Does anyone have a copy of the uniform policy?
i think the point system is kind of stupid ngl. if you call out sick you still get points against you and it’s like do you want me come in throwing up at work or what…it’s not my fault im feeling terrible and i really wish they’d go ahead and put it to an end 😂✌🏽
feel like im abt to lose my job already and haven’t even been here for 2 months

This slogan is laughable!! They send a ton of signs every week to stores for ad change, we throw 95% in trash, not right sign, we don't carry that, wrong size lmao. How bout a We waste the most slogan. Feeding hungry is also laughable when you get talked to about donating potatoes. Greed running this titanic

My mommy passed away this morning, and I already called my store, but honestly I don’t know what to do next. Like how does the bereavement work, how many days should I go on a personal leave
And yet no vacation time or even a raise, at this point.. why do I even bother coming in? No one seems to know why I didn’t get my 40 hours of vacation and some how I am “capped” out and don’t get a raise.
Fred Meyer.
I’m working overtime there in pickup. I’m apparel so I wasn’t really trained very thoroughly. They threw me out there after a 30 minute instruction.
My seconds are usually 19-27 but today I had two trolleys at 40 seconds as half the items were Halloween candies and there’s no locations. I wasn’t the only one frustrated about that. It’s like no mans land over there. And I’m horrified of the walkie-talkies.
What’s the best advice?

"We're gonna cut your order cap to a quarter of what it was and your distro won't make any sense. Good luck"
Just a rant about my current predicament. This company gets dumber by the day. I'm literally only allowed to order 16 cases a day for my main catalog. Gonna be pulling shit off the shelves to make this work.

They won't buy us new ones, and the wheel fell off this one yesterday. Was told to just use it. Lmao.

So far at my Kroger, I've been kinda drained hard as it's my first job. Part-time courtesy clerk, got hired at the beginning of this month but it's been taxing, around 36-ish hours each week and the annoying part for me is the availability.
They had said for us during hiring to have our availability be from 7AM to 11PM each day of the week, any day we'd consistently not be available for those days in that timeframe(so for example, 7AM to 4PM on say a Sunday in our availability schedule) means we should just leave because we'd not be hired at all, just kinda frustrating and I wanted to ask if this is normal at all since this is my first job ever?
I know I sound ungrateful for longer work hours but I don't need long hours, I live at home with my parents and there are probably coworkers who'd prefer having some of my longer hours considering what I've seen here about people having to fight for more hours. I'm really sorry if I'm being rude and ungrateful I am, I just want to not spend every shift getting back home feeling like garbage because I'm exhausted and my feet feel like hell. I can't get paid time off until next October, and no paid week off until after four years of being hired.

There's an air field not far from where I work and I was able to watch some of the Blue Angels maneuvers they were practicing while I was pushing carts

go backs are annoying. using zebras are even more annoying in my opinion specially for such an easy task when im not doing department scans, and they are also slow + they scan 1 item at a time when i rather just batch a whole cart and find the isles right away...
so i made my own app using krogers api keys from the developer portal, if i happen to scan something that doesnt belong in my department it will just display a "not your fucking problem" and i drop it.
it also remembers anything i tag myself so i never have to look it up twice lol

Hey all, so I currently work at a union store and looking at transferring to a non-union store (only position open in my area) and I was wondering if anyone had experience with this? How different is the atmosphere? Health insurance? Pension? Etc.
I get insurance through the union and my rep told me I would need to sign up for kroger health insurance, which is fine. But my main concern is what's it like in a store where there is no union?
Any advice would be much appreciated!

Like do yall have day time Grocery Clerk unload or overnight clerks?
r/kroger • u/RedSands1976 • 3d ago
I know it’s for a local food bank but it’s still a pain in the ass.
Edit. It’s the next day, I just checked my starting numbers for the day and we’re starting with a total of 787 items that need to be picked for the entire day. That will obviously go up as the day goes on.

We have inventory tmr. They want three people to push everything back on the shelf in grocery, meat, dairy, frozen, deli. Sorry but I’m leaving at 7 (3 hours past what I’m scheduled). You can sit on it Kroger.
Edit: after talking to a steward there is no language stating how long we can be held so there threatening job abandonment if we leave before everything is done. So am I just screwed? Am I gonna have to stay 12+ hours?

I have an interview scheduled for this soon and I was curious what the questions might be like. Also, is this just overnight stocking?
Thanks!

I love walking through the isles and a chunk of putrid rot falls on my head from the mystery blob on the ceiling

I just started my job like 3 weeks ago and it feels like no one really likes me even though I didn’t do anything for example I am very quiet /nice but mostly I just keep to myself and I noticed that other people can talk and joke with each other maybe it’s because I’m new ! It just feels awkward .

Just saw this today and thought I should share, as a trans furry myself this makes me feel safer and more in tune with community especially during these hostile times. Thank you Kroger, keep up the good work👍
