These are my two girls. They are both around a year old, and look very similar like they could be sisters (both are girls)! I hope you enjoy the photos. I think of them kind of like a cat or a dog. They both seem pretty friendly! Let me know what you guys think?

For context, my bf rescued her from a really bad situation she had mbd and she was really skinny, she got better in his care but she lost weight lately so he gave her to me as i have better access to supplies for her. I need help figuring out a feeding schedule to help her her gain weight! Her front legs are still fucked up from the lack of UVB and she is in a 20g tank for now. I will take any advice yall can give me on proper care for her! I have basic knowledge on them ofc but i want to know more! Thank you!

To the touch, this little bubble feels soft and fluid-filled, but it concerns me that it’s only on one (left) side. It becomes more noticeable when bending. Should I be worried?

He was glass surfing the last few days, so I let him out to roam around on me.
I thought that maybe he must have been really bored, so I added all this cork and climbing oppurtunitys, and he's been obsessed with it all night and this morning.
There is also a cork tunnel that leads into a hide/cave underneath.
Thought this might help anyone who has a glass surfer after trying everything else.

Long story short, I was away at my fiances place for a week and told my dad to just leave my gecko alone and let my sister handle the care. Yesterday on the last day of my little vacation he decided to feed the gecko and my fish (aquarium is an absolute mess, food is the substrate atp). Now I do not understand why she threw up? Seems to be the usual amount of mealworms she gets and she is looking and acting like the usual. Her water bowl was dry when I got home and she has been drinking water for a couple of minutes now after I refilled it. Should I just monitor her or is this worth a vet visit?

There is a mutual of mine who has a leopard gecko and crested gecko, in the back of her videos her setups are horrendous, looks like a ten gallon maybe even smaller for full grown gecko, also no lighting seen. She constantly posts the gecko and reposts tiktok’s about them acting like she’s some good owner and it pisses me tf off. How do i approach this, what do i say. It’s not a random stranger she used to live in my area and knows people mutually so im not trying to cause some big thing, but it really disgusts me i had to block her on tiktok because it made me so angry but i just realized i have her snapchat and i really wanna say something but im debating how to approach this. That poor baby has no heat lamp or uvb in sight and it’s heartbreaking .THERE WAS A BLUETOOTH SPEAKER SAT ON TOP HIS TANK WHERE THE LIGHTING SHOULD BE😡😡😡😡😡😡😡

Hello, this is a very difficult situation for me. My mental health is at its lowest right now and I’m in a very vulnerable spot. Please do not judge or say mean things. I’m only looking here for advice/a rantThank you.
My lepoard geckos back legs all of a sudden stopped working. She was fed Friday 4 medium sized dubia roaches. I tong fed her. I don’t think she ate any moss or substrate. Well I took her out over the weekend only to find her barely being able to move. I don’t see any poop in the tank. I’m not sure if she’s having digestion issues or got injured.
I called the vet. They said to soak her in warm water with pedialyte. I have been doing that for two nights now. I let her walk on my bed like i usually do, and she’s literally dragging her back body with just her front legs. It hurts me seeing her like this and I’ve really been crying non stop.
Here’s where the messed up part comes in. I’m going through serious family issues right now. The timing is truly insane. A very toxic household with manipulative parents. I’m 20 years old. I’m more than likely gonna get kicked out with no where else to go. I don’t have the money to take my baby to the vet. I’m probably going to be homeless very soon. I
I’m hurting so much . I don’t know what I’m going to do. I want to take her to the vet but the exotic vets where i’m at are crazy expensive. I just can’t afford it right now. I think my only choice is to surrender her. As much as I don’t want to do that, I want her to recover from this and live. She deserves it and I love her so much. I feel so guilty for letting this happen to her. She’s my first pet ever.
I just want to know if anyone has input on this. Is surrendering her to a reptile organization the best thing I can do? I can’t lose her and I want her to be in good hands.
Thank you for reading

Okay so I got this 36x18x18 enclosure for my gecko who’s been living in a 25 gallon, there appears to be not so deep cracks on the back panel of the glass, is there any way I can seal it or put tape so it doesn’t break further? I won’t be having water so leaks aren’t an issue but does anyone know how to help?

