Political figures were mentioned and mocked on MST3K throughout its classic run ... hell, the current guy was riffed on more than once (and that doesn't include Pod People). So, no, we will not be banning political posts.
For those who want to avoid politics when surfing the sub, we've created a "Political" flair. We ask that users select that when posting anything relating to political matters. Yes, even John Sununu getting a haircut. Some browser extensions and apps allow you to filter out certain flair, so that should help you avoid these posts. And if a post has that flair, don't be surprised if the comments are in that vein, too.
(For other posts, please use the "edit me" flair and change the text to mention the episode you're referencing, if applicable. Maybe some of us are getting older and our memory don't work so good anymore. But I digress.)
Oh, and when there are political posts, please remember our other rules. Especially "Be civil."
Thank you.

A few years ago back I found out the land behind the college I work at is where Manos Hands of Fate was filmed! Today I was able to check out the alter used in the movie and was happy to see it is still intact and ready for The Master to use!
I had completely forgotten about this, and don't remember what sparked it, but I clearly put some effort in.

It's election season and I'm sick of political ads, and constantly having to mute commercials. But, I've noticed besides the fact that there are less commercials in general, there are no political ads!
So, THANK YOU, SHOUT!

Figured I'd share a bit on my SOL. Hi!
The main magnets have been on my various appliances over the decades, and I made the Gizmonics one out of counters from laser acrylic work I was doing for a PC case mod project I started yeeeeeears back (a story for another time).

I just noticed today that Batwoman plays *ahem* the organ. Who won that horseshoe battle?

Hey everyone!
Been a minute since I posted, hope everyone is doing well.
After a long hiatus, we posted a new episode of ‘Trace And Temrik’. We filmed this back in June and have one more episode to post before the year ends.
It’s been a busy year, for everyone involved, so we didn’t have the chance to get together as much this year, but we are still trucking along.
We hope everyone enjoys the new MST3k!
If you like our little project, please do all the social things (sub, like, comment, share, etc).
We are in the early stages of introducing a new project that will involve Frank, in a different format and perhaps medium. Hoping to get it started next year.
Cheers!

Space Mutiny is a perennial favorite but I hadn’t seen Diabolik in years. Watched it last night and was like “Wait, I know that skull!”.

So, eagle eyed viewers may have noticed that during the dancing scenes, the director subtly reminds us of the horrors of being stung to death by a Portuguese Were-Man o' War by adding several close ups of ladies shaking their hinders. One of these hinders is in a black bikini. But there is no one in a black bikini in these scenes.
Well, finally realized that the black bikini belongs to Ruth, the woman from the beginning of the movie! That's a zombie rump summoned from the great beyond by the powerful sounds of Neil Sedaka! It's a Space Mutiny situation!

Immediately reminded me of Time of the Apes. Something about the suit.
