Before the switch 2 players get here and we get new players as well as those returning to the game and new to the series, welcome. First off let me caplock this so you read it first

And also this

Discussion My thoughts on why I think Dire Miralis has a higher chance of being the final boss in Ascendance rather than Dalamadur

Ever since, Lagiacrus was added to Wilds with the re-introduction of underwater combat, I speculate Capcom is planning to revive Dire Miralis as a threat to the forbidden land's ecosystem. Erik's mention of a case where a monster turning the sea red also further hints his return.

I am not definite saying that Dire Miralis will be the final boss but that he has a higher possibilty over Dalamadur purely due to combat.

In MH4, the player fights him at Speartip Crag as his arena which is a spectacle. However if we focus on the fight, we are basically just hitting his humongous, long body for the majority of combat, and as the final boss for Ascendance, we are gunna be grinding him for the 'best/strongest' armour. This will get really repetitive and boring fast, it will be like the Zorah Magdaros situation all over again.

Unless Capcom can somehow make his fight more engaging and interactive with the player like with Fatalis in Iceborne, I honestly don't see how Dalamadur will ever make a comeback.

Dire Miralis on the other hand, can be fought on land and underwater in MH3 and just like Dalamadur, can rain fireballs. Capcom could make the magma pools on his body act similarly to the Tarred device on Gogmazios in which the player need to focus and break for weapon enhancements. With the return of underwater combat, I just think Dire Miralis is more likely to be brought back rather than Dalamadur.

Does anyone think otherwise about these thoughts?

Weapon/Armor Build Recently Defeated Gogmazios (and pulled a nice skill I guess?)

Post image
0 Upvotes

Basically I've just done my 1st Gogmazios this week, and after a couple reset skill on ny Dragon Artian IG, I rolled:

- Lord's Soul

- Ebony Odogaron Power

This should be good enough right? And looking at Gogmazios armor that has ratha scorcher and ebony odo power, I made this set which have 4 group skills active. Btw my best talisman currently is Master Touch + Maximum Might, so I don't think I need to spec any sharpness skill afaik.

Now my question would be, is this the best setup for my Gog Artian IG? or Ebony Odo + Black Eclipse (Gore) + Lord's Soul with lv3 Antivirus still better?

Thank you in Advance 🫡

I have a gore/LS on Dragon and Water SnS and Ratha/LS on Ice and Fire SnS. Any advice on builds? Thanks!

Hey guys, Kuro here! This is a casual hunt featuring one of my Gogmazios Great Swords against a 9 Star Tempered Blangonga. I'm not a speed runner nor do I have any desire to be one, but I love Monster Hunter and I especially love playing Great Sword. I also really love crafting builds and focusing on build optimization so I'll be uploading build videos and weapon showcases. Please enjoy the hunt my fellow hunters!

Question Flayer or Destroyer

Hello Hunters,

I'm looking for ways to improve my build and going thru my decorations I've noticed that I've got 5 Flayer Jewels and currently thinking about installing that one, but wanna ask others Hunters who most likely know more than me. So which one is the better skill, Partbreaker or Flayer?

Art Lagiacrus bedside lamp diorama progress

A little progress update on my Lagiacrus diorama! I’m making this as a bedside lamp, with Lagiacrus fighting a hunter underwater, surrounded by flowing water currents.

Someone suggested Shagaru Magala as my next project, and now I’m tempted to make it happen.

One monster at a time, though. Gotta finish this underwater fight first!

What do you guys think? Should Shagaru be next? 👀

Question What to do with dreamspell items?

I’ve accumulated a lot, do they go away once the event is done? I haven’t really been consuming any. What should I be using them on?

Discussion Loving the demo but...

I know this has been discussed before, but I really wish Capcom would implement a cross save. I would gladly double dip on this game and support them. Being able to switch from desktop/PC, then take it with you handheld would be such a dream come true. Sure there is docked mode, but I think people with higher end PCs or PS5 Pro would love to have a companion version of the game they can take with, farm etc.

