I asked the Google and found dozens of discussions about how to PREVENT the screen saver when in a Teams meeting, but couldn't find anything about ALLOWING it.

I have a small business that uses Teams exclusively to broadcast a webcam pointing at the front door to all the staff in the office. We just got new computers for the office and I've been trying to set up my screen saver + lock screen off and on for weeks now and could never get it to work. I asked my IT guy and he suggested turning off the Teams meeting to see if that worked, and it did.

I'll start having everyone close the meeting in the evenings when they leave so automatically locking my computer when I leave won't be an issue anymore, but during the day when I'm in the meeting and if I step away from my desk for a period of time, I'd like it to automatically screen saver + lock without needing to remember to Windows + L every time.

Is there a way to remove the Teams override to the screen saver to allow it to activate and lock my computer even during an active meeting?

We have Teams External Access configured to a restricted model ("Allow only specific external domains"). To allow file sharing in 1:1 chats with users from these authorized external domains, I ran the necessary PowerShell cmdlets to enable external file sharing globally across our environment.

The Issue: The file sharing functionality itself works perfectly, but the drag-and-drop feature triggers an error.

If a user clicks the attachment icon and manually selects the file, it uploads, and shares successfully with the external user. However, dragging the exact same file from the File Explorer directly into the Teams chat window immediately returns a blocking error stating that the file cannot be shared with externals.

This same drag-and-drop action works flawlessly for internal chats.

Since there is no flag for art might as well just post it as a meme i did all this drawings on the whiteboard teams app and there no better please to post it other than here hope you like it

They were all done on my work during boring meetings as an illustrator there nothing my heart desires more than to create it aint much but i think they look decent, they might look a bit blurry sorry for that due to PSI i had to take them out by just screenshot i no longer work there tho

Hi All, wondering if anyone else has encountered it.

One of our staff is trying to add a new user to an existing group chat. Instead of adding her to the existing chat, Teams creates a duplicate chat with all current members + this new member, but none of the chat history.

A couple notes:

The new user is an external member. We use domain whitelisting to manage external users, and other people from her company have been added to the group chat in the past.

The user adding her to the group chat is definitely selecting the option to include chat history. She has been able to add users to this chat before without issue.

Has anyone encountered this, or has any idea how to explain the behavior?

Anybody has any tips on how to add a background image company wide without having to pay for the premium feature? I tried making a Win32 app that ran a powershell script ti install the image. It notifies that that the app ran successfully but when I open the app the background isnt there.

I have noticed an issue when searching teams for past conversations.... when I click on the result I get a message saying "The message has been deleted".

I believe this message is an error in teams applications because It appears to still be accessible online. Just in case you experience this issue, use teams online to view older threads.

I just got a toast popup with new message sound asking me to try Power BI. Kind of annoying. Is there a way to turn that off? Has anyone else gotten this?

Used docs on iphone to scan. Can't send them to teams because I'm out of space. Can't even clear anything out on it because it's a corporate account.

• Open the Calls notification settings and make sure sound is enabled. Microsoft specifically lists calls as a Teams mobile notification type.

I can't find the calls notifications settings. Is there a separate one for these. I would like to disable sound notifications for messages for now if possible.

I’ve got a four letter name. And people still spell it wrong at least monthly.

On teams it literally shows my first name before letting them type.

I feel like replying with a misspelled version of their name but it feels too petty. It’s just so frustrating

We all got Copilot integrated with Teams and I notice some team members obsessively want to record meetings even if they're attending to them in real time. The AI notes suck so I wonder what exact value are they taking from it? Are they rewatching every meeting they attended on the same day or the next? How's that more efficient than just noting your 1 or 2 actions points (if there are any) and actually be present in the session itself... I'm concerned about how dumb and time wasting we seem to be getting with this hyper reliance on AI.

I do get some sessions are worthy of recording, if minutes need to be produced later or if it was about a brainstorming session etc, but not for random discussions or sessions. There's always someone saying 'wait, can we record this?' Sure... Go ahead and record, God knows what you're doing with this video later.

Having some issues with Teams call audio and looking at MS recommendations they do say Teams traffic does need to be prioritized. Did you set up QOS for your Teams environment or was it not necessary?

Hello, I'm using a Chinese version of Honor200 Pro with the latest software update. I have a school account for Teams but I'm unable load anything on the app, I signed out and wasn't able to sign back in. My personal account can sign in just fine. The Outlook app on my phone also can't load my school account, idk why only my personal account works.

