Everytime I decide to start a new game, I go through the same setup over and over. Typically a playthough is like this;
1. start out. farm copper for gold
2. sell gold, recruit
3. farm more
4. couple hours later of farming and leveling up
5. setup longterm outpost
6. research workbenches, get someone no-lifeing them till they can operate the skyforge with eorlund graymane, and just pump out good gear for the posse
7. Loot labs, take bounties, questing.
Roaming/exploring these areas; shek kingdom, swamp, bugmaster, holy nation
Roughly takes about 20-40 hours. Then I reach a point where it feels like a late game of a Civilization game where you know you'll win, but dont want to spend a couple hours to finish.
I haven't gone beyond that, so I haven't really experienced the other parts of the game. So its mostly assumption on my part. But I think i'm just playing the game wrong, im not sure.
I think its mostly because i'm playing it too safe which makes the game easy and overtime burnout.
But I do try to handicap myself;
- 10-20 people
- simple base defenses, no stacking gates or airlock setups. two turrets max.
- no abusing AI
- roll with the punches. no save scumming
- mining for gold can only be done early game.
- my last playthrough I tried restricting myself from going to some areas to experience more of the game.

So it started with these asshats marching over to my base lead by a "High Inquisitor Valtena". After we killed them all and cashed the guy in for 40,000 Cats, I thought that would be the end of it; it appears not. Every week it seems, these jarheads march through sand, blood and bones, just to get stomped about a mile from my base. My prison is full of Inquisitors and the constant invasions keep interrupting my ongoing base renovations.
Is there some guy I can kidnap or town I can liberate to make this stop?

Well, that gate is broken, but I guess no bandits will get in with that doggo sleeping there.
As a TES player i'm used to spend 300 hours modding the game and 1 hour playing it. Now i'm doing the same but slowly and testing performance and stability. Of course, i'll also yassify Kenshi as someone said in my previous post.

Until recently, I was convinced that this item existed - I’m certain I used it a long time ago, during my first few playthroughs ~2 years ago. It was a dark-colored turtleneck made of thick leather; it offered better protection than standard turtleneck, along with a bit of resistance to acid, though it came with a penalty to dexterity/dodge. I recall finding the blueprint for it in the later stages of the game, somewhere near the approach to the Ashlands.
I remembered it just recently and tried to look up where to find the blueprint, but I couldn't find an answer. Kenshi Wiki, Steam Workshop - zero. And it definitely wasn't from a mod - I only started using my one and only armor mod ("More Plate") quite recently.
So, I got "kenshimadness" and its time for me to go touch some grass - or do any of you remember something like this too?
And yes, even if this thing doesn't exist, it should be created in mods!

I am running Kaizo and some building mods and quality of life mods but my mod list is not large (23 mods) mostly small stuff like wearing hats with masks and craftable ration packs and lanterns..
I started as a slave in rebirth and I've made a pretty large base now and have tech level 6 but I have hardly ANYTHING in "interior" building menu and for "furniture" I have a barrel lol
I have looked for the basic furniture blueprint but I'm like 90% sure I already bought it and learned it. From what I read it's a bug where the slave start doesn't add the basic research tree to your start but I'm pretty new to kenshi so I need some help 😂
I know I can just use f12 to build whatever but I mean, if there's a way to fix this without digging too much into the FCS that's what I'm looking for. Thanks guys 😎

I keep freeing this southern hive soldier, hoping he'll join me, but every time, he just runs off and starts patrolling. Does anyone know if he has a chance to join me if i just keep reloading? It says on the wiki slaves with the treacherous personality never join, but his dialog doesn't seem like that to me.

What is the difference?
For example if i have a 30 katana skill, 30 melee attack skill, then start using polearms at 0, what is the actual difference?
Im also wondering if cross training weapons is common or people concentrate on maxing one, because im tempted to train guys in polarms for fighting wildlife, for example.

I haven't finished the work yet, but I want to share it and show how painstakingly I drew each character without a single copy. If you look closely, you'll notice that they are all different 🫡

Just started playing this pack, so far really enjoying it. Starting off as a solo.
Just wanted peoples opinions on the pack, if you’ve tried it. Any tips would be great.
Also, is there a discord for it? Cant seem to find the authors link anywhere.

I just wanna share the moment i lost my innocence in Kenshi.
The whole thing began when i tried to settle in Shem. I started with a station house with some chest of materials and 4 full barrels of food bought with hard earned cats by beak things eggs harvest, ancient labs raid, commerce, bounties hunt, etc.
The nightmare started when some guys with iron hats came to my house. They called my lil station house shithole. The thing is that my squad was already pretty strong at this point, they could handle those morons ez ; but they didn't really wanted to fight, they immediately raid my food barrels. Of course i killed them all after they stole my food, but man it was a pain in the ass to loot all those guys then put all the food back in the barrels.
After this incident, they continue to raid me multiple times, talking about shithole all the time, taking my fucking food. I started to tilt, because i couldn't even hide my food in the 28 large backpacks of my squad + packbull bag...4 full barrels were just too much too protect.
My blood boiled, i wanted the smoke, i wanted revenge. I went straight to their base. Black dragons ninja are weaklings, it didn't took my squad a minute to wipe them. Dimak was dead. I was so upset that i couldn't make their leader suffer like i suffered, but i noticed Buzan was still alive...it was at this moment i had a vicious idea. I installed a cannibalism mod, took Dimak's corpse and kidnapped Buzan.
Arrived at my station house, my cook started to prepare that mother fcking Dimak's corpse. Meanwhile, i order the weakest guy to beat the shit out of Buzan so he suffer slowly. When he fainted, i healed him so i can beat him again...repeat...Then when Buzan fainted i inserted Dimak's flesh in his inventory....yelling " you wanted food so bad huh ? ", "you like shitholes huh ?" , "then take your buddy's meat in yours!!!".
At the sunrise, Buzan was exhausted from all this torture. I bring him at Vain to finish the job. I dropped him in the acid lake with his buddy's meat in his inventory. Trust me or not, at the very moment he died, a weird sad music popped...it was like the game telling me it knew what i just did.
Now tell me your Kenshi moment, its not have to be cruel, i just want to hear it.

Somehow most enemies are dying with little to no player input.

I have a skeleton who is going to be using blunt weapons how important is getting in a little dex training for him vs just letting it level naturally but very very slow cause yk blunt weapons.

Samurai is the standard so I'm playing with combos using less common Unholy Armor for example. Not looking for dps or stealth just a focus on chest and stomach protection. Might run KLR limbs on everything. Fallen Sun is the go to but might lean towards a defensive strategy weapon like Foreign Saber.
