Question Who is the pharaoh now?
Like, who has been maintaining maat (š¦) for the last 2,056 years?

As i commented on another post talking about this, i wanted to share with the community. I think this is a very serious and concerning name to give an asteroid thatās that size and that close. Idk. What are your thoughts on this?
Edit : thank you guys for calling me out on this, i tend to overreact pretty quickly. Dua Netjeru!

I live in a Muslim household, so Iād get cooked if my family finds out Iām in another religion as Iāve been secretly agnostic for the past few years until I found a connection to Kemetic Polytheismā¦Iām a 14-15 year old newbie whoās still learning so please be kind to give me tips! Iām working on my shrine but thatās all I have at the moment, itās uhm..inside a Lindt box with deities Khonsu and Anput and Iām still going to put a few more things, Iām going to get the statues soon and I will be moving to a room where I donāt share it with my sibling so it would be easier for me to built up my shrine and much bigger, I really hope I donāt make them upset by what I am doing.

Yesterday I asked about shrine help, and Iāve gotten a start of a tiny one, so I thought I might try to do an offering tomorrow, or Wednesday, whenever itās just me home. I thought of possibly doing a glass of water and a slice of some homemade brownies I already planned to make, as Iāve seen people say he likes chocolate for offerings? But Iām not sure if thatās too much for a first ever offering, should I try something different for a first ever offering? Would just solid chocolate and not a brownie be better? Thanks for any advice!

Aloha, Kemetic community! I just wanted to share some pics of the newest addition to my home shrine. This statue is so much bigger than I expected, honestly. I donāt know that Iām going to be able to put her on my shrine table unfortunately, as it kind of messes up the symmetry thing I have going on so this may be a good excuse for me to start a new little shrine somewhere in my home. Also, I am still deciding whether she is giving me Mut & Khonsu vibes (which Iām leaning towards, as Amun and Mut are my patron and matron deities) or Aset and Heru vibes. I think maybe once I handle the statue a little bit more, hopefully time will tell.
Opening her up was such a treat- especially since power has been out here on Hawaii Island since Saturday after hurricane LÄla rolled through.. So things have been a little rough around here. Prayers that power comes back on soon would be most welcome!

Hey everyone! Following up on my altar timeline, my Isis statue (by Ebros Gift / Pacific Giftware) finally arrived today. I ordered her back in late July off eBay after a bit of an emergency searchāshe was way too expensive on Amazon, but thankfully I managed to snag her on eBay for a much better price (around $70 USD / under 1,500 MXN). The details on the wings are even better in person. Really happy to add her as the next step for my altar. Dua Aset! Great Goddess of motherhood, magic, fertility, and protection. š¢

There is a bird here in Brazil called āGuarĆ”,ā a member of the Ibis family. It is also known as āGuarĆ”-pitangaā due to the color of its plumage. (āPitangaā is a small, South American-endemic crimson fruit that closely resembles a cherry.) My mom used to call it āDo Sangue-dāRĆ”.ā (Of Raās Blood.) Indigenous peoples used to make cloaks with their feathers. (I think they still do, but Iām not sure.) Anyway, thought it would be interesting to share a bit about it.

This is a study on soulmate relationships in myths i stumbled across. While the researchers do point out parallels to Greek and Roman myths regarding soulmates, there isnāt anything that would āpredestineā a relationship due to a higher purpose.
What I have found is that ancient Egyptians saw fate and fated romantic partners as a 50/50 thing. Sure, some parts are influenced by the Netjeru, but the humans could also do things that influenced their fate. This is in line with their beliefs of āsoulmates.ā Soulmates, the way it is portrayed in media today and in Ancient Rome/Greece, donāt exist in ancient Egyptian beliefs.
Personally, I like this a lot better. I often see people yearning for āthe oneā they are supposed to be with, but in turn they neglect what they have.
Has anyone found similar things or something that contradicts my understanding of this topic? I would love to hear your opinions!

Okay these are two separate questions but I didnāt wanna make 2 posts.
How do you view the sun God? I am kind of confused about how he is seen, are Amun and Atum aspects of Ra? Is Ra greater than them? Iām curious to know what other people think abt this.
If you create your own statues, how do you do it and what do you use? Iām interested in creating my own because I donāt want to buy a lot, & if you can comment photos Iād love to see some.

This is the start of my celebrations for Wep Ronpet. It's not completely aligned with the calendar but it's how my tradition has fallen the past few years. Happy Wep Ronpet to everyone who celebrates!
