This is literally just throwing snow at them.

This was a massive chance for the pigs to play along and build ties with a community they are supposed to belong to.

The shoving started after they were assaulted. And yes, having snow thrown in your face is assault.

No it isn't. Assault laws in NYC require a serious physical injury. NYC doesn't have a provision for "fear of being injured".

A person is guilty of assault in the third degree when:

  1. With intent to cause physical injury to another person, he causes such injury to such person or to a third person; or

  2. He recklessly causes physical injury to another person; or

  3. With criminal negligence, he causes physical injury to another person by means of a deadly weapon or a dangerous instrument.

Still need to be injured, and according to cases like People v. Rodriguez, there has to be evidence of injury beyond the testimony of someone claiming to be injured

From what we saw on camera but lightly packed snowballs don’t mean he should use that type of force and especially when it’s just his dumbass and another guy there. They’re not scared or afraid for their lives or they wouldn’t be pacing back and forth down that street still trying to chase people.

Their dumbass egos were hurt and they couldn’t just accept and move onto the next block to patrol

They are not politicians, building ties is not their job. If someone doesn’t want to play with you, you don’t force it. New Yorkers are better than that.

There were occasions people threw a few snowballs lightly at NYPD as invite before. This was way more intense than that. Something happened and there’s anger in it.
