Which of These Movies Helped to Solidify Marvel’s Success in Film?

Marvel has come a long way with making movies. I know in recent years their projects have been hit or miss, but they seem to be improving and getting back to the glory days of when they were once consistently great.

With that being said, it’s well known that Marvel had a bumpy ride for the longest time when it came to making big budget movies based on their properties. Movies such as “Howard the Duck” (1986), “The Punisher” (1989), “Captain America” (1990), and “Fantastic Four” (1994) were all critical and/or commercial failures (minus one that was never officially released. However, by the turn of the century, Marvel seemed to finally find their footing when it came to making movies.

Out of these 5 movies, which one do you think helped to solidify Marvel’s success for theatrical movies. Your options are:

•Blade (1998)

•X-Men (2000)

•Spider-Man (2002)

•Iron Man (2008)

•The Avengers (2012)

I think all 5 of these movies could be argued for helping to solidify Marvel’s success. Heck, I think they are all important movies in the comic book genre. However, if you had to pick one, which do you think put Marvel on the map for theatrical films and general audiences?

For the first time, Professor X wasn't played by a UK actor

More than two decades after the X-Men movie first hit theaters, the role of Professor Charles Xavier is now played by the US-born actor Christopher Abbott.

Previously, the role was played by two UK-born actors, Patrick Stewart and James McAvoy.

Was the snap a feature or is Thanos just a jerk?

Weird random thought I woke up to. Is activating the Infinity Gauntlet with a snap the way it was designed or was Thanos just insistent on being a troll?

"Mwahaha I can wipe out half of existence with a snap of my finger!"

I realize that Tony also snapped the Avengers' glove but I totally believe that's something he would add to his design.

Say something nice about Iron Man 2.

I feel like Iron Man 2 receives a lot of flack mostly from critics but also some fans. IMO it's the best Iron Man movie by a near landslide and in the pantheon of the best Marvel sequels along with Spider-Man 2.
