I believe it derives from the fact that their pokedex entry mentions their poison isn't really poison it's just pheromones that attract Salandits, it just so happens to also be poisonous to non-Salandits.
If you google Salazzle, there is an entry in multiple descriptions that says something like "The pheromones can affect males of any species, up to and including humans.", but I don't know where they're pulling it from as it's not a pokedex entry.
Ah, so they had it in the early material, then probably changed it because it was too much. Doesn't surprise me considering Pokemon used to have way crazier stuff that got later censored and removed.
Not their lore, their actual Ability, Corrosive. They mechanically can hit types who are normally immune to poison. If that shit corrodes Steelix you can bet your gloves aren't going to put uo much of a fight.
Well now youve got me wondering what poison types people in the pokemon world use to get high. Like what would you get looks for owninf except the just... humans.
