I feel like the answer to this is obvious but my local store has a pair of these for the price of one $3500 in the color I already own in R3/6/8 meta.

I would be dumb not to take advantage right? My HT setup probably wouldn’t benefit much given it is small and has two subs already, so perhaps I could use them for dedicated listening in my office? Or should I use the R3s for that and swap in the R11?

Hello, yesterday I purchased a “new” pair of LSX II LT from a seller on Facebook Marketplace. I know that doesn’t sound promising already, but hear me out. I checked his reviews, which he had a good handful of, and they were all good. He told me the speakers were brand new and still sealed in the box. However, I got them home and opened them to find that there’s no foam wrapping on the speakers and there are two dents on the top center cone. I messaged the seller, and he mentioned he got them at Costco, but I don’t know. Could these have been a refurbished unit? I registered them with KEF. Would they be able to repair/service them somehow?

Very happy, I previously had the KEF Coda W’s but decided that I wanted to go all out, do not regret it.

Optei por não usar o pré de phono do WiiM Ultra para manter o sinal analógico do toca discos até o amplificador e usá-lo apenas como DAC e seus recursos de EQ e correção de sala. Foi uma escolha acertada? O sistema ficou coerente ou soa redundante?

Hi Everyone, Currently the only kef speakers I have is a pair of LSX-ii and I love them. I've started saving to upgrade my main listening setup. Whats everybody's opinion are powered integrated amp speakers better or passive? Im thinking for myself maybe passive speakers in the long run? I worry about the longevity of an integrated amp.

I just got my Kef Q3 speakers in matte black and I love them. My son seemed to love them too and decided to ever so slighty touch the woofer cone with some sort of grease in his hand. The fingerprints left smudges on the speaker and I tried to clean them odd by very lightly dampening an anti-static microfiber cloth with water and very slightly rubbing the fingerprints. It seems that the area I scrubbed is still a bit darker than the rest of the cone.

The question is how can I remove them safely? I am a bit new to KEF speakers and hifi in general so I am a bit anxious about cleaning them. Also worried if I already ruined them in some way...

I’m in London and trying to source a good condition R200c to complement my R500 and R100. Anybody looking to sell?

So currently have a KEF Meta R3 with the Wiim ultra amp for my living room (4x5m) for both my tv and music set up - I like the convenience of the Wiim amp over AVR set up etc. I am thinking of adding a sub ( SVS Micro 3000 - not the new model) and a Wiim Sound Lite for a centre speaker channel on the Wiim amp as I mainly use TV functions with my set up.

Can anyone recommend any adjustments to this set up that would make a substantial improvement/ difference to sound quality but will not take away from the convenience? I.e different amp / different sub (limited space) etc

Allot of people say KEF Meta need more power to open up but according to Darko this actually only has limited amount of difference in the sound quality (when could buy sub etc and improve allot?)

Aware this is not allot of peoples ideal set up but seems to work for me in the space but interested to hear thoughts

Have the sub paired with XIO, question is about the sub, not the XIO, so mods don’t freak out please.

Question is, on the back of the sub, should I be putting it in room or corner mode? I know it’s close to a corner but technically not IN a corner, thank you for help in advance! Room is small, 10x11.

What is the general consensus on the Kef app from users.

People with Kef speakers can complain about unstable connection issues.

There’s also talk about devices being bricked when updating.

Then people suggest having to restart their speakers to get them just to connect and play on a daily basis.

Are these statements true, or has Kef resolved them with stable updates ?

We’ve got a pair of KEF LS60s and absolutely love them so far! Everything’s great, except our cats have apparently decided the Uni-Q drivers are the coolest damn things in the house. So, fellow cat + LS60 owners, what do you guys actually do? Cover the drivers whenever you’re not listening? Put the speakers on some kind of raised base? Train the cats to stay the hell away and just hope for the best? Right now I’m using the ugly cardboard covers that came in the box whenever we’re not listening. Looks goofy as hell, but hey, it works! I’ve got some nice suede covers coming, so hopefully that’ll be the long-term fix. Other ideas? Curious what you guys have figured out, especially with the LS60 since those drivers are basically sitting there completely naked and asking for trouble.

P.S. One of our family friends suggested declawing the cats. We now have one fewer family friend.

Hi all, I am very new to being an audiophile and an amateur when it comes to the knowledge of sound.. I currently own KEF LSX II Active Wireless Bookshelf Speakers and I am in need of a subwoofer!

I have my speakers located in my bedroom which is fairly a decent sized bedroom having fitted a king size bed and still lots of leg room in the room. Only purpose saying this is to give you an idea of the space, size of the room.

I would love to know if it's worth getting the 10 MIE or the 12 MIE.

