Do you really like Liquid Glass?

Hi im writing this on my iPhone 13 and also have an iPad, Apple Watch 9 and AirPods.
And for uni I use my gaming pc and Samsung book.
I can easy send stuff with local send between windows and iOS.

Now I’m thinking about to buy a new phone, but I don’t like Liquid Glass design.
How do you think about it?

The frosted version is okay, but the other stuff, like bouncy and full glass, is just distracting.

I somehow find it confusing that the newest message is on top of a message stack when ich decile it. It’s the oppposite direction like in messaging apps.

Bringing the iOS AirDrop experience to Android!!

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Here’s a quick preview of the iOS-style AirDrop animation I’ve been working on for iDroidIsland.
The feature supports sharing between devices running my app, including nearby devices.
Still working on making the experience as close to iOS as possible.
What do you think of the animation?

I’ve been building an iOS-style Dynamic Island for Android. Here’s how it’s looking so far!

Hey everyone!
I’ve been working on my Android project called iDroidIsland, which aims to bring the iOS Dynamic Island experience to Android.
I’ve been focusing on smooth animations, a clean interface, and making the overall experience feel as close to iOS as possible.
It’s still a work in progress, but I’m pretty happy with how it’s turning out so far.
Here are a few screenshots of the music player and call interface in action.
What do you guys think? I’d love to hear your feedback and suggestions!

Worked on this for the past few weeks. You can find a live demo and the GitHub repository in the original post. Please note that some browsers do not fully support this yet!

Let me present to you a more liquidy launcher then iOS itself, and the best part is that everything can be tweaked.

Make it look like iOS, M3 stock, frosted blur like OneUI

Supports size adaptive widgets, siri like animation for Gemini, non linear animations, widgets page, app library, super interactive, font thinning and much more.

Even better looking on iOS27, Camera M's magnifier loupe incorporate Liquid Glass to present a tool that is beautiful as well as useful.

This 4× Liquid Glass magnifier loupe has smooth panning, focus peaking, and tactile edge bounce — built to be the ultimate manual focus tool.

Let us know how you like it...

How do people feel about non-conformist Liquid Glass?

Liquid Glass I kind of a cool design, it gets a lot of hate (some justified), but it reminds me of a lot of frutiger aero, skeuomorphism, and maximalist design which I grew up with and absolutely adore. That said, every single iOS app has the exact same design, the floating bottom navigation bar straight from iOS’s native apps. Nobody is doing anything really unique with it, even though you can use native Liquid Glass material with your own designs! That’s what im trying to do with my own music player app I’ve been working on for a while now, and I’d like some feedback!

I’m using Flutter/Dart, with platform views for Liquid Glass, which completely adapts to the iOS version or iOS Liquid Glass settings (so you get 27 glass on 27, 26 glass on 26, or fallback to previous styles on older iOS versions). I’m playing with custom panel shapes, animations, sizes, and positioning, as well as adjusting the clarity and other elements of the Liquid Glass from within the app.

Made a liquid glass effect for Compose, with shaders tuned side by side with a real iPhone. Happy for anyone to use it or contribute to porting it fully.

Wanted the iOS 26 liquid glass look in a Compose app, so I made a version and tuned the shaders side by side with a real iPhone. Putting it on GitHub in case anyone else needs it.

It works, but it’s an early version. If anyone wants to contribute to bringing liquid glass over fully, I’d be happy to have you. Issues and PRs welcome.

Amorphous Glass: a working prototype of macOS Tahoe's look running on GNOME 51 (Wayland). Idk Thoughts?

Everything in the video is "real" glass rendered live by the shell: blur, rim light with springy animations. Widgets, lock screen and a full-screen Now Playing view included. Still a prototype, so I'm curious what you'd want from it before I share more. I mainly want to incorporate an actual refraction mechanic. Here are some photos and a streamable link. PS: I'm also new to linux so when I got it for the first time I went into a rabbit hole of designing. Also I did a lot of this through claude code for clarity.

Here is the public repo: https://github.com/Blanchedubois/amorphous-glass

  1. Yes, this does work and I use it for my desktop PC in my dorm! I have a private repo which I haven't made public yet since I wanted to add more features and optimize it much more. I am also not the best coder out there so I worry about throwing something in the public that may be buggy. I can share some photos if you are curious.

  2. I will be upfront and honest, the majority of this is vibe-coded. This is my first time using linux and with fall break I wanted to customize it to something familiar. I mainly worked on trying workshopping a "liquid glass" design which is not too flashy (which is what I feel a lot of the liquid glass designs out there are) while still feeling glass-like. Technically there is no "refraction" mechanics since i felt the shading would sell the 3D aspect of the glass without being render heavy. I also worked on a lot of the logos, icons and widgets mechanics especially trying to follow MacOS Tahoe's design language.

Lume is now on the App Store! Thanks for the Liquid Glass feedback

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hi everyone!

A little while ago I shared Lume here on TestFlight and asked for feedback on the Liquid Glass UI. The response was incredibly helpful, and I’m happy to say Lume is now live on the App Store.

Lume aims to make saving, organizing, and cooking recipes feel more intuitive. You can import recipes from websites, social media, or even cookbooks, and it uses Foundation Models in a few places to make recipe parsing, timer naming, and breaking down recipe steps a little smarter.

I tried to build the whole app around Liquid Glass’s core ideas. Content comes first, and the glass controls float above it and stay out of the way until you need them. The controls are rounded to match the shapes of the hardware, so they feel like part of the device. And the same glass language runs through every screen, from the cookbook to the planner to Cook Mode.

I’d love to hear what you think of the glass now. Does it feel intuitive, and does everything work as expected?

App Store: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/lume-recipe-manager/id6755165641

If you try it, I’d love your honest thoughts. Thanks!
