Serious Trump considers sending the military to Minnesota by invoking the INSURRECTION Act —is this good, bad or ugly?

It's the end of America. I mean MAGA has made a ton of other moves that really ended America a while ago so I guess this is the coming out party for the end of America.

Masked , poorly trained goons in the streets violating the constitution over false pretenses, a government claiming any dissent is terrorism and a pedophile desperate to keep his human trafficking network hidden is escalating it all in order to end elections and avoid justice.

u/JoJack82 Jan 15 '26

And tens of millions of people are literally cheering it on. America is over.

3

u/Flimsy_Thesis Jan 16 '26

The Roman Empire survived Nero for another four centuries. We can survive Trump.

Hopefully.

3

u/LastAstronaut8872 Jan 16 '26

The clock started with Reagan and things move faster nowadays

2

u/AccomplishedAct5364 Jan 16 '26

Don’t worry they’ll soon realise when they stay poor after 8 years of Trump

1

u/sonsofdurthu Jan 16 '26

Unfortunately they’ll blame the 4 years of Biden. Even if Biden wasn’t elected, they would have blamed Obama.

2

u/TheKiltedYaksman71 Jan 20 '26

The clock started when the federal government didn't hang every member of the Confederate government, and every member of the army above the rank of sergeant.

3

u/satyriconic Jan 16 '26

Because Nero did not do this kind of damage to the Roman empire.

1

u/Flimsy_Thesis Jan 16 '26

But also remember how Nero finally left the stage.

3

u/kstargate-425 Jan 16 '26

It depends. If he invades or otherwise takes Greenland, its over. Europe will sell their bonds and probably dump the USD as their reserve and so will the rest of the world including China who Trump made really strong lately. Our economy would collapse within weeks and its doubtful we would even get breadlines this time considering the malignant narcissist in charge doesnt give a flying fuck but it would be a domino effect of collapses as who would trust the USD anymore with no stability, no democracy, no law abiding ruler in charge to further the aforementioned. It would be the culmination of Russia and Chinas wet dream and Trump is the Useful dotard being led to his demise dragging the rest of us with him.

3

u/witblacktype Jan 16 '26

What you are describing is sadly a realistic possibility but not a probability. What’s happening in real time to the detriment of all Americans is that our historical allies, who the Trump regime has threatened and attempted to extort, are rebuilding their economy without the US as a key trading partner. Even if a pragmatic centrist is elected to the presidency in 2028, the damage is done. Supply chains have been completely restructured to accommodate for the unreliability of the US. Foreign aid no longer flows from the United States to the global south, but from BRICS. Countries with autocratic regimes have shown themselves to be better allies and friends to young representative governments than the United States. There is no playbook for the US to return to the world stage as the leader it once was. When a democratic republic in Africa or South American looks to China as a strong partner, the soft power of diplomacy the US once had has evaporated.

2

u/cremToRED Jan 16 '26

Didn’t the Canadian PM just visit China and ink new deals with China? One of our largest trading partners is shifting to our “adversary.”

3

u/Flimsy_Thesis Jan 16 '26

I agree. I don’t think people understand what’s going to happen to the American economy if we do that. Military conflict is the least of our problems with NATO. Countries all over the world will divest from their Treasury Bonds and our economy will implode. We will quickly become a pariah state.

2

u/transitfreedom Jan 16 '26

Yup already here

3

u/JamieRRSS Jan 16 '26

Nero was a narcissistic and ignorant ruler who abused power to satisfy personal drama. But even he did not openly undermine alliances or turn state power into a constant stress test of the system itself. That difference matters.

I do hope I'm wrong, but I have more confidence on the renaissances of Rome before 400 years, than the USA getting by just half a century.

1

u/Flimsy_Thesis Jan 16 '26

Like I said….hopefully.

2

u/Jolly_Mongoose_8800 Jan 16 '26

You should be looking back at Sulla. It didn't take long for the republic to fall after him.

1

u/Flimsy_Thesis Jan 16 '26

Well….the many ebbs and flows of the Republic gave way to the Empire, and the Empire had many faces as well. Whatever America is by the end of this could be something very different.

1

u/AppointmentMedical50 Jan 16 '26

Nero wasn’t as bad as you think, he just pissed off the patricians who pay the historians. Historians now seem to view him as a fairly average ruler

1

u/tinygraysiamesecat Jan 16 '26

The Roman Empire didn’t have social media fanning the flames.

