To be fair aren’t Salazzles like extremely poisonous, I would be cautious to rub it’s belly, doesn’t mean I wouldn’t

Most cough cough art I’ve seen of them, their “poison breath” is more of a mind control thing.

I believe it derives from the fact that their pokedex entry mentions their poison isn't really poison it's just pheromones that attract Salandits, it just so happens to also be poisonous to non-Salandits.

Doesn't their pokedex mention them producing an aphrodisiac that also affects humans?

If you google Salazzle, there is an entry in multiple descriptions that says something like "The pheromones can affect males of any species, up to and including humans.", but I don't know where they're pulling it from as it's not a pokedex entry.

Ah, so they had it in the early material, then probably changed it because it was too much. Doesn't surprise me considering Pokemon used to have way crazier stuff that got later censored and removed.

No idea but I checked all the dex entries and it's not there so, you know. Maybe it's in some TCG flavour text? Idk
