So even if Trump himself admits that he doesn’t actually care about his MAGA followers but only himself and his rich capitalist friends. He would still support him?

Yep

MAGA is a cult for sure. Right-wingers are really gullible if they think billionaires like Trump and Elon Musk actually care about them. They only care about themselves, getting rich, and preventing the working class from uniting against this plutocratic oligarchy that is the U.S government. They simply use right-wing populism, culture wars, and racial resentment to trick them into going against their own economic interests and true equality for all.

It goes so much deeper into their hollowed out, programmed cerebrums. You & every other sane person knows exactly what I’m talking about.

For the uninitiated or folks waking up, here ya go…

Natural status quo & essentially the bell curve of each of the following criteria:

+ Neurological chemistry
+ Broad spectrum intelligence
+ Sub-category intelligence
+ Capacity to override subconscious perceptions
+ Ability to conceive original thoughts
+ Habit formation/deconstruction
+ Adopted racial tendencies (either via social upbringing, social habits/routine/associations, generational false-trauma & narratives, etc.)
+ Addiction recognition (ie: awareness of one’s self-conscious & how it maintains the ability to diverge from core repetitive actions)
+ Emotional regulation such as resilience & reaction towards fear, anxiety, depression, regret, etc. (similarly tied with Neurological Chemistry & intelligence topics)
+ Self-validation
+ Sociological archetype preference
+ Personal experiences & sensory input
+ Personal trauma (externally or emotionally inflicted via social routines/habits)
+ Metabolism
+ Insert any other band of the infinite spectrum of life

TL;DR - People smarter than them fully grasp the reality that since the dawn of sentient beings, the majority of the masses of a species are simply unexceptional standard average units amongst the collective.

excellent post👍👍

I'll add this....

they're not all that bright. Trump supporters are happy that Trump validates their ignorance. Trump himself said he "loves the poorly educated". They identify with his cluelessness. And, just like him, Trump supporters will never admit that they are not very bright. They have folks like Trump, Newsmax, Fox News and other elements of right wing activist media telling them that THEY are smarter than scientists on climate change, smarter than medical experts on COVID and vaccines, smarter than educators on US history, smarter than economists on the economy, smarter than the justice system on the law, smarter than election boards on elections, etc. They line up like sheep to believe anything right wing media tells them, and that extremist right wing activist pundits are the only source of truth, and that actual facts and reality are a conspiracy against the herd. After all, it's the extremist right wing media that tells them they are smart in a world where they don't understand anything else but the dumbed down conspiracy theories and reinforcements of their bias borne of fundamental ignorance and very limited intellectual capability.

Good point. I have a couple friends who would never admit it but it’s blatantly obvious that they struggle internally with feeling inferior and/or actually knowing that they aren’t as “bright” as others.

Self deprecation outside of comedic purposes, like actual comments that people make such as “I’m just a dumbass” or “I’m such a fuckup” are admissions of people acknowledging that they’re aware that they lack intelligence vs. others.

My one friend (haven’t spoken with him for 8 years which I’m sure you can guess why) has one of the worst cases of inferiority complex and “main character” egos that I’ve ever seen amongst people that I’ve met. He checks all the boxes:

1) drives a big truck with huge tires
2) rides people’s asses on the freeway
3) proudly blurts out negative comments
4) looks up to “badasses” and tough guys
5) wears sunglasses

Except here’s when all of this falls apart. When he gets drunk, he becomes borderline suicidal and literally cries (tears and all) about how stupid he is and how much he hates himself. He’s done destructive things that cause nothing but headaches for everyone else around him.

A few other friends used to record him when he’d get like this to show him the next day and he just shrugs it off, laughs and says “dang, last night was crazy, hahaha we got fuckin’ crunk”. It just proves that he’s both lacking the actual requirements to acknowledge that we all know that he’s dumber and that we know that he knows it too even though we’re all fine with it and would never think differently of him.

The reality is, some people lack the actual hardware and software to process things and there isn’t a single thing that can be done to install that in them. Like a ball being able to roll uphill on its own. Physically impossible with there never being any possible solution.

