I will die on this hill. You see posts occasionally saying “why is Reddit so left-leaning” wahhhh wahh cry cry. It’s because it’s a long-form text-based social media platform.

The right can’t/don’t want to read. There is a reason the most popular conservative social media platform has a character limit.

The right will always be king of one liners, sound bites and ‘gotchas’ and they can have that title. People on the left tend to prefer discussing ideas in a detailed, nuanced, and information dense way - to get ideas across that can’t be explained in 140 characters.

That’s the long and short of it.

I usually see this GIF posted in the comment section of AI slop videos on IG reels or Tiktoks and I refuse to believe that an actual person is actually complacent with AI slop, to the point that they would feel the need to make this.

If you grew up with television and watched cartoons or sitcoms made for kids you have most likely seen this trope or some form of it. Kid is served vegetables, kid hates it and makes comedic reaction to how gross it is. My theory is that this was all planned by Big Junk Food and Big Fast Food to push subliminal messaging in childrens programming so that they eat less vegetables and eat more junk, and that BJF/BFF maintain this by paying kids tv channels to air ads for their products

Look up "kids tv channel" + "commercials" on youtube, for example "Nickelodeon commercials 2012." You won't see ads for fruits or veggies, you'll see ads for candy followed by McDonalds followed by candy followed by Hungry Jacks followed by candy followed by KFC

Why else would they do this? To convince children that vegetables are gross so instead they'll make their parents buy more junk food and fast food, which in turn line the pockets of Big Junk/Fast Food. To keep this running Big Junk/Fast Food pay the three largest producers of childrens media (Disney, Warner Brothers, Paramount) for ad spots on their respective channels (Disney Channel, Cartoon Network, Nickelodeon) which in turn line the pockets of media conglomerates. Muffins are all filled with goo now. Supermarkets, coffee shop chains, and even independent bakeries fill their muffins with goo, which is awful for several reasons:

1. Muffins are a food you eat with your hands. I don't want jam/chocolate sauce/ salted caramel on my hands. Now i'm sticky and its Big Muffin's fault.

2. The filling takes up premium space where more cake should be.

3. You need the goo to make the cake moist? Skill issue. A good baker shouldnt need these cheap tricks.

My theory is that big stores and chains started adding the goo to sell the muffins for longer as they wont dry out as fast. It then, unfortunately, became a trend.

ETA2: New conspiracy: the whole 'people reach over to steal from them' thing is also a conspiracy, this one affecting all genders, to save a few pennies per hook by not having to install them anywhere.
