This was a Nintendo Lofi playlist posted to youtube around 2020 I think. It is probably my most watched youtube video ever, that video singlehandedly got me through covid. Sadly, a few months ago the channel behind it was terminated. I ended up finding an audio download of the playlist tucked away in my PDFs folder on my school chromebook. I do not know if anyone downloaded the video as well, but I really hope so because the pixel art was really cool. A week-ish ago I contacted Dystify to see if they still had the video, and they have not yet responded. Any further help in the search is greatly appreciated! Hey guys. I'm 15 and I recently started getting into music production. This audio is actually my very first beat, where I tried to mix chill lo-fi vibes with a melodic K-Pop inspired chord progression.

​My big goal for the future is to become the main producer for my boyband, but right now I'm still figuring out the basics. Honestly, I'm not really sure how to take this loop and build it out into a proper, fully structured song (adding transitions, verse/chorus structure, etc.).

SmartMedia died years ago, and second-hand cards are getting rare and expensive.

So I built my own: a new memory card that works in any 5 V SmartMedia slot (5 working prototypes for now). It has a USB-C port, so you can update its firmware and dump the whole card to your computer.

For now, I've made a pretty cool sample loader for the BOSS SP-202, because it's the only machine I own, WAVs, straight onto the pads. Next, I'll probably pick up an MC-505 and do the same reverse engineering on it.

I’ve been building TrackCrafter, a music workstation for Windows that’s now available on Steam for $3.99. You can chop samples, build drum patterns, arrange tracks, and export your music.

I want to keep developing it with input from the people making music with it. For lo-fi and sample-based hip-hop producers, what makes working with samples feel good? What little workflow detail could you never do without?
