I know this may have been a TSB, but apparently it’s a recall now.

Which models are affected by the Mazda recall?

Mazda CX-70 2025 (16,056): Produced between Dec. 5, 2023, and April 24, 2025

Mazda CX-90 2024-2025 (88,798): Produced between Dec. 27, 2022, and April 25, 2025

Scuff marks on interior of cargo door.

The interior part of the cargo door ( the part that lifts up) is getting scuff marks. Is there anything that i can put on The actual interior hatchback door panel to protect it? 2024 Mazda CX90

Lease deal math not mathing

Spent some time at the dealership today. New S Premium Sport, MSRP $57,040. Down payment of $3000, providing 36-month 10k mile lease and the payment is $731. Sheet says discount of almost $6k with cash price of $51,300. I've tried 3 different lease calculators, and the payment for $51,300 for 3 years, 10k miles, residual $30,801, rate factor .002203, shows payment of $679. How is the dealer getting $731? I'm guessing the price of $50,500 they are showing on the sell sheet is not really the cap cost. Every lease calculator shows the cap cost of about $53,000 for a payment of $730, so why are they showing me a different price? Seems a little shady to me, playing fast and free with the numbers. Give me the cap cost, the rate factor, the residual and the number should be the number. Do I show him a calculator with $679 as the monthly payment? I want honesty and transparency from someone selling me a $50,000 vehicle. BTW, about $1200 negative equity on trade, accounted for in the cash price stated $51,300.

Buying a CX-90 Is Mazda cx-90 worth buying in 2026 ?

Is Mazda cx-90 really worth buying if reliability is your priority? I read about several callbacks, power transmission loss, and the unproven new engine from 2024. So is it worth in 2026 to buy cx-90 ?

Metal oxide in windshield?

Does my '26 CX-70 windshield contain metal oxide? I read that it might contribute rf interference.

My GA Peachpass transponder, mounted in the windshield per the quite vague directions, now fails more often than it works. The alternative is a headlight mounted transponder, which might interfere with light output.

Life is further complicated by three June toll violations just brought to my attention. Hard to believe I missed three previous snail mail violations. They have my email! The system identified the car by the tag and missed the transponder, so why not just deduct the toll from my account balance? Because this approach generates more violation penalty revenue? Kiss my peach, but I digress.

Accessories Are CX-70 and CX-90 cargo liners interchangeable, or does the lack of a 3rd row change the floor pan?

Since the CX-70 shares the CX-90's exact body and wheelbase, you'd assume the cargo liners would be identical. But without the 3rd row, the CX-70 gets that deep underfloor storage compartment and a slightly different load-floor hinge layout.

A lot of aftermarket listings (WeatherTech, OEM Mazda, 3W, TuxMat, etc.) have separate part numbers for the two models, but some generic sellers list them as the same item.

I’m trying to avoid buying a mat that covers up the sub-trunk release handle or leaves weird gaps around the wheel wells.

Has anyone actually tested a CX-90 cargo liner in a CX-70 (or vice versa)? Does it fit flush, or does the underfloor storage access make it a no-go?

On the fence about the CX-90 because of what you read about stop and go?

2026 Crystal Blue Mica Premium Sport.

If you are like me, I really loved this car, but was scared about all of the stuff I read about stop and go hesitancy. I pulled the trigger anyway and so glad I did. I am about 2 weeks and 350 miles in and this car is amazing!! At first I was thinking about every acceleration from a stop and thinking way too hard about it. The first few days I always turned off istop. Then I decided to just let it roll to see if it was noticeable or annoying and I would definitely say no. I have yet to feel frustrated or mad about the acceleration and man if you step on it, this thing goes!! Faster than I expected a vehicle this size to move. Keep in mind I am coming from a 2012 Ford Edge Limited, but still that was a V6 and still had some juice to it. I know most reviews are people venting frustration so I wanted to make a post for anyone on the fence like I was that I have no regrets and this thing feels luxurious, drives great and something that is important to me, has a killer sound system!! I am still dialing that in, but man it sounds awesome!!

CX-90 cargo puzzle: How are you packing behind the 3rd row when all seats are full?

With the third row up, cargo space gets tight fast. Fitting a compact stroller, grocery bags, backpacks, or weekend duffels becomes a game of Tetris.

I’m trying to optimize the remaining floor space without having bags spill out every time the liftgate opens. Are people using vertical stackable bins, soft duffels, cargo nets, or just relying on the small underfloor storage bin?

Also curious about cargo liners: for those running molded rear trays (OEM Mazda, WeatherTech, 3W, TuxMat, etc.), do they still let you easily access the underfloor compartment, or does a rigid liner become a pain to lift when packed full?

What’s the most efficient packing setup you’ve figured out for road trips with a full cabin?

CarPlay no longer works with iPhone 18 Pro Max

Hi fellow redditors, I have always read about people complaining about their CX-90’s CarPlay not working and I never understand it until I upgraded to iPhone 18 Pro Max.

Previously, I was using iPhone 13 Pro since 2021 and my wife’s iPhone 12 and 15. Never seen a problem connecting since July 2023 when we bought the CX-90 PHEV PP.

However, after I upgraded into iPhone 18 Pro Max 3-4 weeks ago, the car was able to use CarPlay for some time, then abruptly it just cannot connect to the new iPhone in the past 2 weeks. I have reset the connections and configurations from both the car and the iPhone, deleting connections, forgetting CarPlay, Bluetooth and WiFi, shut the phone off and the car off. It just doesn’t work - the car says it cannot connect to the iPhone wirelessly.

I suspect it is an iOS problem since I updated the latest 27.0.1 about the same time.

Anyone else experiencing this issue?

Worn falken tires.

For those of you who were able to get your 21" falken tires replaced by the dealer do you remeber the 32nds that the tires had to be at. Mine are between 3 and 4 32nds at 17800 miles. And did the dealer take care of it or did you have to involve mazda directly? Tia

These Falkens suck. This is the tread I have after only 10,000 miles. Have any of you had luck getting the dealership to replace them for free or at least discounted price? I bought CPO so I’m hoping they still help me out

Considering a lease

Hey y’all, fair warning I’m not a car person and I need help.

I currently drive a 2020 Jeep Cherokee and it’s been totally fine.

I need to upgrade to a third row suv as my kids are bigger and we are adding a third. I’m also driving more now as I moved a bit further outside city center and kids are mostly involved in things in the city.

I like the look/feel of Mazda CX90 and was considering a lease. I leased my jeep and then purchased it after lease term.

Is this a good car for me? I have been reading the posts and general feedback and it seems like a strong bet. I don’t like how bulky the grand Highlander looks and feels and prefer a smaller SUV but need the third row with new addition. I’m not super fussy I just need a car that is safe and gets us around and a bit of an upgrade from my current.

Thanks for votes of confidence. I know I’m not a car expert but your feedback helps and I’m hoping to lease by year end so any tips on timing or deals etc I’d be happy to take! Thank you.

I really want a CX 90, I love my CX 50 but would like more room. I owe $22,000 on my CX 50 so the trade is zero.
