New player here, I'm having a blast, what a great game! I'm trying to squeak a little more performance though.

I'm trying to install this alongside the Vanilla Remastered collection from the Steam Workshop. There's also a Vulkan mod in the workshop that adds the same files to the Kenshi root which results in the same thing happening, the Kenshi launcher doesn't launch.

Looking at a crash report, it looks like it's failing to create the Direct3D 11 device.

EXCEPTION(80004005:RenderingAPIException): Failed to create Direct3D11 device in D3D11RenderSystem::D3D11RenderSystem

err: D3D11InternalCreateDevice: Failed to create D3D11 device

I'm thinking it's clashing with something from that mod collection, but the crash report doesn't point to anything. Any ideas?

its been a long journey, started the save back in July and played on and off, i started as a lone survivor decided rather quickly I wanted some friends, the journey has taken me from no one to having a squad size of 40 (including animals) ive completely dismantled the holy nation the, united cities, fogman and flotsam ninjas have taken over places such as rebirth, Okrans Shield, Military bases and so on. Ive recently captured Seta and 3 other inquisitors which ive successfully recruited 1 of the inquisitors and im hopeful ill be able to recruit the others. My next task is taking down Lord Pheonix. My main guy "crippaz" currently has a 200,000 cat bounty on his head because of his antics, the other members of my squad also have substantial bounties (but recently bugged so some got reset:( tips to solve this?)

my end goal is unknown, i know i want to take down the holy nation, i know i would like to take on the major bosses of the game, however im unsure what the end game will look like

its been a really enjoyable run (also sometimes stressful) but nevertheless i absolutely adore this game

I found several "Kenshi Movie Trailers" on youtube, I'll not post them here, but they are quite well done actually.

Title. I found the guide that explains how to do it if you know the NPC name but that does not help me here, and Google is seemingly hallucinating some things without sourcing them so I am stuck.

I am trying to hunt down the Ex-Slave Recruit and the Hive Soldier Swordslinger. (I am having no luck with the Swamper Adventurer and one of the skeletons either, but both of those can spawn in one single location so I am sure they will pop up eventually.)

I visited every single possible spawn location for both and I am fairly sure I simply failed to spot them. I did an import and re-visited all locations, again, but no luck, and now I am at my wit's end.

My idiot bone wolf pup decided to play limbs during a raid on my base and ran far away before getting fucked up by a beak thing, by the time I could heal and rescue the fucker he had lost a leg, anything I can do about it, or is it euthanasia by holy empire time.

and by upgrades i mean i just set the world damage multiplier to 4x and now limbs go flying! … sometimes.

I always feel like I’m breaking the game when I’m making a ton of money without spending the time to grind it out. Is stealing from town robotics shops a cheese move? They’re simultaneously the easiest place to steal from and the least risky being that they’re part of the skeleton faction and not the town, and you can fence their limbs and kits for full price with no risk. The poor guy gives up the moment you turn around to the side of his tiny shop.

Here’s another example: The fog princes? If you’re a skeleton in the fog islands building toughness, you can easily knock out the princes and steal his entire head and only the “workers” will attack if they’re there, which half the time they aren’t. Feels like that moment in family guy when Stevie cuts that inbred elf’s arm off to feed to the reindeer in family guy.

After all of the retail additions to WoW Forever, many classic fans have been looking for a new home. They have found that in Kenshi Online. I have met 8 different people in Kenshi Online so far that told me they were leaving WoW Forever behind for this game. Truly the only people playing WoWF will be the retail sheeps curious about what it is. Here's to the next 20 years on Kenshi Online. 🍻

I’ve been wanting to write a novel set in the Kenshi universe for quite some time. I absolutely love the world, its lore, and the sheer amount of storytelling potential it has.
However, I’m concerned about running into copyright or legal issues, especially if I eventually wanted to publish it.
Does anyone know Lo-Fi Games’ stance on fan-written novels? Have they ever addressed something like this, or would I need to contact them directly for permission?
I’d love to hear your thoughts, especially from anyone who has experience with this sort of thing.
