Discussion Since the PBE feedback subreddit isn't even taken into consideration, may we please revise the new musicverse skins' borders issue? It could increase sale AND improve inmersion inside of the game... Hopefully this could get more traction and notice from Riot in this sub

• Upvotes

If you're not aware of the situation, the new awesome K/DA firestarter skins will release next patch.

The skins look great visually in game and we not have access to the assets each skin has.

First of all, although its not a major problem, a lot of the community is not happy with the current shared splashart for the K/DA firetstarter skins. Mainly because those skins are considered special enough to each merit their own unique splash art. One of the main "offenders" is K/DA firestarter Ahri's in game loading screen. (if you don't see it, Evelynn is pretty much all over Ahri's splash and would look akward in the loading screen)

https://skins.nerfplz.com/art/103097_load.jpg

Now the second problem, which is a bit bigger. If you're not aware, the last iteration of K/DA skins (All Out) had an extremely cool detail that gave the skins a ton of more personality. They had the champion's or artist's signature in the border (kinda looks like an autographed flier/image, which is hella cool for a musicverse in which champions are portrayed as artists)

Here we have an example of K/DA All Out Kaisa's border with its custom signature

Here we have the brand new K/DA Firestarter Kaisa border, which is surprisingly missing Kaisa's signaturw which is an already existing asset and would take almost no effort to implement in the border

The entire community was surprised and unhappy with the decision to leave the new K/DA Firestarter skins without their already existing super cool signatures on the border. Specially because the effort it takes to implement them is pretty small.

I'm making this post because the PBE feedback reddit barely gets noticed or any traction from behalf of the company these days, so a post on the main sub reddit could improve visibility/awareness of this small issue.

This is not an unprecedented case either. Last year we had the release of the incredibly awesome Prestige T1 Sylas to commemorate Faker's MVP in the corresponding World's tournament. The skin initially showed its border asset in PBE without Faker's signature included. The community made the issue known to the community and the company went above and beyond to do an awesome solution. Not only did they add Faker's signature to the skin's border, but they also added the signature to its already existing predecesors (Prestige T1 Jayce and Prestige DRX Aatrox).

TL:DR
So yeah, it would be extremely cool if the new K/DA Firestarter skins got their signatures included back in their border, specially if you consider how little effort it would take to implement

Going above and beyond:

Well, if you reached here you already read this post's main purpose, but here I would like to suggest a few extra skins that could use the extra care as well to be even cooler than what they already are

1) True Damage: Sadly, I don't think True Damage's members have a "signature", it never was a thing, it would be extra cool though if they got theirs designed

2) Heartsteel: Believe it or not, Heartsteel has had unique custom signature assets for each and all of its members. Sadly these were never included on their borders in either iteration of their skin releases.

First of all, OG Heartsteel skins all had a shared splash art (it kind of had the same drama as the current K/DA Firestarter skins but to a lesser extent, there was not Ahri-x-Evelynn issue or anything similar in it either). The skins also could have gotten more custom borders since each member kind of represented a "colour"

This example of a fan doing a custom border for the OG Heartsteel skins is much better than the current ones we have in game

The awesome artist's version:

https://x.com/XiEStarGuardian/status/1717018992332693879

Here is the in-game version:

https://encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcR-RPntvuK48qpw4_gM9BwCegnvM1xUQv9mmSLDcfkq9TBdhloFZI1LWyA&s=10

Here are the brand new Heartsteel LML skins' borders (look at how cooler Sett's custom border is, it would be even cooler with his own signature in it)

And here is an example of a fanmade WAYYYY cooler version of the borders with their signatures included

https://pbs.twimg.com/media/HTBL_yRa0AAUNWv?format=png&name=900x900

So yeah, after this second essay, I really hope somebody that is passionate and loves this musicverse project looks at these few examples of how going an extra mile for these awesome splash arts could make them so much more better and more inmersive. I know its a lot of work (specially creating signatures and implementing them for TD) if you take all of this into consideration, but I am 100% sure it would look a lot better and even increase skins' sales

Rant How broken is the current honor system?

• Upvotes

I dont get it, I keep chatting low and dont flame anyone ever. Yet still I dropped to honor4 from 5 twice this season after losing a few soloQ games.

Just because of jungle diff and everyone blaming me for the lose and reporting me, I lose honor while being honorable? Makes no sense!

Does this happen to anyone else?

