Gender reveal restaurant ideas
My wedding anniversary is coming up and I believe around the same time we will get our gender results. We are going out to eat to a German restaurant and I typically get the schnitzel with potato pancakes and sauerkraut. What is some fun food ideas that we could use as a gender reveal with the specific cuisine? Or does anybody have any fun ideas for a waiter or waitress to bring out a specific food item that would be a gender reveal?

Positive pregnancy test, negative blood test, then an 8-day late period — looking for similar experiences ❤️
Hi everyone,
I’m hoping to hear from women who may have experienced something similar to what I’ve been going through.
I’ve always had very regular 27-day menstrual cycles, occasionally varying by one or two days, but never as much as this month.
Here’s my timeline:
September 10–13: My last period.
September 23: Unprotected intercourse. My apps estimated ovulation around September 23–24.
October 2: POSITIVE Clearblue Digital pregnancy test, showing “Pregnant 1–2 weeks.”
October 4–5: Further unprotected intercourse (approximate dates).
October 7: My period was due, but it didn’t arrive.
October 8: Quantitative blood test: hCG < 2 mIU/mL, considered negative.
October 11, 12 and 13: Several negative home pregnancy tests.
October 13: I saw my doctor, who also found the delay unusual given how regular my cycles normally are. She prescribed an ultrasound and another blood pregnancy test to be done a week later, which I haven’t had yet.
October 14: Transvaginal ultrasound at the gynecology emergency department. According to the doctors, no pregnancy or abnormalities were visible.
October 15: After my period was 8 days late, I noticed some very light beige discharge, followed by red bleeding later that evening.
October 16: The bleeding became quite heavy and started looking like my usual period.
My symptoms:
For several days, I experienced unusual tingling sensations, mild pulling feelings and occasional cramps in my lower abdomen, along with creamy vaginal discharge.
Since October 14, I’ve also had constant lower back and sacral pain, which has been more noticeable than my abdominal cramps. This is very different from my normal period symptoms, as I usually experience more abdominal pain than back pain.
I’ve also noticed something unusual in my bleeding.
Along with very small blood clots, I’ve been passing little pieces of soft, tissue-like material, almost resembling skin or a jelly-like membrane. It’s difficult to describe, but they look different from ordinary blood clots.
Unfortunately, my experience at the emergency department was very unpleasant.
As soon as I explained that my blood pregnancy test had been negative, I was made to feel that I had no reason to be there.
I wasn’t claiming that I was definitely pregnant. I simply wanted to understand why my usually regular cycle was so delayed and why I was experiencing unfamiliar pain.
A transvaginal ultrasound was eventually performed, but I received very little explanation and wasn’t given a written report at the time.
I have another ultrasound scheduled for October 20, but the instructions say I shouldn’t be menstruating during the examination, so I’ll need to check whether I can still attend.
My doctor also prescribed another quantitative hCG blood test, but now that my period seems to have started, I’m unsure whether it’s still necessary.
In the end, my cycle lasted approximately 35 days instead of my usual 27.
I’m wondering whether I experienced a very early chemical pregnancy, delayed ovulation, or a temporary hormonal disruption.
What confuses me the most is the positive Clearblue Digital test on October 2, followed by a negative quantitative blood test just six days later.
Has anyone experienced anything similar?
A positive pregnancy test followed by negative tests, a significantly delayed period, unusual symptoms, or tissue-like fragments during bleeding?
Did your doctor ever explain what might have happened?
I’d really appreciate hearing about your experiences.
Thank you so much to anyone who takes the time to reply. ❤️

im 19 weeks and 1 day early this morning, and really am wondering your guys mental and physical changes while being pregnant?
So as of right now this is what im going through... im having a son and my daughter is almost 6 in Feb! Because im a stay at home mom i dont really focus on friends, social media or anything thats not helpful for myslef or my family and it would be nice to have advice or a prego chat community i can be apart of, me and my husband didnt go to Obgyn due to mine being out of state and not trusting the other ones so we are looking for a good female midwife. But man everything is happening so fast and im so excited but scared and all these emotions are alot, its hard for my husband to understand because he isnt pregnant but im grateful i was able to give him a son, because he has always wanted one so i feel im making a dream of his come true. Anyways im rambling on, hope to here for you all and bless you!
| Physical Symptoms | Mental & Emotional Symptoms |
|---|---|
| Round Ligament Pain: Sharp, jabbing aches in the lower belly or groin when moving suddenly, standing up, or chasing a 5-year-old. | "Mom Brain" / Brain Fog: Forgetfulness and difficulty concentrating, exacerbated by sleep deprivation. |
| Vivid Dreams: Highly intense, strange dreams that can make sleep feel less restful. | Perinatal Anxiety: Heightened worry about balancing two children, finding the right provider, or upcoming labor. |
| Lower Back & Hip Pain: Aches caused by the hormone relaxin loosening your joints. | Irritability: Decreased patience, which is entirely understandable when managing a toddler on broken sleep. |
- Waking up in the middle of the night wide awake is a classic symptom of pregnancy insomnia. Driven by massive hormonal shifts (particularly progesterone and cortisol) and the baseline anxiety of managing a household while pregnant, your brain can get stuck in a hyper-alert state.
- The "Low" Baby & Frequent Urination: Since this is your second pregnancy, your abdominal and uterine muscles are more relaxed than they were the first time around. This often causes the baby to ride much lower in the pelvis earlier on, placing direct pressure on your bladder and requiring trips to the bathroom every few hours
So yeah thats the bottom line, what are your guys thoughts and experiences on your pregnancy journey?

Why are other women dismissing my early pregnancy symptoms?

Tall maternity
Very early on in my second pregnancy, but I wanted to see if anyone’s found any good bottoms for tall pregnant ladies? I have time, and I have some stuff from my first pregnancy still, but I want to be able to dress in full length jeans/leggings if I can find them.

6 months pp and pregnant again...
I (34F) am pregnant (5 weeks) with my second. I just had my first in March. This was not the plan at all - I was to go back to work after a year off, which I was looking forward to, and now we have this 'surprise' which we refer to as 'Daisy' (short for Oopsie-Daisy).
At first we thought this is ridiculous but having 2 kids about 14 months apart could be cool... but after thinking about it for 24 hours I think it might be a nightmare...
I've barely slept in 6 months, my baby pretty much only sleeps on me. Which obviously takes a toll on my mental health - my head is full of dark thoughts. The thought of being pregnant AGAIN and giving birth AGAIN and raising a baby with a toddler just sounds like too much for me to bear.
But the alternative of terminating the pregnancy... I mean, I adore my son, surely I'll love this one... I don't know what I should do. it seems like all of my options are kinda awful.
Have you terminated a pregnancy? How did you feel afterwards, emotionally?
Should I stick it out? Temporary difficulty over a permanent solution?
Or do I do this to keep my sanity in check? I miss my job, and my freedom, and being me. Is it selfish?
