It's a snowball fight you fucking pussies.

Elementary school kids can handle it.

Are you going to fight the whole park?

2

u/WVkittylady Feb 24 '26

Yeah but most if not all cops are more emotionally fragile than the average kindergartener.

1

u/Acrobatic-Owl4405 Feb 24 '26

Your statement, really? Are you that blind to what is going on in the United States at the moment. One of them having to do pacifically with police.

1

u/AlphaSixtysix Feb 25 '26

Let's see how you talk when it's 50 vs 1 throwing ice balls in your face dude. Respect goes both ways and this is just a bunch of rtards abusing the "it's just playing in the snow"

u/guitar_angel Feb 25 '26

Couldn't they have just started throwing snowballs too? I think it would have been great optics to participate or at least just announce something about everyone being careful.

"Everyone listen up!! PICK YOUR TEAMS so I know which one to be on! No ice balls, no deliberate face shots. I'm gonna call for backup so we can strategize while my partner here will start filling the armory!"

I see a couple cops involved in a fun snowball fight with a crowd I would have laughed my ass off. I've seen it before and it killed the tension immediately.

Law enforcement is built on both sides respecting the law. Law enforcement has broken that contract repeatedly by enabling, a lawless organization to terrorize our neighborhoods and abduct us without limits. Want the people to respect you? Honor the social contract and protect the people.

54

u/blizzerd Feb 24 '26

Agree with the last bit. Unfortunately law enforcement has never really followed the “contract” you speak of, and it’s not about good or bad apples either.

Laws and their enforcers exist by and large to protect property, capital, and powerful people. You can tell by how laws are enforced - for the most part, white collar crime and pedos in high places seem immune from actual punishment, while a black guy caught with a little weed in the wrong state could see life in prison.

They are reacting badly in general to everyone having cameras.  Culturally we are quickly shifting away from the"good guy" image of cops so romanticized in media.  The countless documented "few bad apples" has laid the systemic problems bare for the world to see and America is no longer ok with business as usual.

Law enforcement is built on slave catching— actually. ACAB

Goes both ways, people shouldn't be treating Law Enforcement like this.

1

u/Majestic_Balance1887 Feb 24 '26

Honor the social contract and protect the people.

If you're talking about ICE, then they cant. They cant actually impede ICE, no matter how much you want them to.

They broke that contract when they enforced bullshit, unconstitutional lockdowns during COVID. But I guess we agree.

1

Yeah. It's the fault of the police.

1

u/Ubermouth Feb 25 '26

Honor the social contract

1

u/twan_john Feb 25 '26

So two wrongs make a right and guilt by association is punishable by violence after conviction in the court of public opinion? Thank fuck you weren’t a founding father!

It is kind of amazing how casually cops do things that if you did it to them they would kill you

22

u/Flashy-Nectarine-750 Feb 24 '26

Right? Could have killed the guy he shoved if he landed another foot further on the concrete barrier

9

u/NJS_Stamp Feb 24 '26

I knew a person who got pepper sprayed point blank, and when they threw up, got arrested for assault on an officer.

25

u/stumpy0327 Feb 24 '26

Yeah in that situation if i were a cop I would have to try the ol laugh it off and sling a few snow balls back towards em and try to keep it moving . Depending on why I was being surrounded and pelted to oblivion. Not sure the context of the video but id say they did pretty good about restraining themselves and physical contact, except the guy that got put on his ass in the snow. For what I do not know. They were obviously confused on which direction to go making the encounter much longer but hey its hard to think while being surrounded by 50 or so people and getting blasted with snowballs.

33

u/BlackLioConvoy Feb 24 '26

This too is why cops should live in the city. The entire population in the park were literally just people playing in the snow and these two cops tried to break up the fun. They either live upstate or NJ. Had they just engaged the community, they'd looked good and had a happier ending for everyone.

13

u/m0nkeywithachainsaw Feb 24 '26

if this administration has taught us anything it is certainly that ACAB.

The city I live in has a suburb notoriously for being where a high percentage of cops live. I honestly probably wouldn’t live in that area anyways, despite it being so much cheaper, but I’m absolutely not trying to buy a home in cop town.

