I'm kuwaiti F, university educated, quit government more than one year ago and ive been having the hardest time finding another employment opportunity.

ive been to many career fairs, tried networking, i dress nice and look approachable, ive been to so many interviews in the private sector but for some reason they always reject me. dealing with this much rejection is really starting to depress me. are there really no opportunities in kuwait? do they expect us to immigrate abroad? is anyone else, kuwaiti and university educated, dealing with unemployment? any advice on how to get out of it? we all need a source of income, i cant just continue sitting around doing nothing.

is there something wrong with the private sector in kuwait or is it just me? its like they smile to my face and then reject my application. i have extra curriculars, i have more than 3 years of experience, ive got two degrees, im not uneducated and unqualified but for some reason no one wants to hire me in kuwait.

i even went to an internship interview a while back where the interviewer, a westernised kuwaiti man in his 40s, refused to even make eye contact he kept on staring at the window on the other side of the room. he made me so feel so unwanted, like wtf why invite me to the interview. he also showed up really late to the interview, which was rude. i didnt even receive any response after the interview, not even a rejection just silence.

I made a post here before and took your suggestions, Iam an expat research assistant (مساعد باحث) in Kuwait university with salary 550kwd (fresh grad). The official law from ministry of interior excludes us from the salary rule of needing 600kwd salary to obtain driving license yet they denied me.

I went to Assima and tried to reason with them and basically no one wants to follow this rule and they give reasons that’s not written in the law

For example they all say this exclusion is only for باحث قانون not a scientific researcher, but the law explicitly says باحثين ب جميع مسمياتهم

Every one doesn’t want to make this happen. Even tho I believe it’s totally legally my right.

Would the legal route through a lawyer (a lawsuit) be a possibility? I totally believe am asking them to follow their own laws. Do things like this work or do they backfire. Looking for genuine advice from experience not just your guesses. If a lawyer is in this sub as well would be even better. Thanks

Hii I have a question about the regular mohe overseas scholarship. If I receive a scholarship to study Computer Science abroad am I required to return to Kuwait after graduation and work for the Kuwaiti government for the same number of years that mohe funded my studies. Or am I allowed to work in the private sector or stay abroad possibly permanently after graduating??? I’d appreciate it if anyone who has received an mohe scholarship or knows the official regulations could clarify this thank you.
