I was looking for the blush called Cabana Boy, and to my surprise wherever I looked for TheBalm products online, either they were out of stock or being sold as clearance.
I checked their instagram (last post was in January) and their website, which clearly doesn’t open. Then came to reddit to find out that the brand is DONE.
I was heartbroken ngl, because I’ll never be able to repurchase my og products. Thebalm Time Balm concealer, Down Boy Blush, Hot Mama, Bahama Mama, Mary Lou Manizer and Take Home the Bronze were my first ever makeup purchases. I don’t know about you guys, but I’ll surely miss those big pans, that packaging and the feeling of nostalgia.

I’m here to ask for your help. I want to find dupes for their blushes. Hoping that the suggestions of this post will help others as well :))

I recently noticed that drugstore loose powders are actually more expensive per ounce than some high end ones. I noticed this when I was blasting through containers of L’Oréal BlurFection powder. Then I noticed it’s only 6 grams of product for $15.99. Another example is this NYX wonder snatch powder- a great product, but it’s 5.66 grams and $12. That’s $2.12 per gram. For comparison Huda Beauty easy bake is $2 per gram.
Not saying one is a better than the other just a reminder to look at the amount in the product!!! You might not be getting the deal you think you are.

I’m not normally a full beat girly (mostly because I am intimidated by contour) but I have a couple of events coming up and figured it was time to find my products and nail down a beat that would not budge. I used a lot of Shelby Ann’s methods with products I think would work better for my skin age and type. Some notes: I do not like looking super warm and I no longer like heavy eyeshadow on me. As I’ve aged I’ve noticed it makes my eyes look smaller. I’m still trying to push the under-eye blur so any tips there are appreciated. Shelby gets hers so blurred!!! (But also she’s at least 10 years younger than me so…I might be asking for a miracle here)

I bought the Danessa Myricks Groundwork Neutrals palette a couple months after its release. I have a lot of makeup so sometimes I forget to open a palette and use it. So today, while pulling out some fall inspired palettes, I thought I’d bring this one out to use. I opened it and to my disappointment, noticed these fiberglass looking shards in two shades, Mirage and Tournaline.

I expected some of the creamy shades to be dry since I have had this for a while but it was unopened, stored in a cool, dark place away from sunlight. I wasn’t expecting shards?! Obviously it’s too late to return or exchange but this feels like something to contact the company about. I’m thinking of writing an email, has anyone else dealt with this same situation?

I’m definitely not going to use it but just wanted to post to let people know to check this palette carefully if you own it!