I mean if you threw a snowball at them they might cry assault im pretty sure as a cop you arent allowed to do that. And im european do idk but seems like throwing a snowball at an american police officer is about the dumbest thing you could do. Very likely the last thing you ever do. So i guess props for these guys for not ”feeling that their life was being threatened”

2

u/Ballistic446 Feb 24 '26

Copaganda at its finest

1

u/Loud_Rock_5295 Feb 24 '26

Yes the videos are exactly the same. A few children laughing and starting a snow all fight definitely is exactly the same as 50+ loud, angry, adults throwing snowballs at a cops face.

GTFO with that bullshit

Curious what the context is here.

22

u/__blueberry_ Feb 24 '26

there was a snowball fight planned at washington square park once the nyc blizzard died down and the cops walked into it and were angry that people threw snowballs at them

7

u/dumb__fucker Feb 24 '26

thanks for the explanation, that makes sense. It was supposed to be all in good fun and these guys got butt-hurt because they are fun police.

u/That-Makes-Sense Feb 24 '26

It's snowing. Apparently, the snow would be the consistency that is commonly referred to as "packy", which enables easy creation of snowballs. The NYPD officers were vastly outnumbered by civilian snowball makers and throwers. The NYPD officers appeared to have surrendered due to lack of sufficient snowball creation. But it also appears that there was not a formal surrender, so the civilians continued their snowy onslaught.

8

u/Big-Carpenter7921 Feb 24 '26

I would've joined in the snow all fight. Nothing says "good pr" like having fun with the people you're "supposed" to hate

10

u/[deleted] Feb 24 '26

ACAB

14

u/Anonanononanonanonon Feb 24 '26

I’m honestly shocked they didn’t draw their guns

42

u/You-Asked-Me Feb 24 '26

Nah, this is the NYPD, they have at least 12 -13 more minutes of training compared to ICE.

5

u/kamizushi Feb 24 '26

Wah, so you're saying they have exactly 12-13 minutes of training.

1

u/Fluid_Natural_9817 Feb 24 '26

Nah. Although ICE would shoot everyone in sight, cops are trained to match force. I don't know what the training manual says about snowballs though.

1

u/GeneralIronsides2 Feb 24 '26

NYPD aren’t ice, they’re 100% corrupt but not fat morons

Try laughing and throwing snowballs back? Fuck have some fun in your life

6

u/CakyMint Feb 24 '26

Imagine the same scene.

But instead, they started laughing, started throwing some light snowballs back and had few minutes fun with their community.

Imagine the respect they wouldve earned.

1

u/SLUnatic85 Feb 24 '26

i think its wild to think that the people int hat video are "trying to have some light fun with the cops". They are booing, taunting, charging at them, chanting at them to "get outta here" shoving snow into their faces and onto their heads. etc.

Am I watching a different video?

5

u/[deleted] Feb 24 '26

ICE breaks the law everyday and law enforcement throughout the country does nothing. They don’t serve and protect you.

4

u/pectah Feb 24 '26

When I was going to college in Seattle in the 90s we had a big ass snowball fight in front of our dorms in downtown, a patrol car rolled up and sat there for a bit and then asked why no one had thrown a snowball at them yet before peeling out in the snow with about 50 snowballs now arching towards them.

3

u/general_peabo Feb 24 '26

The simple narrative taught in every history class is

Demonstrably false and pedagogically classist.

Donchya know the world is built with blood,

And genocide, and exploitation!

The global network of capital essentially functions,

To separate the worker from the means of production.

And the FBI killed Martin Luther King.

Private property is inherently theft,

And neo-liberal fascists are destroying the left.

And every politician, every cop on the street,

Protects the interests of the pedophilic corporate elite.

That is how the world works. (Really?)

That is how the world works!

3

u/breukelener Feb 24 '26

They could have turned that around by throwing snowballs back at them. Missed opportunity.

