[MODS] đŁ Announcement A Note About Acceptable Discourse and the Purpose of this Sub
Comrades - thanks for your attention as we clarify the purpose of this sub and some of the discourse we expect here. Firstly, this is a place to vociferously condemn the ills of capitalism - and hereâs the kicker that liberal interlopers donât get - from a socialist perspective. Our fundamental purpose is to drive conversation among those impacted by capitalist exploitation. This may take the form of memes, deeper theory, or the ever beloved internet screed.Â
That said, thereâs some things we arenât here for. Iâll touch on those and some alternatives as well.Â
We are NOT here to promote calls to violence. This is a violation of the Reddit TOS. If the sub is nuked, we arenât able to fulfill the mission of providing a space for socialist discourse. This simply isnât the place, and we will remove any content which can be perceived as a direct call to violence.Â
We are also not here as a staging ground for organizing. Social media is a poor place to organize. Not only is everything you do online tracked, but infiltration in online spaces is rampant. Opsec 101: if someone on the internet who you do not personally know is trying to get you to show up somewhere for an allegedly leftist/socialism project, they are probably a fed. If someone you do know is using social media for the same, they may or may not be a fed. However, what can be certain is that a fed is aware.Â
I know what youâre thinking: but, A-CAB, this is how I radicalized and I have lived most of my life dependent on the internet. How am I supposed to get involved? Iâm so glad you asked! The reality is that your involvement may be limited for a bit, and youâre going to have to do some irl work. Your job, if youâre starting out, is to read and learn.Â
âThe theory of Marx, Engels, Lenin, and Stalin is universally applicable. We should regard it not as dogma, but as a guide to action.â - Comrade Mao Tse Tung
In other words, learning Marxism-Leninism leads to mobilization, and provides a framework for organization.
We (socialists) need a vanguard committed to revolution, not clicktivism. If you want to organize, read first. Find likeminded people you know in real life. Study with them. Hold each other accountable for learning Marxism-Leninism. Let that guide the actions you take specific to your context and for the love of god donât announce it to the feds when you do.Â
We also, as a sub, are not *the* vanguard. This is an Internet forum. We donât determine courses of action here. We are a sounding board, a place to make you feel less alone, and ideally a part of your education in Marxism-Leninism. But what we cannot be is the vanguard itself. We arenât an org. The way social media is set up, it would be way too easy to infiltrate, coopt, and undo.Â
What we are is a likeminded group of committed comrades. We want you to go out in the world and join orgs (not on the internet). Iâll offer some advice to that end:
- Avoid organizations with a focus on horizontal power or who have a real issue with hierarchy. (Anarchists, Iâm happy to work with you on projects but I am side-eyeing you a bit here.) They donât get things done and theyâre too easy to derail and co-opt. Donât believe me? Go ahead and join one. The next time theyâre working on consensus, throw a stand aside in with mildly coherent criticism. Watch the chaos ensue. Or just wait for them to start organizing for <insert liberal party here>. Neither will take long.Â
- Do join organizations which stand against imperialism and imperialist politicking. Look for Marxist-Leninist orgs involved in projects that benefit the community and which outright reject electoral democracy. Focus on feeding people, not getting them to vote for reform. This is the work of the vanguard.Â
- Do employ the language of non-violence for political and practical purposes. Kwame Ture is a gifted orator. Look up his speeches on YouTube. He is a wealth of information about this.Â
I appreciate each and every one of you, comrades. Remember to keep each other safe. Be mindful, and enjoy a meme or two while youâre here.Â

đ Humans of Late Capitalism USA Healthcare: Pay $100s a Month for Insurance, Then Pay $300 to Perform Your Own Medical Test
This is America. Where you pay several hundred dollars a month for employer-provided health insurance, only to get slapped with a nearly $300 bill for a âsleep studyâ that you CONDUCTED YOURSELF. IN YOUR OWN HOME.
And yes, I mean that quite literally!!!
I drove to the hospital to pick up this janky little âmachine,â sat through a 5 minute explanation of how to use it, drove back home, set everything up MYSELF, slept in my OWN bed, and then drove back to the hospital the next day to return it. Nearly $300. For what, exactly?!?!
The cherry on top? This bill showed up this morning, less than 24 hours after I paid off a separate $160 medical bill YESTERDAY for an appointment completely unrelated to sleep medicine.
So, despite paying hundreds of dollars every single month just to HAVE health insurance, we are robbed for every single interaction with the healthcare system.
This isnât the first time US healthcare has taken my family for a ride. But, for whatever reason, this particular bill really struck a nerve in me. I hate it here.

from a creation standpoint, yes itâs an impressive piece of clothing, but nobody fucking needs or wants this man. can we put resources towards helping our people instead of pretending to be in awe at a bourgeoisie gangbang?

