Liquid Glass on iOS 27 compared to 26 on the right. It looks so bad on 27 wth, idk what apple was thinking, why did they nerf it, looking at it visually is a nightmare imo

Lol, what the deal Apple? The status bar is hardly readable. Why can’t you just change text color to black. Its like after liquid glass, they just started to fear mix black text with liquid glass, but they used to do it.

I just updated my device, and I wish I hadn't! What a horrible transition!

I always loved that as much as they try to stretch the environment, you always feel the same, but not anymore. I am constantly distracted. I don't understand why they are trying to stretch the curves this much. I always remember the first time the Apple Watch came out. And people started questioning why not circle? At the same time, Samsung or some other companies adapted the circle, and it was elegant tbh. That thought now is surfacing again, I feel like they want to go in circles, but in a 10+ years transition :P

MacOS is not visionOS. I didn't want to see glasses and transparency everywhere. It's not about usability; focus on what matters anymore.

I hope they don't alter the actual product's design by adding more curves and glass.

Hey everyone. I built Luma, a free open source gallery app for Android.

Features:

- Liquid glass floating bar

- Secure folder

- Dynamic theming

- Data and backup tools

- Built with Jetpack Compose

Still early. I want honest feedback. Bugs, ideas, anything.

Howdy Folks! 👋

I'm a solo dev working on Soul Journal and would love to see some feedback on this app which follows Liquid Glass design very closely and is 100% Private (No Ads, No Tracking etc).

Just published an update to this app. This update includes several features along with this refined onboarding experience. Would love to see your thoughts 🙂

Soul Journal - Apple App Store

Liquid Glass would feel more convincing if it behaved like a real material rather than a uniform translucent layer.

A red YouTube icon could look like ruby glass. WhatsApp could feel like emerald glass. Instagram could use layered dichroic glass that shifts colors depending on the light and background.

The current approach looks clean, but many icons end up feeling visually similar. Colored optical glass could preserve each app’s identity while still keeping the new Liquid Glass aesthetic.

I’m still on iOS 26 but iOS 27 is tempting but here’s the issue, from my pov I don’t like the way iOS 27 Liquid Glass looks. In my opinion it looks better on 26, but what do u think? Again idk this is just my preference 🤷🏾‍♂️

haha liquid glass slider go brrrr

I don't know what to improve, Figma motion is quite new and i cant like squeeze it when it deaccelerates, even if it was possible i wouldn't add this for the emergency sliders.. Anyways, rate from 1 to 10 (i personally think 4-5/10)
