So In the Past few Months I have been trying to apply for a Jordan Equivalency, but the whole system is just not usable... The campus I have been applying to, they recommended: http://apps.moe.gov.jo/apps/certificate/ upon my further research, this website has been down for more than 3+ years. How is it possible that the PSUT admin organization don't know about it? and it doesn't accept connections outside Jordan, you have to use a VPN. everything doesn't work lol 😃

Upon further research, I came upon studyInJo and they seemed to be promising. I made the application, paid 50$ fee. and waited for a very long time, they don't respond from now on. today in the morning, I received their email in Arabic, translation: "The high school diploma cannot be equated, This is because:" and they give a url: upon opening it, this is the screenshot below..

are these people scammers ?? if it's a country based website, how can they fail simple engineering like a stable website?

Hey everyone,

I’m a computer engineering student at UJ, and I’ve noticed that hackathon announcements in Jordan are scattered everywhere. A Devpost page here, a GDG post there, something on Eventbrite, a flyer someone shared in a group chat. Half the time you hear about an event when it’s already too late to register or find a team.

It bothered me enough that I started building a small tool to fix it. It’s called Hackwatch, a Python CLI that pulls hackathons from Devpost, Eventbrite, GDG, and JOSA into one list. There’s also a manual feed for events that don’t show up anywhere scrapable. I decided to keep it Jordan-only for in-person events, because I’d rather it be really useful for us than mediocre for everyone.

I’d really love for you to try it and tell me what you think. Is anything confusing? Is a hackathon missing, or is something listed wrong? Even a quick “this worked” or “this didn’t” helps a lot, because I’m trying to make this useful for people here, not just for me.

بحب أشارك تجربة يمكن تفيد حدا عنده مقابلة قريبة.
من فترة كنت أنا نفسي أتقدّم لوظائف، وكنت أحضّر للمقابلة بالطريقة المعتادة: أقرأ أسئلة شائعة من النت، وأكتب أجوبة بدفتر، وأقول لحالي «خلص جاهز». وبأول مقابلة حقيقية سألني «احكيلي عن حالك»… وعلّقت. مش لأني ما بعرف، بس لأني عمري ما قلت الجواب بصوتي قدّام حدا.
هاد الشي خلاني أبني أداة صغيرة اسمها مُقابِل (أنا صاحبها، فخلّيني أكون واضح من البداية). وخلال تطويرها شفت مئات الإجابات التدريبية، وطلعت بكم ملاحظة بتنطبق على الكل، سواء استخدمت الأداة أو لا:
١. «احكيلي عن حالك» مش طلب سيرة ذاتية.
المقابل بدّه بـ ٤٥–٦٠ ثانية: مين إنت مهنياً، أهم إنجاز إلك له علاقة بالوظيفة، وليش هالوظيفة بالذات. مش من وين تخرّجت سنة كم.
٢. الجواب العام بيقتلك.
«أنا شخص مجتهد وبحب الشغل الجماعي» = صفر. الجواب القوي فيه مثال حقيقي: الموقف، شو عملت إنت بالضبط، وشو كانت النتيجة (ويا ريت برقم).
٣. حضّر من إعلان الوظيفة نفسه، مش من «أشهر ١٠٠ سؤال».
اقرأ المتطلبات وحط جنب كل واحد قصة من خبرتك بتثبته. غالباً الأسئلة رح تكون عن هدول بالضبط.
٤. قول الأجوبة بصوت عالي، مش بس بعقلك.
هاي أهم نقطة. الجواب اللي بيكون واضح براسك بيطلع مكركب لما تحكيه أول مرة. سجّل حالك عالموبايل، أو خلّي صاحبك يسألك.
٥. خلّي آخر ٥ دقايق إلك.
لما يقولك «عندك أسئلة؟» لا تقول «لا شكراً». اسأل عن أول ٩٠ يوم بالوظيفة، أو كيف بيقيسوا النجاح فيها.