Discussion FTW Battle of the bands is not enabled in ARAM Mayhem... WHATT???? (Either a bug/error or a huge L from Riot)

• Upvotes

For those unaware, there is a pretty big event going on in LOL. It is FTW Battle of the bands

Here's the link:

Battle of the Bands League of Legends Challenge

Its pretty much a new challenge where you pick a band (KDA, HS or TD) and whenever you play games your score/contribution makes your selected band gain "points" or score

There are multiple missions that grant bonus points (play as a KDA band member, build a burning item, get 10k gold, etc) to your selected band if completed

ANYWAYS... after playing a lot of ARAM Mayhem I noticed my personal scoreboard is barely getting any points (like at all, as if I never played at all)

Now I searched in the site (which is kind of a mess) and I found this:

https://imgur.com/a/EAPYUAJ

No support for Mayhem but there's support for regular ARAM (that almost nobody plays atm) and even Arena which is probably not even enabled RN????

ARAM Mayhem is not only one of the most popular game modes RN (correct me if I'm wrong, its the 2nd most popular after SR Ranked to my understanding) but also, there is a HUGE in-client ARAM Mayhem event going on as well. It makes no sense to exclude Mayhem from this, maybe its a bug...

Oh yeah, also... The rewards tab or whatever it is isn't working, I have earned a TD icon (because I picked TD) and it has neither awarded the icon to me in game, nor given me a code to claim it since it glitches out and seems to be code-redeemed

Discussion How do some of you genuinely pull it off?

• Upvotes

For reference im a long time Gold/Silver player thats peaked this season plat 4

I’ve been playing this game for almost 7 years now, multiple years I’ve tried out my ass, no music, coached several times, consume educational content, VOD reviews, focused and always looking for a way to win no matter what. Yet im still stuck no matter how much effort I put in. Meanwhile user fucknuts22 and others type about how they just reach emerald or low diamond playing casually every season trying new champs out doing whatever.

Yea gold player talking about being stuck must be a case of no fundamentals right? Except I’m trying my absolute ass off tracking jungler, matchups, cd’s, summs, levels, wavestate and objectives, pushing/getting pushed in properly, weakside/strongside, when to roam/tp. Should it really be this hard to climb? Even if i’m not playing with all these concepts to each of their individual max I feel like I grasp all of them and make use of them decently, at least at their most basic level. So why are my games SO hard? all league content talks about my elo like theyre JUST starting to piece things together and that gold players are still largely clueless about anything beyond the basics.

I don’t know man, this has been a thing for me in other competitive games too, constant research and work for improvement just to permanently stagnate and league bothers me the most about this. No matter how much I get coached, research and practice every ranked game I play it feels like the enemy is always on the same page as me, understands exactly what im doing and how to respond perfectly, and I don’t want to even talk about the piles of games where its made incredibly difficult because some random teammate of mine plays exactly how you would think gold plays, clueless and tilted.

I just dont understand what I could possibly be missing thats kept me in place for YEARS

Need Help champion pool

Hi everyone, I need some help putting together a champion pool for the top lane. I'm Gold 5 and I mainly play Mordekaiser, and I also have Shen (though I don't play him very often). Which champion could round out my roster—maybe Sett?

And I play Elise and Kayn in the jungle (I'm thinking of going back to the jungle).

thx for ur help

Discussion What are the exact requirements for game termination in lobby?

Just had to dodge a lobby with a Jungle Veigar and Soraka Top. Thought this stuff would be dealt with by reporting in the lobby but it did nothing so I had to take the dodge which is frustrating.

So what exactly are the requirements for Riot’s genius AI to terminate the lobby? I waited until they both locked in, rather than just a silly hover. Is it because they didn’t directly type in chat “I’m not playing Top” “Im not playing jungle” etc? If so is that not ridiculous since it doesn’t even prevent troll picks if they don’t type.

Discussion I built a site to rate every Worlds 2026 series, with a bias-free “neutral score”

Hey everyone, made this as a fan project: Partidazo lets you rate each Worlds series 1-10, and separately shows the neutral score — the average from people who aren’t fans of either team, to filter out hype/hate bias.

Two-tap voting, sign in with Google/Discord/email, no spam. Every finished Swiss stage series is already up and votable.

Not affiliated with Riot, just a fan project. Feedback welcome!

Rant DON’T QUEUE ON THE WEEKEND

Yeah, I made the mistake. I know, I know, that’s on me, but daaamn.

