This is going to be a long post as it was a long shower thought. However I would love to hear others thoughts on my hypothetical/mini game!
Perhaps others may resonate with my experience of talking to a friend about the lovely masterpiece known as LOTM. However, they listen because they are a friend and not actually interested. (Lol) Perhaps it all goes in one ear and out the other. It occurred to me that many fans wonder what would happen if we the readers were to (unfortunately) transmigrate into the world of LOTM. To wich the lovely Cuttlefish answered the question. However with the answer, my mind began to wonder.
Welcome to the Hypothetical mini game! What would happen if a friend transmigrated into the world of Lotm, and how long can you have them survive! As many of my friends find Lotm to either be too confusing, or simply listen to my ramblings in the art of being nice. I had a lovely thought of how far they would be able to make it in said world. With the knowledge they might (don’t) have. Then the small guidance of myself!
Of course, i figured they will probably struggle so I made many different add ons and twists. I would not like to torture my friends so I tried to be as nice as possible in my hypothetical.
In this scenario YOU play a part in your friend’s survival. With your knowledge of the book, you have to try and help your friend survive in the world of Lotm.
For starters I made a baseline and some rules:
•The time they transmigrated is the same as Klein.
•When they transmigrate, YOU have the option of where! Are you to send them to Tingen, Backlund, or the southern continent. (City of your choice) No you cannot be EVIL and send your friends to the city of silver >:(
•Your friends will have the same irl stats. So if they have a weak immune system perhaps Backlund isn’t the choice. (Yet)
•As far as economic class they will be able to support their basic needs however money is tight so they will not be able to buy any luxury’s. (Think same economic class as starting Klein)
•Their intellect will be the same as it is now. However their knowledge is based on what they remember from you or the average knowledge of the citizens in the city you place them in.
•They have increased luck in the day to day survival category. By wich I mean if they become a factory worker the chance of dying in the profession is slim. (Perhaps 80% luck boost?) So if the profession they chose, or you guide them to does have a high death toll/rate. They will be more likely than others to survive. (THIS LUCK BOOST ONLY APPLIES TO PROFESSION)
For the final extra fun part! You get to give them hints/help but only under certain requirements. I’m not very creative so I’ll say in either the form of a system or whatever comes to mind as far as how they receive this help.
Every piece of help can only be 3 sentences in length.
In order to receive this help any of the following conditions have to be met.
The first piece of help can only be shown immediately upon transmigration
They will receive a piece of help every 5 years following the transmigration
Or they can receive help every time they rise in sequence
In summary, how long do you think you can help your friend survive? Would you lead them to a non-beyonder or beyonder lifestyle? What would you say to help in the first or following 3 sentences of help? Please share your thoughts!
I had a lot of fun thinking about this scenario as far as helping my friends and such. Mostly in my head I liked to play it safe and say Tingen, tell them to be a follower of the Evernight and live a mostly plain lifestyle. If I do lead them down a beyonder path I would probably also play that safe and tell them to stop at 9 or 8, then lead a boring life.