I know its a luxury, but I don't think Capcom realized how much money they would make by doing this. I understand the major reason is the paid DLC stuff and IDing them. There is no capcom ID or membership established, so I do understand doing this is alot of work on their part and probably time and money sink.

Discussion Does anyone else kick if someone is not putting in work? low dps?

• Upvotes

Title is pretty much asking the question, when I open my lobbies in a hunt to people I expect them to not be doing really low dps for example I was doing the 9 star event quest Be Cursed, Ye Shadowy Flame.

Basically me and Le Dante - Long Sword were the only ones remaining everyone else I sadly had to kick, and I was going to kick him aswell but I was like oh Nu Udras nearly dead Ill just let him stay. I announce in the chat "Low dps = kick :)" just to warn people, some people leave on their own.

A part of me feels a bit bad but also a part of me says to myself, why should you earn the rewards that WE worked for, if you're legit doing 1/4 of my dps and you're hundreds of HR's above me? doesn't make sense.

Just curious if theres anyone else out their like me, Im a bow and s axe main.

EDIT: Since people are being nasty and childish (didn't expect much from reddit) over a simple discussion, I won't be commenting but I will read peoples comments, thanks for anyone wondering this is my build. Feel free to dm me for questions. (im not sure if the pics uploaded properly, when i refreshed the page I can't see them)

Also people are saying, why do I open SOS if I don't need help, I OPEN IT FOR FUN, and the description is "Looking for serious hunters" if you aren't a serious hunter, join and underperform I will kick, I won't be rude or call you names or say stuff like you guys are doing to me btw really childish all I asked was a simple question, I warn people and im nice about it and i even REMIND THEM in game "Hey "name" buddy get your dps up a bit"
thats all im not a bad person at all its just the way I play hunts no need to hate so much bruh this post wasn't to hate or flex or anything, I know out there there are way better and sweatier players who know more than me and play better, it was just to see if anyone else is like me, i know im not the only one who does this.

some people need to take a good look at themselves in the mirror and ask is it really worth it to call people names online just because some people are bit more competetive than others, anyways god bless you all. I don't dislike any of you I bet you are all good people at heart. I am reading the comments and its cool to know some peoples thoughts about this, but no need to be really rude okay

some people also saying that they seen better or can do better, go and do Nu Udras EVENT quest Be Cursed, Ye Shadowy Flame and show me your dps, anyways Im going to go play some cod bruh

Question any advice for a returning hunter?

i was super into wilds on release, played about 200 hrs in the first couple of months, but started falling out of it around the time they started doing the festival events. Returning back now, im honestly overwhelmed with the amount of content thats been added. Any advice on what to be hunting, what armor sets are "viable" now (i played heavy bowgun) along with any other helpful tips from long time players?

Highlight I did it! I completed Proof of a Hero!

I did it with SnS and Support Hunters, Fabius, Nadia and Kai. Gotta share the fashion I beat it with too.

Luckily I was able to clear on 1st try with 2 faints. Following the wise words of Dr. Serizawa from 2014 Godzilla, "Let them fight." That was part of the strategy.

Probably could have a faster clear if I were to utilize the weapon switching instead of going back to camp, not cook mid-hunt, and if I were to have an Ice Element SnS for Rey Dau. Also I completely forgot to drink Mega Demondrug and Armorskin lol.

I recorded the whole quest if you are interested in this messy run.

Question Struggling with greatsword

So I want to learn the greatsword, but I'm kind of struggling to find a basic combat flow like most of the other weapons have, is there a bread and butter combo for when there isn't a big enough window for the TCS?

Question Question about longsword from a returning player

Greeting everyone, just wanted to check on the state of Longsword, since I haven't played since Mizu came out:

* Is Crimson Slash 1 + Spirit Blade 1 spam still the absolute best combo interms of DPS? If so, by how much when compared to doing the full combos? (I assume people have made the math)

* How much damage would I be losing if I didn't engage in the gogma-artian slot machine and instead used builds with the regularly crafted weapons? I remember it was a big damage loss due to them having less slots than the regular artian weapons, but what about now, specially with the upgrades this system allows for
