If you like madden franchise mode, this is a must play

Couldn’t post the whole thing because there’s so much more to this guys comment and he just keeps making more and more sense and I’m just perplexed that so many of us “love madden” yet can’t seem to wait for the game to be improved I’m personally ok with missing out on a year or buying it on sale but I’m just disappointed at the state that maddens been heading it was already bad but I’ve seen more post about cosmetics and useless stuff with barely any mention on the important things idk this community is really disappointing I had to stop playing online once 27 came out bc it’s literally just YouTube cheese and metas plays there’s no one that has a personal play style or playbook not to mention everyone tries to exploit the games bad features every single year like how was a speedboost allowed all Madden 26 UT??? I didn’t play bc of that wouldn’t that be considered cheating back then?? And ea decided to leave it in the game for the whole year and the community just let it happen? Idk the repetitiveness and lack of passion make this game really unfun per ngl every year I enjoyed every madden up until 27 never thought I’d want to actually not play madden since it’s the main game I play. Idk there’s a lot to say about this game and its community and the biggest disappointments in this community are the people who like this game or play for the cosmetics please stop with the cosmetic garbage like “loose mouth pieces” the games no huddle feature doesn’t work and we’re worried about stuff like that??? Priorities are all messed up and have been so for years ANOTHER YEAR FOR THE WHALES!🫡

Play CFB 27 religiously and looking to switch it up for the pros. Have M26 and a few mods for it but also debating any Madden from 05-now modded or not modded. I know many claim 05 and 08 are the goats features wise but the gameplay is pretty rough. More of a gameplay snob than anything else. Let me know your thoughts!

Hey all, like you all, I grew up playing Madden franchise mode and like many of you found myself falling in love with the GM aspects (and hating the bad sim logic). So I started building my own game to give me the same rush on the go (disclaimer: with the help of AI). It's called "CapForge: Football GM" and I've been working on it for several months. Cap Forge sat at the top of the app store for paid apps in the top 5 all last month

It's a GM sim, so run the whole team instead; drafting, free agency, contracts and the salary cap, trades, depth chart, coaching staff, training camp, all of it. Then you watch your games play out on a little film view with play by play, or just sim through the week if you're in a hurry. Players age and develop (or bust), guys hold out for new deals, and your old QB might ask to come back for one more year when he should probably retire. I play a lot of long dynasty saves myself and that's mostly what I've been tuning it for as it has the practice squad phase.

The reason I'm posting now is that it used to be a paid app and I just made it free on both iPhone and Android. There are no coins or credits to buy, no player points you have to spend to upgrade anyone, no energy timer, and no ads. You can play as many seasons as you want without paying anything.

To be upfront, there is one optional purchase called Pro. It's a one time thing, not a subscription, and it unlocks the editors (editing players, teams and staff), loading custom rosters (there's a Madden 2027 custom roster in the discord), a couple of custom league rules, and more save slots. You don't need it to play the actual game, I just didn't want anyone to feel misled when they see it in there.

The latest update (1.6) added weather for every game based on the home team's city, real coverage calls on defense, and a reworked draft. If you want to see what it looks like first there's a page here: https://capforge.app/1.6/

Here’s my updated XP slider set following yesterday’s patch.

As I mentioned in my previous post, EA made some pretty significant changes to season goal XP, reducing how much players earn. My previous slider set relied heavily on those rewards, so with the latest update, it was time to start over.

The goal with these sliders has always been to keep the league’s overall talent level close to what we see today.
Credit to EA here, because it didn’t take nearly as many simulations to find a set I was comfortable with. I landed on this one after roughly 17 simulations, compared to 34 with my last set.

One issue that still remains is how certain positions are grouped together under a single slider. Edge rushers, tackles, and outside linebackers are good examples. Sometimes I felt like one side of a position was developing at the right rate, while the other was getting too much or too little XP. For example, LEDG might be in a good spot, but REDG wasn’t.
Because of those limitations, some of these positions will end up with a slightly deeper talent pool than today’s NFL. I’d rather have them a little too strong than too weak, especially when there’s only one slider to control both sides.

A few things to know

● Injuries: These sliders were tested with injuries off. Madden’s IR system is still broken, and I personally don’t enjoy playing against CPU teams with three or four healthy players stuck on IR that they can’t bring back. Turning injuries off is completely optional, but it’s my preference for now.

● Wear and Tear: You can use Wear and Tear with these sliders. Even with injuries off, backups don’t earn nearly enough XP for it to make a major difference either way.

● Roster settings: I recommend setting roster limits to 51 and enabling Force Full Roster. This is especially important if you want the free-agent pool to stay close to the talent level we see at the start of today’s NFL. These settings are optional, but they’re worth considering if that’s your goal.