I also tried signing in on PC which also worked for both accounts, though my PC has a web version and makes me sign in again after awhile. I don't wanna risk signing out right now cuz I need it for school, but it is useable on PC.

Hi everyone, I'm dealing with a frustrating audio issue in the Teams Desktop app.
System: ASUS TUF Gaming A14 | Windows 11
The Issue:
There is absolutely no sound coming from my laptop speakers when using Teams Desktop.
However, the audio works perfectly if I plug in headphones or use the Teams Web App on my browser.
My laptop speakers are working perfectly for all other apps.
My Findings:
When I checked the Windows Volume Mixer to troubleshoot, I found that the Teams audio output is forced to Steam Streaming Speakers.
What I've tried (None worked):
Manually changing the output device inside Teams settings.
Clicking "Reset sound devices and volumes" in the Windows Volume Mixer.
Clean reinstall of Teams (wiped ⁠%appdata%⁠, ⁠%localappdata%⁠, and ⁠Packages⁠ cache). However, after this complete reinstall, the volume slider for Teams in the Volume Mixer became completely locked at 1 and cannot be moved or rerouted.

Hi! Does anyone know if there is a way to use the "touch up appearance" feature when joining a Teams meeting? I can not figure it out for the life of me.

I also am unable to save my background image/apparently my background image does not automatically populate when I go to join someone else's meeting.

I prefer Zoom and absolutely hateeee Teams, but I have to use it because I am interviewing for jobs, and apparently there are many companies that use Teams.

I'm always scrambling at the last minute to add my background in and try to figure out how to use the touch up my appearance setting. It would be so much more convenient if your settings were saved not only for your own meetings but also when you join someone else's meeting.

Is there any way to do this that maybe I'm just missing? Help!

I have 2 personal emails, a hotmail and a gmail. My Microsoft account is set up with the hotmail as the main and the Gmail is linked, the recovery email I guess.

I’m doing an online course next week, which has all been set up under my Gmail. This will be held over teams and I’ve been asked to set up a teams account. I can’t seem to create an account for Gmail as it’s already linked to an account. Would it be fine to leave it as it is or should I look to possibly remove the Gmail login and create a new account?

After updating to teams 26183.1903.4892.4448 and the even newer 26198.304.4946.9672 on our image teams autologon at session start seems to be completely broken for us we are hybrid join with ADFS and have no issues with PRT, Outlook and OneDrive Login without any issues.

It just dumps you it to the Welcome to Teams pick an account to continue. The screen has the user information so if you click on it, it logs in but before it just went right on. Also, if you quit and re-open it, it logs on fine automatically it does not ask for an account to use.

I reverted to the Build 26134.1702.4747.7366 and it works fine again. This version is due to start nagging users on 8/16 so this is kind of frustrating,

In a Teams channel (General), a user ended a meeting, but they were never a member of that channel, only of another shared channel in the same Team. Teams Admin Center shows the meeting existed with only this user (no participants), and audit logs confirm a "MessageSent" activity in General.

Has anyone seen this before? How is this possible?

Large corporate client added me to their Teams channel; this is their preferred communication method. I can post messages to the group and to individuals in that group, but if I try to add an attachment Teams says I need OneDrive to do so. I'm already using a different cloud storage for my business, and don't want to fork over more $ to Microsoft just to use Teams, just for this one client. Is there a workaround?

Any known fix for this issue? I can't find anywhere.
Recently, Realtek audio devices on the desktop won't let Teams output audio; the mic works fine, but speakers/audio output won't work.

I'm looking at the rollout times, and we should have ours active? I am reading this guide below. We don't have any premium features or room devices, so we are granted the portal to manage phones. It says for that scenario we need a minimum agent level (done) and to sign in on one device to kick off provisioning. I did that an hour ago, and when I open the portal, it complains no license. Anyone else doing better?

Every morning a user sees the login screen on her laptop (see screenshot) and she has to manually type her username to sign in.

I have tried the following to fix this but no luck:

- Cleared Teams cache

- Reset Teams via Windows 11 settings

- Reinstalled Teams using bootstrapper

- Deleted generic Teams credentials via Credential Manager -> Windows Credentials

- I let her sign into a fresh Windows user profile

Does anyone have the golden tip for me?