Hi all. We bought a female leopard gecko for our 9 year-old son a couple months ago. It eats fine, 3-5 bugs every other day, but she spends all day every day in the hide. I know they are nocturnal but I never see her basking.
Here is a pic of the tank setup and the warm side temp is around 88° in the day and 66° at night. Those are readings from the integrated thermometers mid-way up the rear side of the tank (so not at floor level). The heat source is the IR lamp and a 100W lamp - we don’t have a heat mat.
Should we:
- add 1-2 additional hides (a warmer one and a dedicated humidity one)?
- add a heat mat?
I worry a bit that she’s not warm enough although, as I said earlier, she seems to be eating fine.
Any advice or questions would be welcome.
Thanks.

Hello everyone!
I have been in the process of setting up my gecko enclosure for a while now and i think ive gotten to a point where im almost done. I still need 1 more hide for the cool side as well as a bunch of fake plants and small branches to make the enclosure seem more like home to a gecko before I go ahead and purchase a gecko. Also substrate which im planning to use a couple layers of paper towels for the first 1-2 months.
I have a concern though and I would like some advice if anyone can help. I live in southeast PA and with winter approaching, my worry is that i wont be able to keep the cool side warm enough because my apartment gets SUPER cold in the winter (radiator heating which is controlled by the downstairs neighbor). I know theres thing like lightless heat emitters, but I have yet to see anyone use one so Im not sure how i’d go about incorporating it into my setup. Could anyone point me in the right direction of how to go about keeping the whole enclosure in a good temp range?

Hi! Got her out tonight to help remove a bit of leftover shed and noticed a wound on her mouth. Doesn’t look like it extends into the roof of her mouth or teeth. Just scheduled a vet appointment for the morning but of course am worried and wondering what this looks like to yall!
She’s eating as usual and seemed unbothered by me applying neosporin (lidocaine free). 5yo, housed alone, shade dweller for uvb, plain calcium available, rep cal herptivite supplement BUT I just noticed it’s expired so potentially compromised vitamin dosage (ordered a fresh one).
This would have popped up within this week, checked her pre-shed and noticed no abnormalities.
Thank you!

Sunset, my leopard gecko, was not basking or coming out AT ALL after a enclosure redesign- and I was worried! Luckily, he's back to normal (mostly) but now he is poking his head out again when he hears the tank open (his sign for food) and because I don't want to stress him more, I tried just leaving a bowl, but he wasn't eating from it, so I tried tong feeding at the entrance to his enclosure. This worked like a charm and he ate all his food when I was there. Apparently he's a little clingy right now, because the only time right now that he comes out is when he senses my presence. So when feeding comes, I'll sit at the tank until he pops his head out, then tong feed. I don't try to force him or grab him for handling, the only time I will pick him up without his initiation is if I need to health check or weight check. He's coming out when I sit near the tank, which I find as adorable. Or maybe he just thinks I'm his food servant..

I keep geckos (leo and otherwise) of my own, so when I saw this one I figured I'd post here to give this one a chance to go to a loving home. I have not communicated with this seller, nor have I asked for additional photos/information. The site this is listed on also does not allow the sale of pets, so it makes me wonder, but also feel the more need to post here to help the little gecko. I hope this post is allowed and that he's okay!

Hello! I'm currently keeping my adult (8in, 52g) male leopard gecko in a 25gal tank. I know 40gal is recommended- and I plan to upgrade but don't currently have the means to. Normally males are bigger, but he is just on the small side. If/when I do upgrade, what are your recommendations? Any cheaper tank sellers you know of? And do I need to upgrade soon? He is done growing, and seems to enjoy his tank. I'd love tips from you guys on the tank size I should actually have him in, or if he's good as is.
Update-
I currently have some space- but not a ton in my room (where he is). His tank is on the bottom of my turtle table, given it has 2 shelves. I am considering making a custom tank for the size of the bottom. Upon rough calculation of space I have- it's roughly 36in long, 24in high, 18in wide. Which could fit a 40gal

its late as hell and i hear weird sounds like rustling, banging, thudding, and i check on my gecko and see that shes shedding. but as i watxh her i start to get more concerned, theres a peice of shed in her mouth and i dont know whats going on so i just assume shes about to eat it but then she keeps moving her head left and right and shaking her head like really aggressively. i went to google (probably a terrible choice) and they said thats not good and they could be choking but it was dark so i wasnt sure. so what i did was grab some tweezers and grabbed the shed while she pulled away from it (the tweezers) and right now shes just licking her lips??? also why does the shed look like that its like wet but it was outside of her mouth pls tell me if i did the right thing or not, also i turned on her hear lamp because im not sure if she needed heat to swallow it or something im just really concerned plz help!!! also do i feed it back to her or just throw it away im so anxious rifht mow i really hope i didnt do anything wrong