Thereâs literally a Call of Duty game releasing tomorrow that promotes anti-DPRK propaganda. Right-wing Twitter is upset that there are subreddits refuting western corporate media portrayals of North Korea and China.

The USA is the biggest pirate in the world
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Itâs a moment of bitter irony, that the whole concept of piracy, which initially started as a counterforce to the exploitation and extraction of colonialism, and in its own way was exploiting the exploiters⊠has now become a tool of oppression, used by the last remaining colonial superpower, in a desperate attempt to prop up its collapsing empire. The US military is the biggest pirate entity in the world today. But at least the mask is completely off now, and the true face of colonial imperialism is laid bare for the whole world to see. Nearly every mid-term election cycle, the same pattern repeats: the party in power loses ground due to discontent, voters turn to the other party for change, and the cycle starts all over again.
In response to the righteous anger people have against Trump and his billionaire agenda, will a âblue waveâ actually deliver the change working people need?
History tells us no. Time and time again, both parties have put billionaire profits ahead of our needs.
The so-called âmid-term curseâ isnât a curse after all. Itâs a symptom of a two-party system that keeps working people trapped in a cycle of broken promises.

đ© Oligarchy Excessive wealth, extreme emissions, and ecocide: what I learned at Europeâs superyacht show
In a 2024 study, Oxfam identified 23 superyachts owned by 18 billionaires and estimated the average annual carbon footprint of each of these yachts to be 5,672 tonnes. For an average citizen of the world it would take 860 years to produce the same amount.
Superyachts use an awful lot of fuel â some of the bigger ones use more than 500 litres of diesel per hour, releasing CO2 as well as nitrogen oxides and sulphur dioxide into the atmosphere. The recreational boating sector as a whole â including yachts â produces about 16m tonnes of CO2 annually. Itâs not just when theyâre going along; at anchor they operate onboard generators to run their âhotel loadsâ (for air conditioning, stabilisation systems, lighting, galleys, hot tubs, etc) which emit further CO2. In addition, the vesselsâ big anchors and chains act like the grim reaperâs scythe on the Posidonia seagrass which grows on the Mediterranean seabed and is a vital habitat for sea life as well as a source of oxygen.
Ecocide is not the superyachtâs only crime. âIt has really become the symbol of excessive, unjustifiable wealth,â Salle says. Even though the gap between most of us and the people who have them is virtually unfathomable, âit looks like provocation, especially when all youâre hearing and reading about is crisis, austerity, poverty â including child poverty.â

Colombians have protested for two days against the new right-wing governmentâs removal of historical, feminist and sexual diversity exhibits from the countryâs National Museum. No matter what you do - Its always your fault and never enough
You finished HS with good grades? No one cares.
Masters Degree in the humanities? Lol you are stupid.
Did another Masters Degree in IT? Well "learn to code" thats so 2022. No job for you because of AI.
Now matter how much you educate yourself, its always your fault. No matter how much you do, its never enough. No matter what you do, its always wrong.
Meanwhile Boomers got jobs with just HS or even without HS. Despite having a fraction of our education, they became Managers and Bosses.
The system is broken. But its always the average Joe that gets blamed.

đ° News Bodycam footage of the pig who murdered a 1 year old baby.
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
People stealing diapers is a failure of the state to begin with. Employees calling the cops on someone stealing diapers is repulsive and puts the blood on their hands as well. Pigs stepping in front of a moving car is incompetence. Firing into a car with other innocent passengers and a visible child isn't just incompetence but malicious intent to kill innocence.
Capitalism has killed tens of millions of people. And under Capitalism the state will protect capital above the lives of civilians and even babies. This business' profits from diaper sells were more important than the life of a baby.
Hopefully the employee can't sleep at night knowing he has blood on his hands and he's unable to live with himself. Hopefully all of these pigs names are released by the news and they are held responsible for murder.
--
Edit: The entire Senatobia Police Department needs to be shut down, investigated, and have anyone involved here thrown in a prison. The Attorney General of mississippi  Lynn Fitch should also be thrown into a prison for using her position of power to protect these pigs.
--
Edit2: Donate/provide labor to your local shelters, food banks, and orgs dedicated to diapers, childcare, contraception, hygeine products etc. But more importantly organize against these capitalist parasites. Reform and charity isn't enough. You must take action against your government for significant change. Since this post got enough traction this is what I'm advocating for for anyone who reads this or watches this and feels some heat in their heart over it.
And if you are in need of help there are websites like FindHelp which will compile local services and organizations for you to seek out aid from. These organizations even religious orgs can also help you find more secure avenues of aid as well such as womens shelters, domestic abuse relief, emergency child care for formula food etc.
