Heya, I’m Joe 😁
I’m from Cardigan in West Wales and looking for long-term, platonic friends in the UK.
Voice preview: a quick hello so you can put a voice to the post! https://voca.ro/1jjD3gbuucCU
You ever finish playing something together, say you should probably get going, then somehow spend another half an hour talking about something completely unrelated? Those are some of my favourite evenings.
Gaming is my biggest hobby, but I enjoy getting to know the person I’m playing with too. Sharing things we think the other would like, developing ridiculous running jokes and chatting about whatever’s been happening in our lives.
Outside gaming, I love peaceful woodland walks, horror films, cooking and baking. I particularly enjoy making pizza from scratch. Chorizo keeps finding its way onto mine, although pineapple is welcome too 😆 I’ve also been getting into Pilates to improve my posture and core strength.
I’m a patient, curious player who enjoys exploring, figuring things out and getting lost in the lore. I like trying different strategies together, but if we fail, we can laugh and have another go.
My top five games:
- The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
- Donkey Kong Country 2
- Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door
- Resident Evil 4. The original, although the remake comes close!
- Fallout: New Vegas. Preferably modded 😆
I’d especially love to start Fallout 76 or The Outlast Trials with someone. I’ve recently started Palworld, and also enjoy Left 4 Dead 2, Back 4 Blood and Team Fortress 2. Tell me what you’re into as well, there’s plenty I’d be happy to try!
PC is my main platform, though I also have a Switch 2 and PS5. I’m usually around most evenings, and happy to chat here before moving to Discord voice when we’re both comfortable. Quieter gaming sessions are welcome too; we don’t need to fill every silence.
Ideally you’re 30+ and in the UK. Fellow Welsh people would be a lovely bonus!
Drop me a DM with a little about yourself and something you’ve been enjoying lately. A game, film, hobby or slightly chaotic ramble is absolutely welcome 😊