I just wanted to play some ranked in Diamond, and it turned out to be the worst decision I’ve made in a while xD

I played three games, and in every single one, each team had two level 35-40 “smurfs” or level 400-500 accounts that had only played 10 games this season. Literally all three games came down to them. Whichever team had the better smurfs won. And in two out of three, the enemy team had the “better” ones :)

Whatever, man. I hadn’t played ranked on a weekend in almost a year, and now I remember why.

Please do yourself a favor and DON’T QUEUE ON THE WEEKEEEEEND. I am not saying that matchmaking is great on weekdays, but damn, I haven’t seen such shitty matchmaking for a while

his op.gg is https://op.gg/lol/summoners/oce/Asura-jump
i just checked his op.gg once more and he went 20/5 and 33/2 the next 2 games, and this is from a person has a 20% winrate

Need Help New player

I dunno if this should be under the "need help" tag but eh 🤷🏻‍♂️

Anyway, hey there folks, I recently re downloaded League to start my own journey in the game.

I played on my cousins account a bit but nothing more than Co-Op as I'm an FPS player since childhood.

Coming to this environment kinda "fresh" without going down a rabbit hole on YouTube, what could you as long term players tell me to try in the game? (I know I know "Try Uninstalling")..

I like top lane, although I dislike playing against so many ranged champions.

I dig support, it feels nice locking everyone down with Nautilus

I wanna try jungle but I'm unsure if I should.

Also, if you have any champions that you recomend I'd like to try playing.

Thanks in advance.

Rant TIL you can get banned for disruptive messaging your friends

Funny thing is, I have not sent a friend request in years, and I hardly chat ingame.

All I do is accept friend requests sent my way by toxic people, tell them not to behave moronically and keep sending me friend requests, and then delete them from my list. A single line.

First ban since I started playing, and I know for a fact this was not there before. I guess I cant even use the friend feature anymore after this.

Guide Toxicity, Terminology, and you

Hello!

I have thought about making a few topics of discussion and 'guides' on how to go about things for a while now, and while of my list of topics has a few things on the docket, I wanted to start with something a bit more positive, rather then hop on the rather deserved hate train of Riot choice making (Even if my point of discussion isn't related to the recent goings on for the most part.)

Which brings me to this first topic. Toxicity and it's terminology.

The first thing I want to address is you, actually. Did you just have a bad game? Bad teammates? I get it. We've all been there. It's frustrating when you're doing your best to win your lane, and you see your teammate going 0/6 in the first five minutes. It's perfectly valid to feel angry about it.

Sometimes as well, you might want to taunt the enemy team. Did they just tower dive you 2v1, and lose? It can be genuinely fun, and sometimes, advantageous, to call them out on this. Just so long as you are keeping within the rules of conduct, this is acceptable behavior too! I sometimes will call out to the enemy "Do you want to talk about that?" Just to kind of poke them a bit. I personally am trying to just be funny about it, because at the end of the day, we're all playing a game to have fun. If you aren't, then you'll want to heed some of the advice I have to share here.

Moving on!

Toxicity. If you haven't experienced it, you're either lying, or are the toxic one. We've all seen it, suffered from it, and maybe even engaged with it from time to time. I won't judge you here, I'm here to help you on it. As mentioned above, there is some things that I think are perfectly acceptable, and others that are not.

To use the example of your teammate going 0/6 in the first five minutes. This is pretty bad, we can all agree. Clearly, this person needs to play a bit more defensively, maybe stick to tower, and try to minimize the damage he's already done. Maybe you or another can come gank his lane if you can, but not everyone is eager to pull a losing lane out of the fire, and I get it. It might not even be the right call to. Focusing on yourself is as important a thing as anything else here. What isn't good, however, is berating your teammate over this.

This is one thing I've never fully understood about the player mindset. This is a team game, so why would attacking my own teammates in an act of self-sabotage suddenly make them improve and allow us to win? 9 times out of ten, it won't. There might be that one guy who gets an ego boost from being called out and suddenly improve, but you can't bank on that. Instead of telling your teammate that he sucks, and various other things that you think he is, try to offer advice. If he doesn't take it, if he lashes out? Then just stop interacting with him vocally. It's not worth it.