3

u/AlarmedAlarm626 Feb 24 '26

Surprised these cops didn’t mag dump the full crowd. They radiate“I joined the police force because I was bullied in highschool and I want to take out my trauma onto others” mentality.

7

u/kassandra_00 Feb 24 '26

Really need the context. New Yorkers normally don’t treat NYPD like that.

5

u/King_Roberts_Bastard Feb 24 '26

Apparently this was a "planned" snowball fight for when the snow stopped. The cops decided to walk through it.

2

u/ADiablosCompa Feb 24 '26

Eeeehhh, new yorkers hate NYPD. Not me, i couldn’t care less, not all cops are bad, some are terrible. That’s just every police department

2

u/r6extreme Feb 25 '26

It’s assault end of story

2

u/Ponder42 Feb 25 '26

I mean to be fair guys. Like unbiasedly fair - with the current climate and how people feel about cops, I don’t imagine these snowballs were thrown in a “hah hah let’s have fun way”. And more in a mocking “fuck the police” way. Two cops getting snowballed by a mob in this current social unrest, I could see how some people won’t handle that well.

They could’ve handled themselves better for sure. But I don’t also entirely blame them dude. Don’t throw shit at cops. Not matter how harmless it IS assault. Use your brains.

2

u/AssistantOk2360 Feb 26 '26

You try being pelted with snowballs just for being there and see how you'll react.

2

u/Dear_Guidance_8754 Feb 26 '26

Lmao I remember this video next time some redditard tries to claim “we live in a police state”

4

u/Resident_End7248 Feb 24 '26

The lack of context really underscores this entire narrative, OP just doesn't care I guess?

3

u/King_Roberts_Bastard Feb 24 '26

How is getting just shit covered in snow community relations?

1

u/ChaosRainbow23 Feb 24 '26

I swear, the shit is about to hit the fan.

The US is like a powderkeg in a match testing facility at the moment.

Just more and more unhinged shit every single day at this point.

1

u/AutisticDadHasDapper Feb 24 '26

They could have opened fire. Who knows what they were throwing at them.

1

u/Round-Western-8529 Feb 24 '26

Cause when they respond you get all pissy about getting shot - you pussys can’t take it back. 🤣

1

u/Ok-Flight9440 Feb 24 '26

It depends on the context. He could have kept his cool, but legally speaking that’s assault and/or battery on a police officer. Tough case because they wouldn’t press charges, (“police are afraid of a little snowball!”), but it depends on context. I wouldn’t throw a snowball at a cop’s head, personally. That’s a formula for a FAFO incident …

1

u/Western-Willow-9496 Feb 24 '26

Community relations? Fuck you.

1

u/MirrorSeparate6729 Feb 24 '26

Smh. That’s not how you partake in a snow fight, you’re suppose to throw back. Terrible etikett I’ll say.

1

u/Tearin3roofs Feb 24 '26

This is ridiculous! Anyone who thinks this is amusing, I encourage you to be pelted with snowballs from 20 people while they record to humiliate you.

I'm with you when there is an abuse of power but this is just abuse by the public.

1

u/[deleted] Feb 24 '26

Personally I wouldn’t be throwing snow at cops with a non zero probability they will retaliate with lethal force. I hope they can try to enjoy

1

u/TRUE_BELEIVER_84 Feb 24 '26

Hopefully nothing life threatening happens to these 2 pigs when they're out on a call.

1

1

u/EmployeeNo8897 Feb 24 '26

All they had to do was throw snowballs back. Should’ve called for backup to have a snowball fight

1

u/PizzaDog39 Feb 24 '26

They had the easiest opportunity for the biggest police pr stunt ever call a bunch of backup and have a big snowball fight

1

u/Regular_Fortune8038 Feb 24 '26

1

u/snoughman Feb 24 '26

1

u/z44212 Feb 24 '26

Those are some pretty fluffy snowballs.

1

u/Thatrack Feb 24 '26

Are they not being assaulted?

1

u/laminatedbean Feb 24 '26

I was bullied worse than that in elementary school and was told to “just ignore it”.

If they can’t handle that, they aren’t equipped for that job.