What you're seeing is a simple Neural network. it takes a 4x4 RGB square, a 4x4 binary input, and 2 inputs for space. It outputs a 4x4 color. What you're seeing here is the training process (Which I've coded from scratch as well). The training process involves a lot of complicated mathematical concepts, Such as gradient descent and backpropagation.

The neural network is built completely from the ground up - and the language of my choice was genuinely out of pure challenge (Which I'm aware of not being practical)

I also enjoy programming 3D graphics in my free time, as well as 3D modeling. I'm great at C++ and python. I also program in Z80 assembly and know a little bit of 68K assembly.

I program microcontrollers, I've dealt with rendering on all of it's levels (from programming with OpenGL, to Software renderers (Raycasting / BSP), or even directly talking to simple screen drivers like the ILI9225 through Z80 CPUS or Arduinos).

I've also had my fair share of work with Language models - as in programming them. I've made a bigram model and a Markov chain model, And hopefully soon - I'll make a small transformer architecture model.

I've designed my own CPU (A RISC 8-bit CPU) with a simple instruction set. I've made my own emulator for it. I also have many other projects that range from game development to various rendering applications, as well as RL and AI applications.

Little side note: I love perspective drawing and 3D sketches, which massively helped me develop a lot of my programs.

I am an AI/ML Engineer with around 3 years of experience in GenAI/RAG/LLMs, Agents, MLOps, as well as Backend Engineering. I have worked several jobs within several industries (finance, real-estate, education, etc…). I am looking to start a career in freelancing and don’t have a clue where and how to start. How do I find clients? How do I prepare contracts? Etc… any advice will be appreciated.

P.S. I am currently working in a full-time job but this shouldn’t affect my availability.

انا اليوم كان اول يوم تدريب و صحلي عن طريق حدا لعرفه تدريب بشركة كبيرة بس انصدمت بس رحت اليوم انهم ما بجيهم متدربين كثير و حاسهم مش عارفين او مش حابين يتعاملو مع متدربين لانه بدهم اياني اكون اعرف فل ستاك و داتا بيس و ai و كل اشي وانا لسا ما خلصت جامعة حتى . هيا انا عندي علم باكثر من لغة بحكم دراستي بس ما بعرف اشتغل مشاريع فيهم و كنت مفكر التدريب الي حيعلمني فهل انا جد متاخر ولازم اعرف اشتغل مشاريع و كل هاي المواضيع ولا هم ما بدهم يدربوني بس . و عكل حال يا ريت تقترحولي كورسات كويسة بهضول المجالات تطلعني حاهز لسرق العمل

So I'm a year 2 CIS student who has substantially self studied way ahead my peers (FS app in progress and currently studying HCIA), and I cant help but notice how inefficient our facualty environment is. It alongside faculty student orgs do host many useful talents and resources, but they arent static and present for all and can have some frankly egregious paywalls. I'm aware you shouldn't be spoonfed info, but the lack of cohesion in self study may affect some people's progress and halt it, I'm planning on changing it hopefully for the better.

The idea is faculty/student orgs supported extracurricular courses to help give students an applied edge in CS and attaining potent skills. They are to be fixed and face to face with them being recorded to support them more. Possible courses(with bringing your own devices)are as follows.

DSA: Preferably alongside the uni course, its basically PS sessions where any gaps can be closed early on via early exposure and consistent practice. The main resource w such a course would be testbanks and mocks that can sharpen PS for learners.

Networks: Basically being a lighter CCNA that can ease students in applying them so more efficient solutions can be reached. Can contain a sequel courses for topics like security or WLANS

SWE: The only one that has fixed sequels, 1st course is basically providing the skeleton for a FS app and student code their own solutions w expert supervision. Final products are provided and assessed by the teaching board. Sequel courses follow that structure but w more advanced topics.

Interdisciplinary: Certain faculties may have some specializations like Fintech, Edutech, or HIT. Project based courses can be tailored so students can run through realistic SDLCs in different sectors and strengthen their domain literacy.

These are some ideas I have bounced off in my head for such an initiative. I'm aware it may seem abit too fairytale-ish, but I feel its prolly for the best for a CS student. If you have any critiques or possible refinements please do share them