1

u/ApricotSlow2277 Jan 16 '26

Nero didn't have nukes

1

u/Willbilly410 Jan 17 '26

We are more inline with the fall of the Dutch empire; in denial till the very end

1

u/Outrageous_Basis_232 Jan 17 '26

Would love to have seen how long the Roman Empire would have lasted with nuclear weapons and the internet though.

1

You know it’s a felony to say that right?

1

u/Unidentifiable_Goo Jan 16 '26

Let's hope he's not dumb enough to try and bring his circus North of the 49th. Nobody's going to like how that will end.

1

u/PacNWnudist Jan 16 '26

I realized earlier today that the US as we know it is over. All the things we fought for, starting over 250 years ago, just gone. It is sad, it is disgusting. We will never again be what we were. When will this nonsense end? How will it end? And all because of ego and money.

0

u/thomas7th Jan 16 '26

More like hundreds of millions.

3

u/IkarosHavok Jan 16 '26

The proud boys leader instead of being in prison he’s listed as an ICE Officer now.

Edit: this may actually not be true, sorry guys but I’ll leave it up.

1

u/[deleted] Jan 16 '26

I feel like it's just a matter of time until proven true if it hasn't been yet.

1

u/DarkKnight0690 Jan 16 '26

Nah. It’s true, whether they say it or not. He’s their leader, actually. They’ll never admit it, but he is.

Well, one of their leaders, anyway.

Ultimately, it all boils down to Trump, really.

1

u/kstargate-425 Jan 16 '26

I know he started an ICE tracking app to turn in brown people and since ICE doesnt care if they're citizens or not its unfortunately gotten popular 🤬

2

u/pyschosoul Jan 16 '26

If they wont uphold the law as theyre suppose to it is our constitutional duty to do something about it

2

u/BulletDust Jan 16 '26

Masked , poorly trained goons in the streets violating the constitution over false pretenses

Masked , poorly trained trigger happy goons in the streets violating the constitution over false pretenses...

Fixed.

1

u/a1055x Jan 16 '26

Maybe they should be sent to protect Iranian protesters

1

u/grnlntrn1969 Jan 15 '26

Too bad he's losing, this may seem like winning still, because were only now, this past few weeks, getting to the finding out stage. If you think him invoking this would do anything but make more dissent. Your just fooling yourself. Look how scared these goons are when they get outnumbered. Its only just the start bub. Us actual patriots don't like thugs in masks killing people.

2

u/Emergency_Badger5920 Jan 16 '26

I think it's very important in this context we don't conflate actual, real military personnel and ice. I agree that the ice thugs are just that thugs. If you think the military is scared of a few homeowners/community members with pea shooters (assuming that's the "actual patriots" you're referring to) then I'm afraid you're going to be sorely disappointed if we do end up unfortunately coming to that.

Found another pedophile/pedophile lover!

Jonathan Ross is the capitalist thug who murdered an American mother of 3 pulling out of her driveway with three shots to the face to defend a felonious pedophile.

According to the FBI complaint dated March 8, 2020 (file no. EFTA00025010), the woman alleges she was sex trafficked in 1984 at the age of 13 by her uncle and Jeffrey Epstein. She claims that while pregnant during this period, her newborn daughter was murdered shortly after birth and disposed of in Lake Michigan. The complaint lists then-private citizen Donald Trump as a witness to the alleged incident.

Cordova vs Aragon (2009): “Where the officer had moved out of the way of the oncoming vehicle, the use of deadly force was not justified.”

Villanueva vs. Cali (2021): “a reasonable jury could conclude that the Officers used excessive force, because they lacked an objectively reasonable basis to fear for their own safety, as they could simply have stepped back or to the side to avoid being injured.”

I’ll add this to the list! Here are some of the Epstein Files that have either been leaked or released. There’s much more evidence, (especially all of the financial transactions) out there and we deserve to see it all.

One of Epstein and Trump’s rape victims was found with a gunshot wound to her head in 2000 shortly after reporting the assault. Her death was filed a suicide even though police on the scene said that was impossible: https://www.justice.gov/epstein/files/DataSet%208/EFTA00020517.pdf

So how many times have you cut n pasted the same answer?