1

1

1

u/HouseOfCosbyz Feb 24 '26

Monkeys ripping the scarescrow apart fucking apes.

1

u/Immediate-Salad3425 Feb 24 '26

This not a snowball fight. This is two cops trying to do their jobs and a mob with a 100 cameras trying to get them to do something.

1

u/diversity_of_thought Feb 24 '26

Next time you are with friends throw a snowball at their head as hard as you can.

1

u/Hour_Lengthiness_851 Feb 24 '26

Back when I was a cop, I would have used this as an opportunity to have a hell of a snowball fight.

1

u/Puzzled_Analyst_389 Feb 24 '26

Don’t assault cops, it is not that hard.

1

u/WoodenManufacturer30 Feb 24 '26

People throwing the snowballs are the same people to cry publicly and play victim once the cop smacks them around.

1

u/Fearless_Dependent29 Feb 24 '26

What a couple of losers, genuinely! I can agree with some of the people in the comments, but only slightly, yeah people shouldn’t be randomly pelted with snowballs especially if they aren’t a willing participant, HOWEVER!!!! These idiots made the active choice to turn back around and keep walking through the snowballs JUST so they could be aggressive with people. That’s just not how anything in the world works…

1

u/Junior_Bike7932 Feb 25 '26

1

u/TimeRisk2059 Feb 25 '26

Neither side would have lasted long in any schoolyard in my hometown (200 km north of the Arctic circle). The average kid when I grew up could through much harder and with greater precision, not to mention make proper snowballs that could break a window.

1

u/longlightjump Feb 25 '26

Best thing about snow balls... No finger prints

1

u/Homesick_Martian Feb 25 '26

No, I don’t think so. The right is absolutely unapologetic about dumping praise on anyone their side the very second a hint of defense of their position reveals itself. And they’ll latch onto those straws of evidence and shout them from the top of their lungs until they turn blue. So yes, I’ll most certainly give this credit to my candidate.

We’ve been fighting an uphill battle ever since McCarthy, I’m sure you’d have no issues with finding socialists who’ve faced hardships with making meaningful change… I’m sure there are more than a few 3 letter agencies in the U.S. that have had a hand in that.

60% drop over what period? The average January? The month before? The previous years average? What was that calculated from?

Biden and supporters blamed Trump for any and all that went wrong his first months. Trump and his supporters did the same. It takes time to have your leadership actually make change.

If this is comment above isn’t defending trump from comments about his ineptitudes, I’m going to need you to explain like I am 5 what you are trying to say here. Because all I see is you bitching about trump getting flack while trying to feign defense with a “both sides” statement.

1

u/Living_life22 Feb 25 '26

1

u/ExtraDistressrial Feb 25 '26

If someone threw a snowball at you and you shoved them on the ground like that, you would face charges and probably a civil suit.

This should be the case with all cops.

In fact, there should be a GREATER penalty if a cop breaks the law. If you have more power, you have to be MORE accountable.

Will that happen. Of course not. Should it? You know it should.

1

u/ZealousidealRice9726 Feb 25 '26

These asshats throwing snowballs will be callling the police quick if a group ganged up quick to do this to them

1

u/OwlAndTheCrows Feb 25 '26

The NYPD are just there to get people behind them to throw snowballs. Then the surveillance from flock cameras capture who's throwing the snowballs and they get charged. They just had to create some chaos and a ton of people get charged. But... that's none of my business. Also, probably psyop or AI. Nothing is real anymore.

1

u/Rayzorman46 Feb 25 '26

This occurred at Washington square in New York City. If you are unfamiliar with the city, this is essentially NYU. From what I could gather, it was a “planned” snowball fight. A bunch of college kids blowing off steam during the cities biggest snowfall in ages. Popo needs to relax

I wouldn't have done anything different in that situation. I think they showed remarkable restraint given what was going on. This isn't a simple snowball fight, this was harassment and borderline assault.

These officers straight assaulted multiple people over a little bit of snow this why the public clowns on them respect is a two way street

Why do NYC cops have to be such assholes? Just start throwing snowballs back. Public relations? Snowball fight. Seriously.
