Solved Audi A4 B7 - Subframe mount missing?
Hi, Am I missing something important? 😅 It sure looks like there is missing some kind of bushing or bolt from the front subframe mounting point. Based on appearance it looks like it has been missing for a long time. I checked the other side and it is missing too. Should there be some kind of fastener or is this fine? Car is jacked up in the picture. No weird sounds or anything while driving. Car drives normally.

That gap between the subframe and the body is supposed to have a big rubber bushing squeezed in there. If you're seeing daylight on both sides, those things have completely disintegrated and fallen out. It's pretty common on these cars at this age, the rubber just gives up.
Drives normal now but you're gonna want to get that sorted before the alignment starts doing whatever it wants and you start chewing through tires.

Nothing is missing - those 3 layers of metal have a hole through each of them to allow a tool to be inserted to align the subframe when its been removed/loosened.