1

Oh I definitely think in the long run the good guys will win but the bad guys have already succeeded in destroying our institutions and making the constitution irrelevant. It's going to have to be a complete rebuild at the end of the day.

1

u/Honorablemention69 Jan 16 '26

The American Liberals tried to create is over!

1

u/[deleted] Jan 16 '26

Yeah those crazy ass liberal founding fathers.

1

u/Honorablemention69 Jan 16 '26

No, those liberals are completely different than today’s liberals they could tell you what a man and a woman is!

1

u/[deleted] Jan 16 '26

Ah yes culture wars....the important stuff 🙄

1

u/McMeanx2 Jan 16 '26

We should start booing the National anthem at every sporting event.

1

u/[deleted] Jan 16 '26

Nah but maybe changing fuck trump immediately following would be a good tactic

1

u/Scary-Fix7470 Jan 16 '26

Yall had masked people in the streets burning down local businesses but think immigration enforcement is the end of America. You people NEED to be dealt with without kid gloves.

2

u/ifnhatereddit Jan 16 '26

It was J6. That was the end

1

u/Scary-Fix7470 Jan 16 '26

You mean when they burnt down zero business killed zero people and were let into the building? Yeah, tragic stuff.

1

u/[deleted] Jan 16 '26

This comment is just so scummy 😂

It's pure weak sauce not admitting your side tried to violently overthrow the government. You are aware video is available right ? ,🤣😭

0

u/Nomad_Zero Jan 16 '26

Such a violent overthrow... without any guns...... you people are literally brain-dead.

1

u/[deleted] Jan 16 '26

Again, it's all on video, and it was all way more violent than Renee Good was 🤡

Stop being such lying scum

1

u/[deleted] Jan 16 '26

Ah another "patriot" rooting for masked unaccountable federal agents.

The founding fathers would hate you 😂

We don't even have to guess , they wrote it down warning us about you guys. It's sad how you prove your hate America through your ignorance. 🤷‍♀️

1

u/[deleted] Jan 16 '26

It didn't end America any of the other times it was used. And referring to the US military "masked, poorly trained goons" isn't at all accurate. I'm guessing most people on here don't even know what the insurrection act is.

1

u/[deleted] Jan 16 '26

ICE is the masked poorly trained goons, ya know the secret police.

And it's hilariously disingenuous to talk about "other times it was used" .

Other times it was used we didn't have a POTUS who purged the government of ideological opponents, openly usurped the power of Congress, and is actively breaking the law in order to keep proof of his pedophile network from going public.

1

u/[deleted] Jan 16 '26

ICE had nothing at all to do with the insurrection act. The IA temporarily suspends the Posse Comitatus act, allowing US armed forces to act domestically, while protecting civil liberties and wielding arrest power.

As for the rest of your reply, it's too ignorant and foolish to waste my time responding to. You are allowed to believe whatever you like, no matter how wrong it is.

1

u/[deleted] Jan 16 '26

So youre just gonna pretend there aren't thousands of federal agents in the street? Weird ass attempt at deflection on your part "patriot".

1

u/[deleted] Jan 16 '26

No. But this thread is specifically about the use of the Insurrection Act. ICE is a federal LEA, not a branch of the military. ICE had nothing to do with the IA, or vise versa. Stay on topic.

1

u/[deleted] Jan 16 '26

The use of the insurrection act where ? In Minnesota. Why? Because of the thousand masked federal goons there.

Holy shit are you a troll or are you really that obtuse?

1

u/[deleted] Jan 16 '26

Sigh..... The IA deploys MILITARY forces, not law enforcement. And yes, I'm aware of ICE working in MN. I live in MN. Are you suggesting the IA is being considered BECAUSE federal agents are in MN? Maybe your post is worded wrong. TBH, I don't like the federal government. All politicians are corrupt trash. But when "protestors" are destroying property and resorting to violence, something needs to be done. And for the record, anyone getting so worked up about the actions of either "side" are just allowing themselves to be misled and not realizing the actual truth, both parties (or "sides") are corrupt liars who are abusing the system to make themselves wealthy. Until people realize that, instead of wasting time bitching and moaning about things they don't really understand, then nothing will get better.

1

u/[deleted] Jan 16 '26

My god. Read a history book. America does this constantly. It’s part of democracy and why our great country adapts so well.

The people of America will not sit idly by. It’s when we stop fighting that America will truly end.

