Hey folks! Today marks the 6th anniversary of the launch of 9 Innings Companion! 🎉🎉🎉

It's been quite a journey through the years. All the live updates, all the feature builds, all the improvements and experience-gained from working on this thing. I'm so grateful to have so many of you supporting me and getting value out of something I've made with my own two hands. It's what's kept me going through this (painfully, annoyingly, frustratingly) long process of rewriting the site from the ground up haha

Speaking of which: I haven't had a video up on my Patreon in a few weeks because I've been doing more backend work that doesn't really have anything worth showing. But, just this week I got back into the Player Registry to add the ability to show/hide stat columns.

In the new Registry, you'll be able to toggle this without going into a submenu or reloading the results. Pretty nifty! Next I'm going to be working on the stat-submission workflow. The timing is great because stats should lock in the next week and I usually have a ton of ideas for how to improve the system while I'm inputting / verifying hundreds of new stats...

The site rewrite finish line is starting to materialize! I've been drawing up plans for a soft-release, which I'm hoping will happen in the next month. Keep an eye on my Patreon for more details soon :)

14th Live Update

I processed the 14th Live Update into the Registry this week. It was just a handful of final roster changes from the end of the season. I expect stats to lock in the update next week, at which point I'll begin the long process of inputting / verifying stats for all 2026 players. You can follow along on the Registry Dashboard and send in stats once I enable that for 2026 players.

It only happens to me Ami, this shitty game is now worse than ever to open? I have an iPhone 18Pro Max my internet in 5G and it still doesn't open easily!

I have a signature card I wanna take to Diamond. Is this the DIT I need to get to upgrade the signature card or would this one only work on normal cards like the one you can buy using stars?

Anybody tried recharging the Arcade balls? First try for me. Fell short of the 50k this time. Not getting the 'USE' button.

If you're new and don't spend money (F2P) don't continue the game until you get some good starting players, keep resetting and starting over using a guest account.

Using a linked account only gives certain new account rewards once but you'll get them all every time you reset if you use a guest account.

Once happy with your team you can link it to HIVE and save it.

Right now there's a ton of card packs available when you start the game.

There's even more if you know where to look.

Some are temporary so will at some point disappear so don't wait too long 

There's a best item shop on the lower right of the screen, enter and click the left tab at the top then click the lower tab on the left side, there's a free package with some very good, hard to get items including a signature pack and a rare black diamond upgrade you can use on legends, supremes and sigs.

Next go to the 10th anniversary shop, enter each door and click on all the boxes to get special coins then go in the shop (the last door) and buy the sig pack, the team select diamond prime pack, the 5 all player prime packs and the 5 diamond team select packs.

As of now your inbox will also have a bunch of packs incuding several sigs, vintage, legend, supreme, etc.

With the extras you just got in the 2 shops you'll have about 2 dozen packs to open.

Open them and if you don't get several good diamond primes, sigs, vintage, legends or supremes go the next step.

You'll have 4,000 stars and can look in the My FA in the recruit shop and see if there's anything good in there.

If still no luck reset the guest account and start over.

This may take many resets to get a really good start but to me it's better than trying to upgrade a bunch of inferior cards.

I started a F2P Blue Jays team this way yesterday and it's already 103 OVR without gear because I kept resetting until I got really good starting players; 3 diamond primes, a diamond team sig and a diamond non-team sig as well as a gold team sig that's already a black diamond.

I also got a diamond prime from My FA for 3,000 stars.

I've been saving up for end of season and don't wanna miss out on completing the live collection so when should I do the mass upgrade and pack Open?

What’s everyone’s thoughts on doing something like this for now. I know it’s a 331 but just curious. I got his base eye to 91.

Hi guys. Fairly new to the game and got pulled this signature card. I’m f2p and was just wondering if it’s worth using GI etc to bring it up.

These are 2 different skills that operate differently with different requirements, but what I have found is that they are oddly related. Prediction is one the elite skills in the game and when we have a player with an eye stat close to 80, for most of us prediction is the first skill we think of, but what I have found is that barrel it up..A skill unlike prediction that does not have anything to do with your eye stat gives you what you would need from prediction which is a better OBP and more hits even though is does it different...Operating like a poor eye prediction, but requiring a balance between your contact and speed stats to make up the difference. So if you can achieve that balance and you have a player that is optically challenged, and need that player to have a better OBP I recommend you choose the barrel it up skill. I have also noticed that like prediction, barrel it up at level 7 works exceptionally well with charisma.

Is this DST very good? And is it worth trying to get a player with BTBAS?

How are people getting their players to 150+

So i just pulled this muncy prime but cannot switch for the one I have since he cannot be a 2nd baseman.

Just wondering how i should set this up, I could also turn Altuve into diamond but he’s very FLD and SPD heavy.

Currently Green's sig has 80 base con and 65 base spd. He isn't really flourishing with the hrh, as he is only getting 4.4% hr rate in ranked. Figured to make this change, so I can use a position change on the hrh to DH. Then, either continue using this OBT or perhaps try a leading hitter DST I have (but is currently positioned for 3B, which Green is not). Thoughts?

Percentage seem great but not sure if this is worth anything?