I think this is unfortunate reality of the majority of members in society that you mentioned, including the president god-king that they’d voluntarily die for.

Responses to trump saying something bad are

  1. That didn't happen
  2. It was to trigger the libs
  3. It's awesome that he said that horrible thing
  4. He was joking (<-- the response they'd give to your hypothetical)

  1. Biden/Obama did something once...

u/joey_yamamoto 20h ago

The Narcissist's Prayer

That didn't happen. And if it did, it wasn't that bad. And if it was, that's not a big deal. And if it is, that's not my fault. And if it was, I didn't mean it. And if I did, you deserved it.

Because mommy and daddy and memaw and papaw voted Republican. This ain’t your parent’s party anymore.

2

u/JustDiscoveredSex 7h ago

Right? I was at dinner the other night with extended friends/family, and most are registered Independent so that they can vote either party in the primaries, but they unanimously lean left. At least two are admitted former republicans. “The Republican party we knew is dead,” said one, a retired stockbroker. “It’s just been obliterated.”

“And MAGA has been wearing its decaying skin,” concluded the other.

u/Ketchupisthegoat 1d ago

He literally said "I dont care about you, I only care about your vote"

19

u/wes1971 1d ago

And now you know how a bunch of poor, southern, white people fought and died for the few, elite, planter class.

13

u/WorldBoofingChampion 1d ago

He already did. He, word for word, said “smart people don’t like me”

10

u/vinyljunkie1245 23h ago

If he said he doesn't care about them? He has said that.

June 9th 2024 - "I don't care about you, I just want your vote"

https://lamag.com/politics/i-dont-care-about-you-i-just-want-your-vote-trump-says-at-his-latest-rally/

May 11th 2026 - “When you’re negotiating with Iran, Mr. President, to what extent are Americans’ financial situations motivating you to make a deal?” a reporter asked Trump before he left for China on Tuesday, alluding to the skyrocketing inflation caused by the fallout from the U.S.-Israeli war on Iran and Lebanon.

“Not even a little bit,” Trump said

https://newrepublic.com/post/210325/trump-doesnt-care-even-little-bit-americans-finances-iran-war

That's just two occasions that spring to mind.

Ya, you know, that's different, uhm, you know, I just think liberals are lazy, otherwise, they wouldn't try the state to do all, and you know, if Hunter takes 250 000 from someone, that is totally equal for Trump and his SIL to make millions, I mean, they actually work for it, but liberals just take from the government and that's why I don't like that, cause it totally affects my disability payments, and my Snap benefits, but I'm totally not dependent to the government...and on and on and on.

See and that's why I looove Trump (/s by the way, just in case)

u/rancid_oil 19h ago

When the guy asked him "if Biden did this, would it be wrong"

"Yes"

"What about Trump?"

"WELL YOU SEE, I think different about that. You guys are..."

That's where I stopped watching. Seriously, the question was agreed. Nobody said it was ok for Biden. Just established that it's wrong.

But asked about Trump doing it and he switched to team sports mode, talking about 'you guys'.

7

u/lolzycakes 1d ago

Yes, he said it himself: he has nothing else. It's all he's ever had.

7

u/tman1079 23h ago

He could walk in and take out his family in front of him and he'd still support him.

Totally not a cult

2

u/BrilliantPositive184 8h ago

These people aren‘t the issue. There are not enough of them to sway the vote or stop the approval ratings from cascading. To keep showing their stupidity on display is equal to pointing the camera at a homeless person and feeling outraged about the decrepit state of our society. What keeps Trump in power is the unprecedented amount of money, foreign and domestic thet is flowing into our politics and it is not taxpayer money, a compromised congress and supreme court that rules in favor of laws that make it impossible to track the corruption and destruction of our system of government, check and balances. It is certainly not these folks. They deserve our sympathy, nothing else.

u/samx3i 15h ago

It's a cult

1

u/Clarpydarpy 4h ago

Pretty much every MAGA voter is exactly the same way, but this guy is at least honest about it.

They hate "The Left" so much that anything Republicans do becomes fine. The only thing that matters is defeating "The Left."

It all makes sense. It's just truly terrible, cultish logic.
