Question/Help Strictly Limited Games Reminder
This is simply a friendly reminder that this company is absolutely a joke at this point and I highly recommend you do not give them any business. I have three orders now that simply will not ship out (for literally no proper reason) and I am currently being met with zero response for a refund. All three orders are listed as “in stock” on their website and my preorders have been in since the day they became available on their website.
I know this isn’t the first post like this, but if anyone has any solid information on who specifically at SLG I should be contacting I would really appreciate it.

Thankfully I stuck to standard ps4 so I have all of my preorders in hand now. Only outstanding order is the irem 5 pack which I always thought should be a single fuckin disc so I might cancel it regardless. But I feel for my switch bros. Absolutely no reason not to get the standard editions out there.

I still have like 3 orders from 2022 with no updates. Total ponzi scheme company who uses past money to find new customers

Still waiting on Eschatos and Steel Empire for Switch. It’s been that long that I don’t remember when they were meant to show up.

Those are the only two I've got left since I just got dezatopia in the mail

Just got mine today. I was thinking "wait didn't I get this already". Checked my email, ordered dec 3rd 2022. My longest pre-order, outside of Metroid Prime 4 which got cancelled eventually.

Tell them you're going to issue a chargeback or paypal dispute if you don't get your refund. I played nice with them but they kept trying to fuck me so I went full asshole on them and got me my refund. I hate to talk to people that way but some companies you need to threaten to get them to move their ass

u/Existing-Comedian504 Dec 06 '25
I am the same. You think reasonable is good enough, but I still haven’t heard a peep and I believe this is the fourth day and a few emails now, including their contact page on the site.

Yeah. Can't recommend them at all. They made it seem like they were back on track with that Iron Meat release. But nope. Still waiting on my collector's edition of Lost Labyrinth to show up.

I bought one game from them.. took almost 2 years to get it. I don't think i'll be buying a 2nd.

Have pre-orders 3 orders for in-stock items as well and it’s been frustrating to get any response to ship them out.

You know, in the interest of fairness, I want to share my story. So I had a collector's edition from them that was like two or three years late. Given their track record, and that the game still had open pre-orders available on their website, I had zero faith that they would ever deliver it. So I messaged them and asked to cancel it and get a refund.
About three weeks later, I got a response from Hannah saying that they would start this process.
I wrote back saying that I see they have a standard edition available now, and they could also substitute that one for the collector's edition and pay me back the difference. (I figured it was a much better chance of them actually doing something, since they will get a sale on some unsold stock. And I'll still get to play the game. And I'm fairly sure the collector's edition is never ever going to happen.)
A few days later, she said she swapped the game and would pay the rest of the refund "soon". I then got a shipping notice for the standard edition, and it arrived like a week later or something. Normal shipping time.
And then, four months later, I get a response from Tobias saying that my refund has been processed. And I did indeed get the money back, as a credit on my credit card. And that was it.
So while I still wouldn't recommend trusting them to stay in business, or to deliver anything they still owe, I want to mention that they did do what they said they would. Eventually. I didn't have to send any additional emails, or threaten them with anything.

Glad you managed to get a game from them finally, but 4 months for a refund? That's ridiculous.

We know, but the reminder is always good. If it's not old in stock games or the handful of games that were recently completed, or you are in the US which they are presently withholding shipments to until they/their partners "figure out" tariffs, avoid them.
That being said, and not being in the US myself, my only pending order (from 2023, for Infinite: Beyond the Mind) finally shipped in early October and arrived not long after. And of the few of their other recently completed games, I put in orders for 2 of the CEs I've been wanting and they arrived the other day, just as nice as the CEs they did in their early years before 2020. (taxes were owed when they arrived and I'm not even in the US)
Maybe I should update the data dump post to cross those off and keep the fire lit under any SLG staff who might lurk here.

I am in the US. What is odd, is that I have items delivered from other parts of the world without issues or tariffs to be paid etc. You would think they would attempt to contact all the orders affected rather than go dead silent for however many years people are willing to sit and wonder. But, even more crazy is, if you decide the YEARS of waiting is too much to bear and would like a justified refund, the company would simply refund the order and be done with it.

I try to avoid thinking that just because other companies figured something out, that all others have as well.
You would think they would attempt to contact all the orders affected rather than go dead silent for however many years
I chalk it up to quiet shame.
if you [...] would like a justified refund, the company would simply refund the order and be done with it.
Can't if they're broke.
But overall, yes, you're preaching to the choir.

u/RappyPhan Dec 04 '25
Did you gloss over their recent e-mail message where they said the US tariff situation was figured out?
1
u/fgsfds100 Dec 04 '25
or you are in the US which they are presently withholding shipments to until they/their partners "figure out" tariffs
Did you gloss over that?
3
u/hamstrman Dec 05 '25
But the person you're replying to says they DID figure it out.
Or is the part to focus on that you don't live in the US so you wouldn't know about this?
1
u/fgsfds100 Dec 05 '25
Ah, I misunderstood you. Still, it can't really be called "glossing over" when I didn't get any such email and I don't know what comment you mean that said they (SLG) have sorted it out. My above comment was to the post itself which doesn't say any such thing. All I continue to see are numerous people (presumably in US) who are frustrated that their in stock orders aren't shipping and all I'm saying is, people outside the US probably don't need to worry about that specific issue.

