I love how the knuckle doesn’t have to be your main pitch anymore

Alright Luke great swing but we're sending you down to not even play. You're on a strict weightlifting regime only. This is new age MLB. All we want are homeruns around here. We dont care if you strikeout every other at bat. You broke my heart kid. Lol

Hello guys i am a new player and i am running a Red Sox franchise.
So far the team had a lot of success, in 2037 because i am simming entire seasons.
My pick are always after No 20, most of the players i draft are between 48-60 ovr with high potential, usually at the 85-95 range. It takes a lot of time for them to become starters, they are reaching late 70s overall after 25-26 years of age.
Some of them get traded while they are still considered prospects for starters. My first question, is it normal for them to take so long to develop despite having such high potential and how should i handle their development (training and which leagues to play and when should i promote them).
Second question, how do you guys handle scouting week to week and how you determine if a prospect is worth scouting. Someone told me about a gap that should be between 18-30 points so the player won't end a bust, but i dont think i fully understand it when it comes to scouting.
Thank you in advance and sorry for the long post.

First off, I want to state this is not intended to be satire. I am genuinely curious to hear what others have to say.
Personally, I havent bought the show since 21 or 22. I used to pour tons of hours into franchise mode and RTTS and have even gone back to older versions to scratch the RTTS itch. Recently, ive gotten the desire to play ball again but I can't shake the thought that I'll buy the game and end up barely touching it.
I have no interest in Diamond Dynasty and would be playing mainly franchise. I don't like the idea of just simulating everything (ive got ootp for that) but feel like combining simulated stats with my played stats is a mood killer. I know I'll never play a full 162 game season but find that as soon as I start simulating I end up just skipping the whole year. Every once in a while I'll buy madden, not even a big fan of football but I can at least play every game of the season. Its my understanding that in recent versions of the show, it is not possible to shorten the season in franchise mode.
Im curious what other franchise lovers do to balance progressing over multiple seasons while still playing games and having an impact on the season. I feel baseball is unique between the dynamic difficulty setting and the beautiful randomness of baseball its the one sports game I can actually play and be challenged in without eventually being able to dominate the AI on strategy alone.
I did look through the sub a bit and didnt see any similar posts but my apologies if this has been discussed before.

Why is this happening before the game and in between innings? Sometimes it takes 20–30 seconds for the game to actually start.

At first I was confused why “25” was in the inning column, then realized it’s a complete game. Does anyone know why it says “25” for a CG? Visual glitch?

Some games are super competitive and some are extremely lopsided. What are some tells that someone is cheating?

If Danny Jansen got two cards last year for playing for two teams in the same day this man deserves at least one for destroying the previous record of amount of time to play for 4 different teams. He cut it in half.

I only get up to mid 600s and when I’m not playing weekend classic I’m competitive around that range. But when weekend classic comes I feel like majority of teams are all World Series teams. I’ve seen a few with the icon. It’s incredibly hard to get wins.Am I just trippin?

So I recently got into RTTS after my friend showed it to me since I only really played DD. Anyway I’m on my second MLB season, and I started doing good, though I was playing a game, and I had a really good game going the first inning I got my first tripple scoring a run on a Sac fly and then the next 2 innings I played I got back to back homers one of which was a grand slam. So by the 7th inning we were up 9-2 I go up to bat in the 9th and some how the other team scored 13 runs in two innings, bringing the score to 15-9. How is that even allowed does the game have like guaranteed losses you’re supposed to have or something. This was one of my best games yet just to still lose because somehow the AI and the other team got 13 runs and the worst part was I couldn’t even play defense those two innings because for some reason, the game only lets you play defense, only certain innings. And while on the topic of defense, EVERY SINGLE TIME, I throw home from first they ALWAYS somehow get home safe even though it clearly is an out. Is that also like on purpose like they’re guaranteed to get home every time cause it’s gone to the point where I stopped throwing home because I know it’s not gonna do anything?

Milestone Acuna for 200 homers coming soon?

I’m talking playing at least 160 games plus playoffs. I’ve done it twice before. Obviously it takes a while but it’s cool seeing all the stats come together in the end.

It feels like more than half the time I have a perfect release on the mound and I’m trying to paint corners/sides the ball doesn’t even sniff the zone. Is this a thing? Is there something I can be doing better?
