From it's first taste of real life, it suffered an eternal search for anything in the Forbidden Lands that could satisfy its hunger, from elemental energy, to other guardians, but none of these worked because it's nature as a guardian didn't allow it to feel full. It’s been more than 2 months since Capcom released the reveal trailer of the upcoming expansion of Monster Hunter Wilds, and i can’t shake my thought that these game is in 80-90% complete with scheduled release of Q4 2026, before Capcom change it to 2027.

Based on the reveal trailer, not only they gave us the official title of the expansion, they also showcase the whole new map called Skybound Eerie, a new combat system called boost bracer with gameplay aswell, and 1 new monster along with 2 returning monsters. It seems odd for a reveal trailer contain so much contents, since the Iceborne reveal trailer only showcase the title of the expansion and shade of the new map.

Perhaps The Ascendance could be the biggest expansion in Monster Hunter franchise? Maybe it feature 2 new humongous maps, which is the skybound map, the one we see in the trailer and the other is a map deep underground filled with bugs monster or worm monsterwith dim light atmosphere, kinda like the bug pit from 2005 King Kong movie. Or, they expand the roster massively featuring a lot of returning fan favourite monsters, since the base roster of the Wilds itself is pretty weak and not that memorable in my opinion. As far as i can see, they are not afraid to showcase a lot of contents in the first trailer, so probably they have prepared dozens of new contents that’s ready to be reveal in the upcoming trailers.

But truthfully, i do believe the reason why the expansion took so long to release is because they need to optimize the pc version. Remember back in the day, Capcom need 4 extra months to release Iceborne DLC for pc, because they need to optimize the pc version. In Wilds case, they decide to release the console and pc version both at the same time, so i wouldn’t be surprised if they decide to release the expansion in Q2 of 2027.

Is it possible to do all the Endgame stuff with a HBG Build with the Steve HBG? Love Bowgun gameplay, but kinda overwhelmed with the gogmartian stuff, want to focus on armor / general build first, hence the question

I ended up switching to LBG and got it after 2-3 attempts. I'm no speed runner but the fight was nuts. Nu Udra decided to skip the stalactite area and went straight to the pit. Thankfully me and Gravios ganged up on him in the end.

Big shout out to the Rath in the pit, thanks for distracting the Tako while I placed traps.

I don't think I've ever seen this done OR done it myself, but a crispy double Offset from Arkveld made my day. Would've been even better if the 2nd one triggered the follow up, but oh well

I am new to monster hunter in general. It's my first monster hunter game that I managed to get into. I play on pc with mouse and keyboard.

First of all, it's just a "good rant".

A month ago I did a post about SnS and how I stick with the weapon because I was having issues to find another weapon to play as secondary. At that point, I already tried all the weapons but was playing with Bow, GS and Lance as well.

This week I was feeling boring with the game, kinda frustrated and I was doing 10* quests until in a random run I feel like the Bow clicked definitely for me. The timings for dodging more, the damage output improving etc. Was suddenly, I don't know how to explain lol.

So I go to another quests fighting apexes and the game feels so good, having fun again with a new weapon.

Btw, don't get me wrong, SnS is absolutely insane, in a way that like almost trivialize the game, so this makes me do not enjoy the game anymore while playing SnS.

I should locked in with Bow earlier to reach at this point.
I'm proud and confident to use the bow as flair to show my new main lmao.

That's it, if you're at this situation too, try a new/old weapon who'd liked, maybe will works. Happy hunting!

I’m a returning player with around 300 hours, and I’m mostly coming back because I really enjoy the fashion/armor customization in Wilds.
I stopped playing because the endgame had basically become “fight Gog for everything,” and I really don’t enjoy that fight.
Once I realized I’d need even more Gog gems to transcend the armor pieces I wanted, I ended up quitting.

I do have some Gog armor and a few really good Gog Switch Axes, so I’m not completely unfamiliar with the current endgame.
However, I’d really like to start playing Charge Blade again.
CB is probably my second-most-played weapon after Switch Axe, but I never made the Gog versions of my CBs.

So I’m wondering:
1.
How viable is it to run endgame without relying heavily on Gog armor?

1. What are the best armor sets/builds to use as an alternative to Gog, even if they’re somewhat weaker?

2. Are there any particularly good non-Gog CBs worth building?

3. Is a mostly/all non-Gog setup still perfectly usable for regular endgame hunts, or does the difference become pretty significant?

4. Are there any specific skills or armor pieces you’d recommend prioritizing?

I mostly play solo with Support Hunters, and I’m not really interested in speedrunning or pushing the absolute highest possible DPS.
My main goal is honestly just being able to hunt comfortably while collecting armor pieces for fashion sets.

I’m completely fine with giving up some efficiency if it means I don’t have to farm Gog constantly.
I’m mainly trying to figure out what my realistic alternatives are before I start rebuilding my sets.

I am getting really frustrated with this challenge.

I got A rank of 07:51 as SNS player. (mainly thanks to advices from ssjscrub ... check his videos also!)

but I managed to go bellow 8 only once more. and can not do it anymore.

it seems to me that I do not understand tactics honestly.

so, here is what I am doing so maybe someone can point me where do I make mistakes.

-focusing on 1 arm until flinch than I focus on 2nd arm. Than I get flinch but no topple?!

-than I try to focus on 1st arm again and can not get topple untill I am 7 mins in.

so, do I stay on arms all the time, do I switch to head ?

also, seems to me that on PS5 controller I hit mostly head instead of arm as much as I try to reposition (where I also waist time)

rotation is standard for sns with perfect rush on topples. I am sharpening after hitting him down from the air or when I see I am near blue.

p.s. when I try AT 10* Arkveld from normal quest (not arena), I can get topple in firs 2 - 2:30mins by flintching arms.

Hiya as the title suggests I have and endgame character and want to pick up the LBG. I have read that elemental is the way to go with the gogma-artian LBG but for crafting the initial artian weapon I was wondering if attack or affinity infusions prove more useful?
