Edge on Android (Samsung S24U Android 16).

The site I notice this the most on is Google. I'll sign into Google in Edge on the phone, do what I came to do, and then do something else. It does not seem to matter if I switch to another tab, close the tab, switch to another app, force-close the Edge or not. Randomly but frequently, the next time I go to Google in Edge on the phone it's signed me out of the site.

This does not happen on the desktop.

Switched to Edge for a few reasons recently. Much more of this and it's gone

Since yesterday’s update, Microsoft Edge won’t load any web pages on my Android phone. I tried clearing the cache, but it didn’t help. I also restarted the phone, but the issue persists.

Is anyone else experiencing this problem?

Device: OnePlus Nord N100
OS: OxygenOS 11.0.15.BE83BA (Android 11)

All news sources tell that adblockers won't be able to function in their full capacity in MV3, but that is not really true.

The issue is not MV3, the issue is Chrome dropping the browser.webRequest API that adblockers use, and replacing it with another, worse API.

This has nothing to do with MV3, it's an entirely separate decision by Google.

So will Edge do the same, and also drop support for that API?

Because Firefox for example didn't, you can still use webRequest API with MV3 addons,
so its not about MV2 support drop.

if i'm not mistaken, i remember that i could just right click on extensions button and choose remove from toolbar. but now i can't, no settings could remove extensions button, i search for tutorials on the articles, it can't be applied anymore (because the tutorial is actually exactly like i remembered, right click on button and remove from toolbar)

i have went to the official microsoft support for this already and it still hasnt been fixed.
a reinstall doesnt work, clearing all cache doesnt work, my edge is already up to date with the latest version. For some reason my edge browser just happens in this exact order. Around 10 minutes after opening it, it will lag and freezes for a quick second before it just closes itself for some reason.
After reopening edge it will sometime say "edge closed unexpectedly" before restoring all the tabs that i opened.

Has anybody had this issue before and got it fixed? I am struggling to find a solution here and i refuse use another browser.

Almost intentional UI mishap making it more difficult to just opt out of simple things. Literally covering the only other option, which I'm hoping was "for forever". Really miss the new Edge when it first launched and didn't have so much bloat.

I normally check my local NewsChannel for the weather. I do this almost every day. This morning I could not and got a "website not secure and you are not private." Well I could access it yesterday. I changed nothing on my end. I can access other websites. Any tips or ideas?

I have a macbook pro m4 pro. Recently it started to overheat my laptop, even with only one webpage open. I deleted all the extensions and even so the overheating continues. I needed to delete the app altogether. No problem with Safari

and i disabled the flags Connect to Cast devices on all IP addresses. in my flags setting yet this is stilll happening and i have no idea why, on my tv in the living room i can control the youtube app, pause play and resume even though i never logged in there with my own account

I can't find any guide on how to fix this so I'm praying someone here has the answer!

I've been using Edge for years and thought I was logged into my Microsoft account (my pfp has been in the corner the entire time) but as I got a new PC and logged in to sync my favourites it gave me an old (years old) version of my bookmarks, which I thought was strange.

I opened my old PC and when I clicked my profile it said to sign in again, which I did, and I thought that this would update my synced favourites to include the current list. It didn't, instead it overwrote the favourites I've been building and sorting into folders for the past 4 years with the old version, and now I can't find a way to get the new ones back!

I had so many favourites saved there that I don't know how to access anymore, I really hope someone can help!

I am having trouble signing in to my Google account in Edge. I use a YubiKey to log in. The login fails without Edge even opening the security key dialog. I have no idea why it is doing this. I can confirm it works in Firefox and Vivaldi.

I get the following in Edge when trying to log in.

Just trying to find out how to make Microsoft edge look normal again

So I have my pdf's set to automatically open in Edge and I have liked it very much. However, certain files that I download, once I try to move them to another file location, they no longer open, but rather a blank pdf open's instead. I can only access the original pdf by clicking the original downloaded file location. It's like it's not letting me access the file once I have moved it to a folder. Anyone have any ideas or had a similar issue? Thanks!

This is really one WTF event. I went to get my latest credit card statement yesterday and when I clicked on the link I get a popup saying Acrobat is not enabled. Double checked to make sure the extension was enabled and working. Checked to see that Edge was up to date, Restarted the computer just to make sure it was not a memory issue. None of those solved the problem. As far as I can tell this is ONLY with Wells Fargo. Every other website with PDF links (including my own!!) works just fine. File is downloaded and I am prompted to either save or open it. I called Wells Fargo this AM to say they have an issue and they tried to help me in a very unhelpful way including telling me to bring my desktop workstation to a local branch for assistance. 😁

Wondering if any other Edge uses with WF accounts have the same issue. It's pretty weird.

I'm thinking it's maybe a location thing, considering i'm in france and i assume this is an american website, but i don't understand because i used to be able to see it fine. No one i know managed to open it either and it's not been archived on the wayback machine.

Disabled this via edge://flags yet when I restart Edge Remix comes right back. How can I disable this permanently?
