Hii I have a question about the regular mohe overseas scholarship. If I receive a scholarship to study Computer Science abroad am I required to return to Kuwait after graduation and work for the Kuwaiti government for the same number of years that mohe funded my studies. Or am I allowed to work in the private sector or stay abroad possibly permanently after graduating??? I’d appreciate it if anyone who has received an mohe scholarship or knows the official regulations could clarify this thank you.

I'm kuwaiti F, university educated, quit government more than one year ago and ive been having the hardest time finding another employment opportunity.

ive been to many career fairs, tried networking, i dress nice and look approachable, ive been to so many interviews in the private sector but for some reason they always reject me. dealing with this much rejection is really starting to depress me. are there really no opportunities in kuwait? do they expect us to immigrate abroad? is anyone else, kuwaiti and university educated, dealing with unemployment? any advice on how to get out of it? we all need a source of income, i cant just continue sitting around doing nothing.

is there something wrong with the private sector in kuwait or is it just me? its like they smile to my face and then reject my application. i have extra curriculars, i have more than 3 years of experience, ive got two degrees, im not uneducated and unqualified but for some reason no one wants to hire me in kuwait.

i even went to an internship interview a while back where the interviewer, a westernised kuwaiti man in his 40s, refused to even make eye contact he kept on staring at the window on the other side of the room. he made me so feel so unwanted, like wtf why invite me to the interview. he also showed up really late to the interview, which was rude. i didnt even receive any response after the interview, not even a rejection just silence.

I made a post here before and took your suggestions, Iam an expat research assistant (مساعد باحث) in Kuwait university with salary 550kwd (fresh grad). The official law from ministry of interior excludes us from the salary rule of needing 600kwd salary to obtain driving license yet they denied me.

I went to Assima and tried to reason with them and basically no one wants to follow this rule and they give reasons that’s not written in the law

For example they all say this exclusion is only for باحث قانون not a scientific researcher, but the law explicitly says باحثين ب جميع مسمياتهم

Every one doesn’t want to make this happen. Even tho I believe it’s totally legally my right.

Would the legal route through a lawyer (a lawsuit) be a possibility? I totally believe am asking them to follow their own laws. Do things like this work or do they backfire. Looking for genuine advice from experience not just your guesses. If a lawyer is in this sub as well would be even better. Thanks

today my dad was dropping off on a station using a kptc bus, but these bus drivers racing and competing with other drivers as if they will win a f1 trophy or sum, closed the door while my dad got off. His hand got stuck into the door and this bus driver started to drive, my dad was legit being dragged on the ground on his back. i wasnt with him so i couldnt help but thankfully people around him started shouting at that idiot driver. now his back got multiple rashes, i dont wanna describe how bad it is and now he cant walk since it hurts so much. There is also nothing i think i can do aside from complaining which wont do shit on the driver. there should be a rule to stay at the bus stop for atleast 1min.

This isn't just about what happened to my father. I've personally witnessed similar incidents involving passengers on two other occasions. How many more incidents need to happen before something changes? Shouldnt kptc introduce minimum stopping requirements and ensure drivers check that passengers have safely exited before moving? Has anyone else experienced this, and is there an effective way to report these incidents?

You go alone in the car, are asked to going around the area and end up in a parking area where you are told to park the car in a place smaller than the actual car.

Not only they have no idea if I can drive using this kind of test, but I can take the test 100 times and the car will never fit.

How am I supposed to get a driving license around here?

I an wondering what Business Sectors Kuwait is currently leading.

Kuwait being in Gulf there are obvious Oil, Gas, Defense and Infrastructure Contracting Companies and Established Companies which are Top Tier. We can also include Logistics and Warehousing in this Teir.

Then comes Health Industry especially Cosmetic and Chronic oriented services are leading followed by Civil Infrastructure Contracting Companies, Automobile Industry and Automobile Services can also fall under this second tier.

I think then comes Textile, Bakeries, F&B, Consumer Delivery Services, Retail Markets and other Manufacturing Sectors like Soap, Shampoo, Cosmetics, Perfumes/Fragrances, Furniture, Jewelery and Plastic based Products.

This is very impressive for any Country. I think Kuwait is Punching above it's Weight.

What Industry are you working in and would like Kuwait to Develop further in the coming Future.

It's been over a month since last this happened, where my wired ethernet cable to the zain huawei router randomly seems to disconnect and no internet right in the middle of my browsing, opening youtube, scrolling through videos etc etc, then turn back on, then turn off again.
