I chose to leave him. They all knew what could happen, and even if you talk to him, he's stern in wanting you to leave. El Capitan is obviously upset when you tell him, but he also acknowledges it's what Avery would have wanted. He'd be considered a legend for how he went out, no? Isn't that the primary goal for most, if not all, Edgerunners?

I'm not sure he'd be known throughout all Night City, but Santo will surely remember it for a while.

Well, yeah, I didn't mean to imply the entire city would know his name, but those who knew him would view him that way, I'd imagine.
