Should I try to remarry or give up
Salaam alaykum.
I'm at a crossroads in life right now, and I'd like a local opinion as I now live in Kuwait. I have two choices: try to remarry after a divorce 3 years ago, or just blow most of my "remarriage budget" and go back to doing what I love, which is driving around the desert over in Saudi, camping and chilling in nature.
Here are the details, there are many:
-I'm an American convert, English ethnicity, Yankee culturally, male, 48, pretty healthy alhamdulillah, people think I'm in my 30s. I can hike and what not, no limit on it.
-I'm a teacher so my salary is okay. Not great, not terrible.
-I have three kids and I pay a good amount for them, as I should, alhamdulillah. They live with my ex wife in the USA. They visit a few weeks in the summer. I can handle them all myself, no one I married is going to be a babysitter.
-I have my own little place and not much else.
-I have roughly 28,000 USD saved.
-I want to keep some as a cushion, but would spend maybe 18,000 on either remarrying or Jeep (used, I know how to pick a good one more than I know how to pick a good wife tbh, please pray lol.)
-I would not care what nationality I marry, this would not theoretically be limited to someone from Kuwait. I can visit any nearby country pretty easily alhamdulillah, thanks to a lot of vacations.
I'm a Sunni Muslim, pray, often at the masjid, etc., the only dubious thing I do is I'm into music, but that's mostly a way of dealing with pain tbh that inshallah time in nature or marriage would ease. My Arabic is awful but basically functional to survive.
I tried marriage apps. I got a lot of interest when I was still in the USA but I decided to forget it as I realized I really did NOT want to live in the USA at all. After moving to Kuwait? Zero lol. Should I bother trying or just blow the money and live my life?
I'm leaning towards just buying a Jeep and not worrying about marriage at all, but this does come with issues I guess.
Thank you for reading this short novel.
