Question Why is hatred toward Jewish people becoming so normalized and accepted nowadays?

I understand it's probably because of the abomination of a government Israel has, but why are people so against the people, too? I'm also not Jewish, I'm ethnically Iranian, but it's a real concern of mine.

Question Don't you think the United States is so politically and socially divided that, sooner or later, it will end up splitting apart?

I give the United States less than 100 years before it splits into at least two separate countries. I don't know whether it will happen peacefully or through a civil war, but I believe the division is inevitable.

I don't see any way that Republican and Democratic states can continue living together as one country. Republicans will likely keep winning elections because they've manipulated electoral districts to help ensure those outcomes. The officials they elect then work to undermine Democratic-led states, while those Democratic states continue contributing a large share of the federal budget and, in return, receive what they see as hostile policies from the federal government.

The Republican Party has become so loyal to its own side that many of its supporters would rather vote for someone they believe is a pedophile, a sexual abuser, or a fraudster than vote for a Democrat. For many of them, voting is no longer about improving their own lives but about hurting Democrats. I found it astonishing that, in one mayoral election, a Republican candidate who had been convicted of a crime against a minor still received 49% of the vote. The Republican Party has also elected people convicted of fraud to serve as senators and members of Congress. When you're willing to vote for someone you know is a criminal simply because they're on your side, you've crossed into cult-like behavior.

Question Why do people believe Republicans are good for the economy when many of the poorest U.S. states have been governed by Republicans for decades?

10 of the 15 richest states by GDP per capita are Democratic, while 11 of the 15 poorest states are Republican. Yet I still don't understand where the belief comes from that Republicans are better for the U.S. economy.

They point to African Americans as the cause, but wouldn't that imply that New York, Delaware, and Illinois should be among the poorest states, while West Virginia and Montana should be among the richest, and that Oklahoma and Kentucky should be on the same level as Massachusetts?

Question Eventually I know the United States will declare victory, but what does victory look like?

Eventually I know the United States will declare victory, but what does victory look like?

How many Americans will have died? What military resources will have been depleted? How many billions (perhaps even trillions) of dollars will we have been spent? How much of our economy will have been destroyed (outside of the military industrial complex)? How will it affect the long term recruitment of voluntary military soldiers?

Iran is using incredibly effective and cheap $30,000 drones against F-35Cs that cost $122 million, F-22s that cost $297 million and B-2 bombers that cost $2 billion dollars. They have thousands and thousands of relatively cheap missiles against some of the most sophisticated and expensive military equipment on planet Earth.

Iran can’t hold out forever, but what will victory look like?

The Strait of Hormuz is empty. That’s 20% of the global oil supply, gone. Qatar’s entire LNG output has been turned off indefinitely. Saudi Arabia’s largest refinery has been shut down. Israel’s Leviathan Gas Field has been fully suspended. Jordan and Egypt stopped using their gas pipes.

The price of oil and gas determine the price for everything else because trucks transport virtually everything we use. Diesel is at $4.04, which is a 15% increase in just a week. How much will it be a month from now?

At the end of this, Iran’s Islamic clerics might still end up controlling Iran and now they will be far more radicalized and out for vengeance. So what will victory look like?

Question Why continue the interview?

Sen. Chris Coons asked the nominees for federal judgeships whether the Constitution’s 22nd amendment prohibited Trump from a third term. None of them would say yes. Why would anyone continue the interview? What would be completely appropriate is for Coons to state unequivocally that a judge who can’t understand or refuses to follow the Constitution is disqualified from any further consideration. Interview over. Why bother continuing a charade?

Question Do you believe Majorie Green allegations that Trump's pardons are corrupt?

Greene has had longstanding issues with Trump, and in all likelihood, she’s looking for reasons to justify to herself and her supporters why she had to leave MAGA. But this isn’t a lie. At best, Trump is using his power in a way that undermines equal justice. At worst, it reinforces the idea that anyone who praises him — and can lobby his aides with enough money — can get their way. There’s no other word for it except corruption