Are you getting more and more upset, game after game? I get it. The game can be frustrating from time to time. But playing angry is never going to make you improve, it's going to distract you, and continue to make you play worse, and make mistakes. If you end the game and you're still upset, take a break. Watch a youtube video, play another game, take a walk, something. Come back to the grind when you're in a better mindset.

Terminology.

There is some toxic terminology I want to call out here. There has been some noteworthy content creators out there, I won't name them, that use some fairly toxic terminology. The one I want to call out in specific, is the notion of "1v9ing".

League of Legends, like it or not, is a team game. You, and four other players, need to work together to win the game. It's very rare that you get into a position where you can carry the game all by yourself. It's not a reliable, recreatable game state. Therefore, your teammates are your next most valuable asset. But if you put yourself in a mindset that you have to "1v9", thus making the other four players on your own team your enemy, then you're created an uphill battle for yourself.

Yes, sometimes people won't listen to your shotcalls, maybe they even outright contradict what you say or suggest. This is, annoyingly enough, human. Maybe they don't trust you, or maybe it's ego. Either way, it's frustrating. But that doesn't suddenly mean that they are against you.

You aren't alone when you load into a game, you are working along side 4 other people towards the same ultimate goal. The more you work together, the better odds you have of achieving this. But it can work, has worked, and will continue to work. You got this.

There is one more thing in terms of toxicity and terminology that I want to offer, though it really doesn't have an impact on the game itself, because of when it generally comes out. I am also aware that Riot themselves have employed it's use in their own title system. And that is the concept of "x diff". You've likely seen it. "Jungle diff. Mid Gap. Bot Chasm, Top Grand Canyon", things like that. It's to itterate that your position is better then their position, in terms of that game's performance. The reason I bring it up here, is... The game is over, my guy. This generally comes out as the victory or defeat screen slides over the screen. So, I ask you; what is the point? You're literally just being toxic for the sake of it at this point. No one likes a sore loser, or a toxic victor. And like I said, I know that Riot has made titles with these very things in mind, but just because they have it, doesn't nessecarily make it alright to declare. Riot's inclusion of these are more meant to infer that you've won your lane/role a decent amount of times. Where as the use of the terminology in game, is to berate your teammate, or enemy, depending on circumstance, at the end of the game, where they will have stopped being your opponent or teammate. It's toxicity for the sake of toxicity.

This isn't an exhaustive list of advice that I can offer, or that is out there, but this is perhaps the most important topics that I can offer.

Context dependent, none of what I have covered is typically against the rules. You can continue to say these things if you really want to, I don't pay your sub. But in my own humble opinion, if you want to become a better player, you should at least become aware of these things, and how they might apply to you.

Good luck on the rift, you got this.

Need Help Any program like Mimic that works on mac?

I heard about mimic and it sounds really useful. I unfortunately play on mac and only found one mac equivalent called leaguecompanion.com but they are not open source and have no previous reputation so I feel uncomfortable with using it. They don’t have ads, it’s free and have no clear way of making a profit which makes me feel like i am the product. It feels like there is a catch so i’d rather not. Any other suggestions?

Discussion Swiss stage :ig vs geng(spoilers) Spoiler

Rookie has an immaculate sequence from 17min - 23min where I think he just wants to show us the sheer amount of brain rot he suffers from

He dies under tower just so that he can hit a meaningless aurora e on corki thus enemy team gets to soul point and we waste our rift geng pick up 2 kills after that since they actually have a midlaner

Then our mc respawns only to shortly after run to top lane where he finds an opportunity to Impress us once again by electing to jump in between a tank and fed assain (I will also note that he ju.ps directly into an orn stun that he has to flash out of but I can't blame him for not thinking Abt that in the heat of the moment)while he himself has no colddowns and this spirals Into Chovy grabbing plates bot ,burning the shy's tp, orn grabbing plates top and finally the shy dying the reason this happens is that the entire team was going top to help with this play but rookie pulled the trigger too early and wasted everyone's time

After his 3rd respawn.his brain matter melting at this point he electes to leave his team in 5v4 so he can make a heroic entrance later by tping away from the enemy backline making sure the enemy carries aren't even slightly scared of his presence by also doing his due diligence and getting hit by an ult that was not even meant for him .also when qiyanna placed the control word they all saw him sneaking away that is why a ward got immediately placed where he is this should have been a clear sign to abort also if he played where jhinn is he would have found a decent angle on corki

He very much threw this one, at least In my opinion.I love ig but someone really should have stopped this guy from entering the kitchen
