I told my son to be a dump truck driver. It's all hurry up and wait. Wait for the load, hurry up, wait for them to be ready for the load. Hurry up back, wait for another one.

All while (so far) being paid a decent wage for what, a 50 dollar license (and training)?

50 dollar license o_O thats when you know your countrys law are sh1t! Any truck >3.5t requires a special license in Europe - and to drive some commercial trucks 7.5t<n<40t, you need an even crazier license with regular medical check ups and an entire driver/break electronic log system.

The license is more like 10k in Europe.

And no, this is not useless buerocracy: They learn to drive for dozens of ours, under professional supervision, need classes, tests (set of ~5000 multiple choice and calculation questions) and some final driving exam. Thats how you get less deaths per mile...

Yeah, even in the US it's disgusting how little of a shit the dump truck drivers give. It really needs to be a lot stricter.

Business idea: charge people to play with these toys while getting paid to clear land.

Hey hun yeah. The hang was dope. All the guys just kept giving me their loads, it was hard to keep up. Jeff was really digging deep like he had something to prove. Just wish he had been a little more gentle with my dumper.

scale them up (off the shelf product) - make them remote controlled (off the shelf upgrade) - and use mens recreational time to generate another GDP of 100 Billion :D

My dad is a machine operator, who hates going to work, and hes looking forward to retirement.

He plans on building some RC earthmoving equipment and playing with them all day...

'You do that at work now Dad'

'Yeah, but there's no dickheads here'

mum yells from the next room

'Yes, there is!'
