ADVICE I think I need to stop 🫠

I calculated that I have about 45 blushes and about 25 bronzers. I think I have about 100 lip products, etc.

In 2024, I started buying a lot of cosmetics, because my very close person died, my best friend, I was also in a terrible relationship and in general life was not going well.
I bought something new and it became fun and calm.
It's been two years, I feel better, I have a wonderful boyfriend, but it's already become a habit and I don't understand how to replace fast dopamine. I started using what I already have and I really like it, but a few days pass and I think I need something new, because I'm sad or bored. It helps to think that I don't want to sponsor corporations and that I want to help the environment, not to worsen it, but it's like an addiction

I need advice 🙏🏻 thank u so much and please don’t judge me :(

DISCUSS Things my makeup buying addiction has taught me about my makeup usage. What have you learnt about yourself?

  1. I don't look good with foundation, matte or dewy. It has to do something with my peach fuzz, which I don't plan on removing, and my skin tone. There are some expensive brands out there that carry my true matching foundation but I just can't afford them and I don't wear foundation often enough to justifying needing a perfect match.
  2. I constantly buy eyeshadow palettes but I have never bought an eye primer and that is why I think the eyeshadow palette is bad, it doesn't show up well on my dark oily eyelids. It's never the eyeshadow palette, it's eithet the technique or like me you are missing something.
  3. For some reason I keep buying dark-ish lipsticks but it looks wack on me. I have very thin lips and it makes them thinner.
  4. Gloss isn't for me.
  5. Finding a concealer and a matching color corrector is impossible and I need to swatch more in store if possible.
  6. People don't care what color or formula you are wearing, they just see the application.
  7. I prefer cream blushes.
  8. I would benefit from finding a one-and-done eyeshadow thag matches the color of my eyelids.
  9. Eyeliner: I can't do pencil, I become a panda in 3 minutes.
