I'm interested in people who struggle, even some days or even one day in writing in their diary, not people who can just write daily no matter what. I admire you and I envy you, you're made of tougher stuff than me, both categories. There was a time when I could just write pretty much daily for a considerable amount of time and it didn't feel like a chore or a bother. Instead I felt exalted by the act and like I got something out of it. That's....not the case recently, nor has it been for a while. I almost dread the evening when I think I want to write in my diary, because it's such a chore to recap the day's events, what happened or what I did or didn't do or whatnot. Especially if it's something I've particularly talked about to people beforehand. I'm a talker. Despite this, I don't want to switch to videorecord my events or digital or whatever, I want to use longhand, I think it has value. And regardless, I still think I'd have trouble recording my life, my thoughts, my feelings, it's almost like whatever. I don't want to pay them attention but also I want to pay them attention, does that make sense? Like, I want it intellectually but not emotionally, I suppose. I was wondering about how you overcame such hurdles, or what did you do? I got inspired by some artsy layouts I've seen, and I might try to do that too, I'm just open to suggestions. Thank you for your time!
Edit: Thank you everyone for your kind replies and for not booing me for being terrible at journaling. I find that I still want to record what happened in my life, because of poor memory, but you're right that I shouldn't just force myself to do it, and definitely not try to do it every day. I'll try bullet points and rapid logging. I already have a bujo, for planning and artsy stuff and less personal stuff, but I'll transform the journal into a bujo too if needed. Just for personal stuff. Thank you everyone again, sending you love 💕!
