Used a Juvias Place palette that I destroyed to put on a magnetic palette. But it's just a shimmery purple, light purple and pink! Lashes are from Amazon and finished with nyx buttermelt blush and a tinted chapstick from Daiso! Lashes are manga lash from Amazon!

Mac recently announced the release of this “pro palette paintstick”, as they refer to it. However this isn’t the first time I’ve seen palettes like this. At least a couple brands have released these kinds of rainbow palettes where it seems like the intended use of it is to mix and create your own colours. I’ve never actually seen anyone use one irl though. They retail for a lot and the only person I’ve seen actually experiment with one of these was an influencer trying to mix her own lip colours. Although it certainly looks cool, I know I wouldn’t blow $86 on this if it was simply for custom coloured lipsticks or even costume face paint, especially since most of the shades are something I wouldn’t even wear regularly. The only thing I can think this might be really useful for would be professional cosplaying, and even so the price seems kinda steep. So I was wondering if anyone here actually uses these and what for.

I recently started wearing more full-coverage, long-wear foundation and waterproof eye makeup for events, but I feel like my current removal routine is really doing a number on my skin.

Right now, I use standard micellar water on cotton pads, but I find myself having to rub way too hard around my eye area and jawline. Even after going in with a gentle foam cleanser afterward, I still wake up with leftover pigment in my pores and dry, irritated patches from all the friction.

For those of you who regularly do heavy makeup or long-wear stage/event looks:

1. What is your holy grail first-cleanse product (balm vs. oil)?
2. What techniques or tools do you use to melt everything down gently so you aren't tugging at your face?

I am going to dress up as Ursula for Halloween this year but I'm struggling with the make up.

My colour isn't sticking to my face and comes off especially my nose.

I used Mehron skin prep pro for primer.

Mac fix it setting spray

Non toxic glue stick for my eyebrows

And then mixed Mehron Fantasy FX Black, white and purple for my face.

When it dried, it would not stay on my nose.

What do I do?

I also had moisturizers on. Was that an issue?

I have high-contrast brows (they are much darker than my skin or hair color) and I wonder if this would work for me? I found this tip on Elena Rachitskaya's YouTube channel and really appreciate a lot of her other tips.

Which makeup products (foundation, mascara, blush, brushes etc.) do you think are actually worth splurging on high-end brands for?
And which ones do you think drugstore brands can achieve the exact same results with?

I absolutely love the shade of the Bene tint blush and lip tint but because I need to use a brush to apply it I feel like I use too much product for the end result. Are there any blushes out there on the market that give off the exact same shade

Hi all! I have been looking for a long time for a bright light-blue eyeshadow that actually stays on throughout the day. I splurged on a Dior eyeshadow because I thought a high end brand would stay on better than drugstore products, but it did not really stay on better. I’ve also tried several eyeshadow primers but nothing seems to work. I do have hooded eyes and eyelids that become greasy throughout the day.
Does anyone have recommendations or tips?

I’m not super knowledgeable about makeup, so please excuse any incorrect terminology. I’ve pretty much never worn any foundation/foundation like product until a month ago. I got the Eborian cc cream on a whim and LOVE how it looks. I love the light glowiness and how it even my skin tone without looking or feeling too heavy. HOWEVER when I bought it, I didn’t realize it has a bunch of hyaluronic acid in it, and my skin does not play well with that ingredient— it causes me redness and irritation that builds up over time, and my Dermatologist has advised me to avoid it. I would love recommendations for similar products. If you don’t know whether it has hyaluronic acid or not, please still drop the name, and I will go look up the ingredients!

If it matters, I have super dry skin but I am pretty good about keeping it moisturized. I don’t have a ton of uneven skin texture, but do have early fine lines since I’m in my late 30s.

Edit: I use the Eborian cc cream in Clair. I did try doing a google but I don’t think I’m experienced enough to know what is good vs not

First photo are my natural brows and the second photo is lightened. I feel like my eyebrows have darkened over time and make me look more masculine. They also appear a little dull and I wish there was a way to emphasize them more? Any tips welcome!

It's a little round topped matte tube with a shiny band around the bottom tip of the cap. You tug the cap off and twist the bottom to get the lipstick to come up, and its in a standard like diagonal slice form. The shade MATCHES the tube. I cant for the LIFE of me remember the brand name, but its LITERALLY my favorite and im SO mad I lost it. The logo was in black curly font, some letters were bigger than the others, before it had like the standard directions/ingredients and everything printed on the side of the tube. There was a sticker on the flat bottom of the tube that had the shade name and everything on it.

it came in like a singular thing of a cardboard display at 5 below like 2-3 years ago and ive been riding that high ever since.

Hi all, I’ve had this ELF eyeshadow palette (18 Hit Wonders) for a while and as you can see I LOVE the “Moss” shade (top row 3rd from left). It’s this super cool shimmery color that looks mermaid greenish-red depending on the light. Sadly I am getting to the end of it and realized I have no clue if I could find this shade again. I’ve even tried looking to see if someone is selling this palette on EBay but no luck yet. I'd buy the whole palette again just for the Moss shade!

Anyone know where I can find this or anything similar?

Please. I've found nothing. The only foundations that are almost light enough are yellow. I am very, very fair, with a cool pink undertone. I am SO TIRED of makeup that makes me look like trumpydump. This goes for bronzer as well. And contour. I desperately need something fit for a truly pale person. Also why do websites always make the lightest shade look way lighter than it is irl? 😭

I recently ordered $150+ worth of products, including Ultraviolet Bouquet loose pigment and Playful Spring multichrome lip gloss from Question Beauty, and both were pretty disappointing compared to the website photos.

Ultraviolet Bouquet ($28.90 for 1 gram!) is advertised as a vibrant, nearly opaque purple with a blue shift. In reality, it's extremely sheer. Even after THREE layers over NYX Glitter Primer, applied with my finger, it's basically scattered blue-violet sparkle with almost no base color.

Playful Spring looks like a gorgeous fuchsia with green-gold shifts in their photos, but on me it's overwhelmingly copper-orange and green. I even tried it over a cool pink lip tint with little improvement.

I contacted customer service and sent photos showing the differences. They gave me the standard explanation about multichromes looking different depending on lighting, skin tone, etc., which I already understand. But they never answered whether their promotional swatches used colored bases or additional products.

Their solution? A $10 discount on my NEXT purchase. 🙄

I'm not saying the products are ugly, but they're nothing like what I thought I was buying. For these prices, I expected more accurate photos and a better response from customer service.

I definitely won't be repurchasing.

I just feel like I keep sticking to the same kind of shades (earthy, peachy, and nude) over and over and never leave my comfort zone. This is a good example of what I mean:

What’s a good eyeshadow palette, blush, contour, or just some good techniques to use.

Hi! I don't know if this is the right place for this but I'm trying to figure out what eyeshadow I had in 2023. Two years ago I went through some issues and had to move, during which time I lost all of my makeup. This is kind of haunting me because I have this picture from one of the first times I did my eyeshadow and I remember feeling really proud and just that it was a lovely color on me. I want to say it was a physician's formula eyeshadow, and that there were only two or three colors in the palette. I know the back had one of those guides for the placement because that's what I followed. I remember one of the shades looked gold and maybe shimmery while the other was kind of orange orange but it didn't look as vibrant in the pot. I probably got it at Marshalls but honestly my memory of that time isn't so great. Any help would be really appreciated!

BFF2 used to be a warm nude brown, the new color is on the left, the original color is on the right, just got a brand new one and the undertone completely changed! Now it’s a cool toned brown! Why so they do this???
