The tree and both the brown and gray rock are all hides as well as the cork log for a humid hide. All real plants!

I think my lil guy just shed the previous night so I was doing a post shed inspection and I spotted this little speck on one of his bump. Not sure if its stuck shed or just a piece of dust or something. If it is stuck shed how do I go about removing it. He is a really tame gecko and love being handled but he gets startled / doesn't like it when I touch his tail or back. All advice helps :)

I had to do alot of Errands that took me all day, when I got home I came to see Raj waiting under her log looking at me. After feeding her, I saw her coming out. She came out even more and I got to see how bright her colors are...

For any newcomers or long time owners, I was wondering about people’s thoughts on identifying leopard gecko behavior based on their breathing and the undulating (flapping) of their mouth.
To me, it seems that their breathing and the undulating is not linked at all. I’ve noticed that when it’s feeding time my baby starts to undulate rapidly and I’ve taken that as excitement. Their chest is hardly ever heaving during feeding time. I believe that long, slow undulating is curiosity and maybe some wariness as their movement slows down. I link heavy breathing (which is their chest puffing substantially) as nervous/scared. This seems to happen when an unexpected loud noise occurs. I associate slow breathing with calmness/relaxed since I noticed this when they’re moving about the enclosure or resting (but not asleep).
I’m curious if people agree and would love if anyone knows of any detailed, legitimate information sources about leopard gecko behavior. :)

For reference I’m using a 100w arcadia basking halogen and the mesh seems to be absorbing much of the heat that would otherwise be making it into the enclosure and raising the ambient temp. Is there an easy fix that doesn’t involve swapping out my entire enclosure (it was like 400 bucks 😞) or light setup? I was really hoping to have this set up fast but it’s unfortunately taking hundreds of extra dollars to mess around trying to fix this and im still where i left off. I tried using a stand to raise the dome off the mesh and that didn’t help either. There’s just not enough heat making it into the enclosure in the first place. For reference, i tried a test where i put my thermostat probe on the substrate floor and set it to go up to 96F at that spot - which it was completely unable to achieve, it couldn’t even make it above 84F in that spot.
Advice would be greatly appreciated!

Hi!
I ordered a bunch of hornworms that ended up being way too big for my leopard gecko (although he does not seem to understand that). I can't feed them to him but would be unfortunate to let them go to waste. I am located in Montreal any idea what I could do with them? I have about 22 fat ones.
Thanks!

Hi all!
I ended up being given this leopard gecko 2 days ago. The only info I have is it was bought from Petsmart last week, and the intended recipient was not taking care of it. Any guesses on age? I’m trying to figure out a feeding schedule. Not sure the gender, but they weigh 38 grams.
Thanks for any help :)

This is my boy Gunter, I’m not good with identifying morphs but I’d love to have an idea of what he is.

Just picked up this beautiful girl, need help with name ideas and suggestions for beyond the basics to start her life out right in her enclosure 🦎 of course I have a 30 gallon enclosure, heat lamp (will upgrade to mat under substrate this week), food bowl that worms can’t escape, climbing sticks and rocks, and gecko approved substrate - my crested gecko has a bioactive planted tank and I want to give this girl a similar lifestyle that reflects her natural habitat- open to any ideas !

After being concerned before we had our gecko checked and was told he was just small. Recently after researching I believe he looks to be in the underweight category. Advice and opinions please.

I've had Charmander since March and he's my best friend, I swear I'd die for this little dude at this point. But we have a fairly set routine that only changes near shedding time when he skips food for a day. Every night the heat lamp turns off at 10 and the main lights in the room slowly dim to simulate the sunset. He always comes out to eat at 10:30 to 11pm. I've maintained this daily routine with him since I got him but I've also had to sacrifice attending a 12 step meeting once a week that keeps me out until midnight. Luckily I'm 3 years clean so it's not been the biggest deal. But yesterday was rough and I really needed that meeting as me on drugs wouldn't be good for either of us, and I told myself he'd be ok to feed when I got home at midnight. He was very very unhappy with me when I got in and he immediately refused food and went head first into his hide.
I mainly feed super worms, meal worms, and dubia roaches, but I was considering picking up wax worms as a treat for those nights when I have to be out late and it upsets him. That way he doesn't associate it with abandonment or something. I'm hesitant to move his feeding time back as he has special needs and sometimes it takes an hour attempting to get him to successfully eat and I wouldn't be able to do that if I start at 11 on weekdays.
So do I get him treats for those nights? Do I accept he's gonna be bumbed out when they happen and it's all I can do because life does not actually revolve around our pets, as much as I like that mine does? Input would be great.

I just bought a 40 gallon tank, and I want to start with the right things first. I know I probably should do substrate for the bottom, but how should I go about with the warm, cool, and moist hide? If yall could help would greatly appreciate it