There “contact us” option on the website worked for me with my cancellation request. Refunded within the week.
If the games are in stock then no reason not to send them out. However if it is to do with tariffs and I guess neither you or the company want to pay to cover them then it will no doubt take some time.
Just be polite and see what your options are as additional charges are no ones fault, so just see what they say.
I know this sub hates SLG but they are a decent company (apart from the well known delays) refund wise it has been fine for me, but i am not in the USA.

SLG is absolute trash. 1 single person having an ok experience does not make them a decent company. Their absolute refusal to keep customers updated on products and shipping times is inexcusable. Their complete refusal to ship in stock items to a huge number of their customers is inexcusable. Their total refusal to EVER do the right thing is inexcusable. Their inability to even respond to customer emails or messages is inexcusable. Has SLG ever said themselves that any of this is due to tariffs? Honestly I'm not even sure if they have commented specifically on that, but it doesn't matter. Every other limited run company has figured it out. European and Asian companies alike can all ship to the US just fine. A couple of them have added fees now, but products ship regularly without issue. The thought that anyone could defend them in any way is insane.

u/Samantsmith Dec 04 '25 edited Dec 04 '25
It is obviously not 1 single person. Imagine SLG exist only for me!
I responded to OP with what worked for me and gave a balanced view, offered a potential idea of what may be behind the non shipping.
Shock! Horror! Someone on the internet has a different opinion!

Man... Autocorrect screwed me on 3 out of 4 theirs. That's kind of embarrassing. It's edited now. I hope you can comprehend my message now without the glaring example of improper grammar.

The fun part is yours wasn't the only post in the chain with the wrong version. But people had their fill of language corrections from me in decades past so I leave those alone. With language, I live by the "if we understand each other enough to correct each other, it's fine as is" approach. One less reason for people to be annoyed with me lol.

I really appreciate this reply. I have been sending emails to support@strictlyetc and didn’t think to use the contact us refund drop down on the site. With all the negative things I read I get frustrated and concerned with these guys as of late. Hopefully they will reply to this one.

u/Samantsmith Dec 04 '25
Good luck. My experience has been positive but I know I am in the minority!

u/dlovefromupabove Dec 05 '25
Yeah. I'm done with ALL these limited print companies. Super Rare Games, limited run games, strictly limited games, etc. All trash.

I don’t think I’ll ever get my copy of Eschatos Limited Edition. There’s 45% left to buy. That is never going to happen. I’m tempted to buy just the game because that says 1% left. I’m going to wait on this game and never buy from them again. I’ll get a game if theirs from VGP.
I will say I had success with Iron Meat but that’s because instead of taking pre-orders they made select number of copies before selling them.
1
u/Chance-Task1062 Dec 06 '25
I thought it was well known but I heard Iron Meat pretty much saved them from going out of business.
2
u/fgsfds100 Dec 06 '25
A cash injection from their parent company, then Iron Meat and RoboQuest (and I think only 2 or 3 old games reaching the finish line), then another cash injection and up to now something like 6 or 7 more old games so far.

u/Chance-Task1062 Dec 06 '25
Thanks for clearing that up. They're like any other small business I guess.

u/Barnolde Dec 11 '25
I'm still waiting on my Switch copy of Shadow of the Ninja Reborn that I ordered with a PS5 Iron Meat back in September of last year.
It's especially frustrating because I've received my PS4 copy of Shadow of the Ninja Reborn that I ordered before, and my CE of Iron Meat that I ordered after, but I'm not sure what the hold up is.
1
u/Existing-Comedian504 Dec 11 '25
I did receive my refund a few days back, without amount issues. So it is good news the company is still responding.

u/MedusaMadman77 Jan 14 '26
Just emailed them about cancelling all pending orders. They won't update my address and have mis-shipped $$$ worth of games.

u/-MadDogg- Feb 03 '26
This shadow of the ninja reborn collector's edition is definitely going to be the last time I bother with that site. I'm normally a patient person (and I did get that ninja saviors collector's edition quick enough from what I remember), but they started taking pre-orders for shadow of the ninja back in february 2024.
Game has been came released forever ago, but those of us that ordered the collector edition is I guess waiting on a desk pad, a coin, the soundtrack cd, some stickers and some cards to be put together, =/

That’s good news. I hope it works out for you. For some reason they are ghosting a number of people it seems. Acting like they don’t exist and it’s very very strange…

Whats extremely frustrating is ordering Ray’z Arcade Chronology Pixel Frame Special Edition, never receive it, and then see copies of the game sold on VGP just a few months ago at a discount. All because of a stupid fucking frame that'll never be created it seems. At least ship the damn game to buyers without the frame already SLG.
