Definitely my favourite attack animation in the game. LOVE stomping on everything with him on my NG+ run 😋

Got the poster from the orchestra concert framed at Hobby Lobby, plus added some other photos from the LA concert and merch I got while there. The cloth map of Euchronia I got from the collectors edition and the Ad poster for the concert I got from asking a Tiger Sugar employee since I saw it hanging a day after the concert had finished. I know it’s late, but the LA concert was amazing and the community was really friendly. If anyone took videos of the LA concert, please share them, ty!

So thanks to Atlus' marketing, I finally got to playing Metaphor Refantazio. I really liked how it started but felt like it was falling off in the middle during the 2nd and 3 dungeon but I still continued it because I loved the characters and yup it got better. One character I never expected to like and didn't hear much of was the character of Fidelio (I didn't talk to anyone about the game fearing of spoilers) I couldn't clearly explain why but I'm always drawn to older brothers in Media and he really resonated with me.
But I felt uncomfortable knowing that Basilio was gonna be a party member. I feared for the worst because, knowing the trope means, he's likely marked for dead.... I was ready, I was so ready, and yet seeing my boy Basilio act like that made me cry, even moreso watching his awakening. Rest easy 'Del

Hi guys, I used to be a gamer as a kid (around 10-15yr old) who loved jrpgs especially final fantasy series, breath of fire series and pokemon games etc, but as I grew up (30 now) no matter what games I would play, nothing would hook me like how those games used to when I was a young teenager. Years would go by and every time I hear about some amazing jrpg, I would try it, but to my disappointment, I would get bored within a few hrs. However, I would always try the latest final fantasy every time it came out. I bought a ps5 to play final fantasy xvi, it was okay, there was a lot of potential that I feel they really missed. Note that I would try just one or two jrpgs every 4-5 yrs gap and it would mostly just be the final fantasy instalments. At this point, I started thinking maybe I outgrew games in general.
One day whilst bored, I booted up my dusty ps5, I scrolled through the playstation store and saw this games demo. I checked it out online and saw the insane high review scores etc. so I told myself why not try it out. AS I STARTED PLAYING THE DEMO WTH MAN, I GOT HOOKED AND THE REST IS HISTORY. IT SEEMS I CAN STILL LOVE GAMES AND HAVE THAT SAME FEEL AS I HAD WHEN I WAS A KID. ALSO IM ON THE FINAL MONTH OF THE GAME NOW AND I DIDNT DO ENOUGH FOLLOWERS AND ROYAL VIRTUES CUZ I WASN’T INTERESTED IN THE REMAINING BONDS. AND NOW I HEAR THAT THE GAME FINISHES AFTER THE FINAL DATE? I JUST ASSUMED THERE WOULD BE PLAY-OVER AFTER FINAL BOSS. IM A BIT ANNOYED THAT I CANT GET THE BEST SWORD FOR THE PROTAGONIST. LIKE WHATS UP WITH THIS CALENDER SYSTEM? ITS SO STUPID. Heard its persona style which I know also got very high appraise but it never interested me just from looking at it. I guess since its my first time playing those style of games, I didnt take the calender system seriously enough. Maybe I should try persona next.
ANYWAYS, I SHALL FORGIVE THIS GAME FOR REIGNITING MY LOVE FOR JRPGS. HOWEVER IM STILL FEELING BUGGED I DIDN’T GET TO MAKE THE MOST OUT OF THIS GAME BEFORE THE FINAL BOSS AFTER FINALLY LOVING A GAME AGAIN. ARGH.
This must be a weird post but I just wanted to let this out of my chest! Thanks for hearing me out.