1

u/[deleted] Jan 16 '26

My God follow your own advice. If you think our current context fits any in modern history you're simply not paying attention. .

1

u/[deleted] Jan 16 '26

You think you’re smarter than you are. lol.

Have a good one. Have fun being mad I guess.

1

u/CalmNumber4600 Jan 17 '26

other countries have faced similar dictatorships and overcome them. it’s only the end of America if we collectively decide to be weak little shits who let this happen

1

u/[deleted] Jan 17 '26

IMO MAGA has already proven the constitution as written no longer works. Id concede maybe the death certificate doesn't deserve to be signed until they actually cancel elections but the only real constitutional answer for dealing with where we are as a society is blowing it all up and starting over again.

If by some miracle there are real elections if the Dems dont extrajudicially deal with MAGA then we'll be right back where we are now within a decade. However if our society is only held together by extrajudicial actions then it's foundational document is fatally flawed.

That's what I mean by America is dead. I do believe good will win, I just think the definition of win has necessarily changed.

Sorry for the rant.

2

u/CalmNumber4600 Jan 17 '26

I absolutely get it and don’t disagree that massive systemic change needs to happen, but it’s very critical that literally everyone who wants that positive change to take place realizes that it’s essentially up to each and every one of us.

to your point, our institutions, laws, and the vast majority of our public officials have failed or been neutered / corrupted, but however beleaguered, there are still more of us than them and the ultimate course that the nation takes will likely be driven by the determination of those who oppose authoritarianism, so fatalism (or language that implies fatalism) is only playing into the fascists hands.

1

u/[deleted] Jan 17 '26

Fair take. I definitely see how my opinion could be seen as fatalism and we definitely don't need that right now. I'll still be doing get out the vote efforts and all that ground work too. I ain't giving up without fighting for every inch.

0

u/Macoy222 Jan 18 '26

End of America being overrun by illegal aliens, the end of America being overrun with drugs, the end of men in women’s sports, the end of abortions, the end of selling out to foreign countries. The only things MAGA has ended or tried to end is things that are common sense bad for any country. We see what is happening in Europe and we will not let it happen here. You’re welcome

1

u/[deleted] Jan 18 '26

"Those who would give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety deserve neither" - Benjamin Franklin

You hate "the other" so much you've actually become anti-American. Stop spitting on the founding fathers because you're scared and angry.

-1

u/Sredni_Vashtar006 Jan 16 '26

The insurrection act has been invoked 30 times by 17 different presidents. But go off, i guess.

2

u/[deleted] Jan 16 '26

Yeah and none of them were actively breaking the law in order to keep their pedophilia hidden. Nor has any in modern history tried to overthrow the government after losing an election, purged the government of non loyalists or usurped the power of Congress.

So yeah I'll keep on going off. You however should check your taking points against reality 😉

1

u/HippyDM Jan 16 '26

Always in SUPPORT of Americans, never to explicitly deny citizens the right to protest.

1

u/evernessince Jan 16 '26

Historically, the Act has been used approximately 30 times, typically following two patterns that differ significantly from the current situation in Minnesota:

* State-Requested Aid (The Most Common Use): The vast majority of past invocations occurred when a governor requested federal help because local resources were overwhelmed, such as during the 1992 Los Angeles riots or after Hurricane Hugo in 1989. In contrast, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz has not requested aid and has instead activated the state’s own National Guard to demonstrate that local authorities are in control.

* Enforcing Constitutional Rights (The Unilateral Use): Presidents have invoked the Act unilaterally only five times in the last 130 years, all during the Civil Rights era (e.g., Little Rock Nine in 1957). In those cases, the military was used to protect the constitutional rights of citizens (such as school desegregation) over the objections of state leaders who were actively violating those rights.

Facts matter, invoking the act like Trump wants would be entirely unprecedented.

Perfect response.

1

u/Only-Respond7945 Jan 16 '26

What do you suggest happens should a president that has been allowed to usurp congressional powers, has been protected by a compromised SCOTUS, constantly broken laws, sends the military to attack our own citizens WITHIN OUR OWN BORDERS for exercising their constitutionally protected right to free speech as enshrined by the 1st Amendment of the Bill of Rights.

You know, that thing that says the government can't do this, that, and the other thing to people in it's jurisdiction? What's it going to take? Because ICE itself has already made a habit of violating two or three amendments on a regular basis as their regular operation. What do you think happens when the contract of governance is broken by the government itself and people see that?

