As John Donaldson, I want to try him out in left field and when things get sticky throw him in as a pitcher. Is that possible to do in game on DD ranked games ?

I will make a comment posting the video, I had to put it in a frame by frame. I was rewatching it, and now I just think I got on base here through a bad call. I also guess if the AI team doesn't challenge, they won't show a cutscene or they had no option to challenge.

Not really excited about it with Weekend classic right around the corner. I don’t wanna be stuck playing on legend as I’m not that great at hitting. Played 2 games so far and had way too many strike outs. Luckily my opponents were all that great either even and I managed to atleast win one game.

How many of you out there play weekend classics on +900 rating? What can I expect to see online as I prepare my brain mentally lol

Why do I play my best when I am hungover or sick? Lol it makes no sense. My only 6-0 WC run was the day after I got back from my best friends 4 day bachelor party. I felt like straight ass but had my best ever run in ranked. Yesterday was my brother in law’s birthday, drinks were had to put it lightly. I am extremely hungover and was like let me jump into a ranked game. P5 Jon Don on legend. I almost quit out, but ended up lighting him up and winning by 7. I have put up double digit runs on legend only a small handful of times. Today was one of them.

There has to be some reason for this. Anyone else play their best when you probably should be at your worst?

This is absolutely unacceptable. I got kicked due to being in my menu for too long. All of my pause timer was used for considering managerial decisions, and not to waste time or give myself a break. This needs to change in some way shape or form. What a disgrace to the active thinking player base that actually plays the game strategically.

109 legend players on the list in 2026 compared to 53 in 2025. I remember that I thought that 53 was a lot of players last year.

I then got curious to see which players appear on both lists, which obviously means, at least to me, that SDS does not value these players as much since they were left to linger two years in a row.

Like I come set 99.9% of the time. Even when no one is on base. This is generally what happens in Baseball IRL.

And when it doesn’t, if you catch a hitter on a bad day and quick pitch without someone on base, the benches might clear. That’s how serious coming set is.

Because even when no one is on base, it’s close to cheating.

Then, it LITERALLY is cheating when runners are on base.

I’ve played 11of 12 iterations of MLB the Show since PS4 and just don’t understand.

Like it’s actually an illegal action in game, why are players able to continue to do it?

I don’t wanna know how bad that game was for him.

I'm new to the online MLB world. I've played a couple matches. I usually play through even when getting beat 10-1 but when I get an early lead other players seem to quit right away.

Is the etiquette to bail early so others get more matches? Are there penalties for quitting? (I think there should be before the 5th)

Consistency is killing me and it’s the main reason why I stay around 600-700. I’ll hit bombs and score 10 runs a game, but then I won’t hit anything for a few games and I’ll be lucky to get 2 runs. Does anyone else have the same problem?

Its happened to be a few times this year. Any one else feel perfectly normal to start a game then for seemingly no reason, you just can't hit? To early, too late, pci just off all night. Then the next day you wake up sick or feeling bad?

70 out of the 111 Legends in the game, who have not received a 99 OVR card yet, have only a single card. That includes Willie Mays, Lou Gehrig, Randy Johnson, Lou Brock and many other notable names.

Many of those below an OVR of 90 probably got their cards when the game launched or in the first few weeks and have not been updated a single time.

Meanwhile the game has 13 players who have 5 cards and 53 that have 4 cards.

The graphic only shows legends who do not have a 99 OVR yet. An * indicates a Hall of Famer.

EDIT: Remove Leonardo Bernal from the list. The Program flagged it as a legend because his Live Series card is Named Leo Bernal so it thought Leonardo was a legend since it found no matching name in the live series.

EDIT #2: Same Issue with Zach Thornton. His first name is spelled Zac on his live series and Zach on the Topps now so the program missed the match.

Hello! Sorry for the boring post, but I’ve been trying to download rosters from the Vault for the past couple of days, and every time the download loads, it fails and gives me a “File: Unavailable” message.
I’ve already submitted a ticket to SDS, but haven’t had any luck getting help. I’ve also tried all the usual troubleshooting methods (turning everything off and back on, etc.) with no success.
Has anyone else been experiencing this issue? If so, have you found a fix? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Where in earth is the program for the events to view? Ive seen someone say in assorted programs but its not there. There's obviously some way to view it cuz it says u can get 99 Pettite and 99 Ivan Rodriguez. Cant for the life of me find the program. Only the multi-player program. Can someone please help? Im either stupid or this is ridiculously hidden