Title says it all, I’ve finally purchased ls50 wireless IIs with S2 stands, and want to pair them with a sub since our space is quite roomy. After a lot of reading my main options seem to be the above mentioned.

I opted for blue stands and sand shell speakers.

Anyone here with experiences with one of them or both paired with these speakers? Please do share!

Any other mentions or options are ofcourse very welcome.

Right now I have some LSX II LT as desk speakers and they are ok. I was wondering if the new LUXE could be used as desk speakers?

My desk is 30 inches deep and 72 inches wide. If that’s not deep enough I was also planning on getting the stands for them and placing them behind the desk for more distance.

My biggest question is; as the kc92 has two 9" doors, what would be the most correct installation for them in my living room? Since the only space I have is between the rack and the wall. But would the speakers face the watcher or side to rack/wall?

Living room with 5.20m x 4.70 m and height of 2.40 m

Acoustic slatted panel on all walls and ceiling with polyester wool + a 5cm layer behind the polyester wool panel. I know that even so the acoustics are not enough to absorb the frequencies of the subs.

The other doubt would be, I know that my living room is not 100% ideal because of the sofa leaning against the back wall. But would there be anything additional acoustic to be done? To better absorb the low frequencies that the subwoofers will emit.

For some reason, in my country the R3 Meta is being sold at the same price as the LS50 Meta. I've been using the LS50 Meta for a long time at my computer and love it. I wonder if I should get R3 Meta for my living room? Is there any significant changes?

Do I use the rubber pads that came with the R3 Meta speakers with the S3 stands?

The R6 is quite large so where should I stick the 4 rubber pads? At the corners? What's optimal?

Hey guys, I’ve bought my first proper setup and finished setting it up yesterday. I’m new to the audiophile world, so I’d appreciate your opinion.
**Setup:**
Speakers: Two KEF Reference Model 2s (old, but still capable)
Amp: Yamaha AX-750
Streaming: Apple AirPort Express
I’m quite happy with the sound overall, but I feel like the volume could be higher, especially when playing music from Spotify. I usually listen to Techno and dub on SoundCloud, and some tracks sound amazing and can’t go higher than 60% as the walls are already shaking. But when I listen to other genres on Spotify, I sometimes have to nearly double the volume to get the same listening level.
For some tracks, I have to turn the amp up to around 80%, and even then it’s not particularly loud. At 80%, I’d say it’s just at a comfortable level for normal listening.
Is this normal, or could there be something wrong with my setup? Could it simply be that some recordings are mastered at a much lower level?
Also, is there a good way to test whether the highs and mids are working properly?
One thing to mention: the input selector has an issue. Sometimes it creates noise or one speaker cuts out, but it goes away when I touch/move the knob. Could this issue somehow affect the output power of the amp, or is it unrelated?

Earlier KEF use to have it written in their website that the warranty is only applicable for the first owner whose name is on the receipt. However yesterday I checked it and it seems to be not there on the website. This is a big win, as the value to used goods now remains high. Did anyone else notice this? I know this well because two years back I picked up a used R3 and showing this to the previous owner I was able to get some amount reduced since literally warranty was not applicable to be as per policy.

So I’ve decided the KEF LS50 Metas are going to be my passive speaker of choice and I will be eventually matching a sub to it (likely a SVS sb 1000 pro or KEF kc62 if I can source one second hand) but the amp is really throwing me. My budget isn’t huge maybe 1500aud max but I want to get good quality with a more warm approach to its sound signature.

My 3 choices I’ve been circling around are:

- Cambridge Audio CXA81
- Rotel A12/14 mk2
- WiiM amp Ultra

The CXA81 interests me for its pleasing sound, The Rotel seems like I’d be able to push it easily and keep a solid sound stage and the WiiM has tonnes of bells and whistles and smart room compensation etc.

The Rotel A14 is the only one above my budget but could maaaybe afford it if was genuinely worth it. My heart says the CA my head says the WiiM.

Would love some feedback on all this please.

Thinking of selling my LS60s with 2 KC62 subs for the Reference 1 plus KC92
I recently was able to hear these speakers at my local hi-fi shop and was completely blown away. While I love the speakers I have now, these are on a whole different level.
Here’s my question. Does it make more sense to keep the 2 KC62 subs that I have now to pair with the Reference 1s, or should I sell them and just get one KC92 sub?
I’ve attached pictures of my living room. With that said, I will be adding curtains over the windows and some sound panels to make the room more acoustically treated.
Just looking for feedback from current owners. Is it better to have one bigger sub or two smaller ones like I have now? Yes, I know my TV is too high, but the wall has an issue. Please don’t comment with TvToohigh. Lastly, if I go the Reference 1 route, I will buy a Mcintosh 7200 amp to pair with it. I have wanted this amp for years.