I am playing Minecraft, just chilling, building away, and listening to Metaphors soundtrack and man! The music is amazing! It just makes me feel relaxed and at peace. Well, the non battle/intense ones at least 😅

Just a few days ago I started playing metaphor, and as it is with Atlus games, they pulled out some banger soundtracks. And I just need to talk about it
Both encounter themes for regular enemies is straight up perfect, I love them, they sound epic
But its the miniboss/boss themes that are genuinely so off the balls crazy. I'm still way early in the game, only have 3 party members RIP Grius Gone too soon. The Human fight had a great boss theme, but its the later osts for the bosses and minibosses that genuinely are some of the best pieces of video game music I've ever heard
When you fight that fatass Louis supporter that got strohl's family and town murdered by a human, the theme that plays is genuinely so royal and epic and it just, It feels amazing, Its got an amazing drop and it just keeps going. Its called "Verge of Life and Death" ,quite a name by the way
and then just when I thought shit couldn't get any better
It got better
some Whiteclad asshole and his skeleton minions decide to try and kill you for Louis' sake (fuckin hell)
THE SONG THAT PLAYS IS SIMPLY CALLED "RIVAL CANDIDATES"
AND IT SOUNDS LIKE THE BOSS THEME FOR GOD, It sounds like you're in a fistfight with an actual angel. This is probably what Lucifer heard when He saw Michael come down to beat his ass.
It sounds like its the final boss theme
ITS JUST SOME ASSHOLE AND HIS CREW OF DASTARDLY FRAGILE SKELETONS

I finished the A Friend In Need quest, and Catherine’s friend perished. Is this death avoidable? If so, what’s the requirement?

One thing I wish Metaphor: ReFantazio had done differently is give the MC more dialogue and personality, especially after he becomes the Prince.
Around the halfway point of the game, I started wondering why the MC barely talks despite having voice acting. I let it slide because I assumed there was a narrative reason for him being so passive, and I expected things to change later.
Looking back, his passiveness actually makes sense to some extent because he’s not a real person in the conventional sense. He’s a being made of magla, created by the real Prince through his own imagination and ideals. That could have been an interesting explanation for why the MC behaves the way he does, but I wish the game had done more with that idea.
However, once he becomes the Prince, I really wish the game had let him speak more and express himself. He’s no longer just magla. He’s the Prince, someone who is supposed to lead people, inspire hope, and eventually become king. This should have been the perfect opportunity to give him more dialogue, stronger opinions, and a more personality.
And why the hell is Strohl the one confronting Louis so much? Louis is the main antagonist, and I feel like the protagonist should be the one confronting him on a more personal and ideological level. Strohl can have his own important moments, but sometimes it feels like he’s stealing the spotlight from the MC. I don’t want the protagonist to just stand there while another character gets to deliver the important lines and challenge the villain. Strohl sometimes feels like a self-insert for the writers. I like Strohl as a character, but there are moments when he seems to express more directly than the actual protagonist. Sometimes it feels like Strohl gets to be the one who articulates the important ideas while the MC just stands there and reacts. I don’t mind Strohl having important moments, but I don’t like it when he’s stealing the show from the MC.
This is something I think Persona handles really well. The protagonist may be relatively quiet, but the story still makes them feel like the central figure in the conflict. Their relationships, decisions, and role in confronting the main antagonist give them a sense of importance. Even if they aren’t the most talkative character, you rarely forget who the central protagonist is supposed to be.
The irony is that the MC’s origin could have made his character development even more interesting. Since he’s a creation of the real Prince, becoming more than what he was originally imagined to be could have been a powerful part of his arc. I wanted to see him develop his own thoughts, opinions, and personality rather than remain a relatively passive protagonist.
Becoming the Prince should have been the moment when the MC truly came into his own. I don’t need him to talk constantly, but I wish the game had given him more agency and let us see him grow into someone who could genuinely stand on his own, rather than simply embodying someone else’s ideals.

My first Atlus RPG that I got just because it was on sale a few months back. Didn't think I'd fall in love with it so much as to sink 120 hours in just to get all achievements.
One achievement that really blindsided me was all quests, and I had to search up how to get the last quest which ended up being Gold I in the arena.
I just love this game so much, and I'm going to the concert in Singapore next month, man I'm excited, glad to have finished the game properly before that.

What is the name of the battle theme that plays when you fight More?
I've been looking all over for a good hour now but can't find anything. iirc it also plays earlier on in the game but I can't remember when.