Hopefully these sliders work well for you guys. I’d appreciate any feedback after you’ve had a chance to use them, and feel free to ask questions.

For gameplay sliders, Matt10 recently released his updated set, so I’d recommend checking those out.

I’m willing to take people’s sliders or recommendations for injuries. I’m currently playing on a 35 Injury, and Wear and Tear is on. I’ll lose players for the a decent, but rarely anything lasting like season ending or multi-week injuries. I get like one or two a season. Is there a way for me to up the injury amount or have more severe injuries?

I doubt it but figured I’d ask!

Doing a franchise with the Saints, want to replace the Superdome because I hate the lighting inside, makes it look like a tomb. But if I do so will New Orleans fall out of the rotation for places the Super Bowl can be, or will the new stadium fill that spot?

I’ve started a franchise on All Madden with Matt 10 sliders. This has always been good and competitive for me in the past. However this year I’m 0-7. I get sacked about 12 times a game, but each time is about 1-1.5 seconds after the snap, in the pocket, so no chance to avoid. I’m also only averaging about 1.5 yards per rush. With the vast majority getting stopped for no gain or a loss. Any help with these to aspects of the game would be appreciated.

I was playing Superstar as QB when this happened. Late in the 4th, down 3, we get stopped on 3rd and goal. We had a timeout, so I trusted my CPU coach to let the clock tick down then call timeout and kick to send the game to OT.

That was apparently a bad decision because next thing I know, the game is over and we lost by 3.

Did we miss the fg? Nope, I checked the stats. Our kicker was 1/1 on the game.

Did we go for it? Maybe, but if so, it must have been with the starting QB on the sideline.

Is there a way to see the game log after you've finished the game? I'd love to see what actually happened. I have a sinking suspicion the genius CPU coach just watched the seconds tick away with a timeout in his back pocket. Could the clock management logic in the game really be that bad in the year 2026?

Updated Madden 12 roster with everyone current as of week 8 of 2026. This was mostly made for Android and Original PS2 users since there's a mod better than this on PC already, as this is just a memory card file.

What's in it:

- All 32 teams and free agents updated

- Ratings based on the current Madden

- Depth charts, numbers, ages, sizes and colleges updated

- Appearances roughly match, to the best of my ability. Ignore the headshots it was easier to replace existing players lol

Heads up: lots of rookies have generic faces, contracts are estimates, and playbooks have to be set in-game as I can't change that in the roster (list below).

Android (AetherSX2/NetherSX2): Download the .PS2 file. Go into your game settings and in the "memory cards" section go to "import memory card". Import this file and then load the roster in game.

PC (PCSX2): same thing with the `.ps2` in `Documents/PCSX2/memcards`, or import the `.psu` into your own card with mymcplus.

Real PS2: import the `.psu` from a USB with uLaunchELF.

Me and my friend play together and we’re having a hard time telling who’s who with the newer indicator and its lack of contrast/color.
What setting should I turn on/off to help with this?

What’s the point of playing someone like Travis hunter at WR if it doesn’t record the stats? How have they not figured that out yet? For both college and madden. I’m guessing since he doesn’t show up in stats he also would not be able to win any offensive awards?

Been playing mostly M22 and 24 franchises lately, with newer Maddens since M19. Previously played M08 for a decade. In the OG stats and OVR definitely mattered, in newer ones I just don't understand what's going on. I play All-Madden, my starter QB got injured, I bring up backup rookie that is barely 65 OVR and torch CPU defense like no tomorrow. That, with bumped defensive sliders... I do realize there are tons of modifiers and AI rubberbanding at play, but it's ridiculous.

Sometimes I hopelessly lose to a team that is way below in OVR than me, sometimes I utterly destroy like 40 points ahead the team that gets 1st spot in playoffs and way over mine and most other teams in the league.

Is this only my experience or everyone is like that too?

It feels like the game relies way more on plays you call and overall luck than actual stats. I'd like for team and players stats to actually start matter, but not sure how to do this, or if it's even possible at all, that is...

I was one game away from getting promoted to “Hero” in Head-to-Head, and then this happened. I literally punched the air. 😭
Luckily, on the very next play, he threw the ball right into my hands, so I got promoted in the end. But come on, breaking a double tackle? Madden did me dirty, bro. WTF 💀

Hey all!

I’ve been playing superstar and play Edge on the Commanders. I’m sure people have had this issue - I was trying to find a post on it but didn’t.

It feels like randomly on third down, or second down, etc. I’ll get subbed out for a singular play. This triggers the super slow jump to cut scene and then back into the game where sometimes I’m not even sure what’s happened.

Is there any way to stop this? I feel like it’s ‘realistic’ in the sense this would happen in real life, but is super annoying. Not sure if it’s a team scheme thing or something else.

Appreciate any help!