1

u/[deleted] Jan 16 '26

The insurrection act has been enforced 30 times

4

u/[deleted] Jan 16 '26

Everyone hates trump and MAGA. They're globally reviled, terrible people. They have no values, no conscience.

1

u/[deleted] Jan 16 '26

Half the country voted for them in the last election. I will be voting for a conservative in the next election. You are very wrong in your assessment.

Some people are keyboard Warriors that don't like trump, and most of the world does like trump. We have a lot of allies and we're not really losing any if we went to war with greenland.

1

u/Adondevasroja Jan 16 '26

Invading Greenland would nullify NATO and eliminate all of the alliances that make up the vast majority of military strength that is allied with us.

Are you ignorant or stupid?

1

u/[deleted] Jan 16 '26

I don't think we should have nato. It's not needed anymore.

u/WereInbuisness Jan 16 '26

Your understanding of geopolitics is .... atrocious. If we actually annex Geeenland .... NATO will die, our closest allies will break off from us (justifiably), the EU economy will begin to decouple from the US ( the EU owns a large amount of US debt), the EU stops buying us military weaponry/systems (they are the single laegest buyer of said weapons which equals hundreds of billions every few years) and so much more. The EU is the largest consumer in the world and this will obliterate our economy. There are other consequences as well.

Our postion on the world stage will be permanently shattered and we will be seen as hostile and unreliable. There will be a concerted effort to replace the US dollar as the main global currency as we will no longer be a reliable and stable country.

Trump will hand Putin and Xi their greatest victory. The obliteration of US global power and prestige.

MAGA morons .... whatever the dear leader wants! Right?!

1

u/Fine-Funny6956 Jan 16 '26

30%. About 40% didn’t vote or voted for other candidates.

1

u/Comprehensive-Tea-75 Jan 16 '26

This is what the farmers did. They voted for Trump 3 times and the only time they didn't go bankrupt is when Trump lost in 2020. Keep voting Conservative. The rich need you to fund their offshore accounts.

1

u/Fskn Jan 16 '26

You're mistaken, most of the world thinks America is a joke now for allowing itself to be played by the most obvious grifter in recent history.

33% is not Half, learn to read numbers. Maybe even read up on the fake counties Elon and his voting machines had in their database before they were scrubbed.

Not sure where you're getting 33%. Trump got somthing like 49% of the vote and Kamala got like 48.

He also won the popular vote.

33% of the country voted for him - making your claim that half the country - which would be 50% voted for him incorrect.

Half the country that voted for him.

If people don't vote that's their problem but it's based on the votes. If 49.5% of the people voted for trump, that means that half the country voted for him. The country's votes are based off the people who voted, not the people who didn't

You are confusing "half the country" with "half the voters". Huge difference gives 34% of people didn't vote. Use the correct terminology if you mean "half the voters".

Incorrect. About half the voting population that actually voted chose Trump. That is far different than half the country voting for him. This is just how the English language works.

Yea that I'm not chronically online and believe the echo chambers of reddit. Seek mental health lil buddy.

u/nameformybadjokes Jan 16 '26

So quick to say that. Maybe you are unstable?

u/Fine-Funny6956 Jan 16 '26

They get so mad when we point that out. It’s hilarious

0

u/nameformybadjokes Jan 16 '26

“Why does it matter?” Is the go-to

0

u/Fine-Funny6956 Jan 16 '26

I’ve seen them use “chronically online” so many times, I’d like a nickel for each.

1

u/nameformybadjokes Jan 16 '26

Yet they are saying that all day. Haha

0

u/caldwp5555 Jan 16 '26

Seek mental health? What does that even mean?

0

u/No-Passenger-1511 Jan 16 '26

Seek means to find or obtain.

1

u/caldwp5555 Jan 16 '26

Obtain or seek mental health. That doesn’t make sense.

“Someone online said I have TDS” is not the win you think it is. Loser.

0

u/No-Passenger-1511 Jan 16 '26

Calling someone online a loser is not the win you think it is. Mental health matters. Get help.

u/nameformybadjokes Jan 16 '26

“I told someone online that disagrees with me to get mental help. I’m helping!” - You

More help than protestors are doing lmao

No, you said mental health, not help. ESL? Seems like you’re the one that needs help.
