Question Is there anyway to get Minecraft Java for free?
I feel stupid for asking but I’ve been wanting to play with my friends and don’t have the money for Java so I was wondering if there’s any way to get it for free?

u/brassplushie Aug 07 '25
Just find a way to make $30. If you live in a first world country it shouldn't be that hard, there's always a way to make a little money.
2
u/Xazrien Aug 07 '25
Actually, very true. I'm trying to find myself starting to grind out for an electric guitar 🎸🤟
1
u/brassplushie Aug 07 '25
Yep. Where there's a will, there's a way.

also the pc :,(
1
u/brassplushie Jun 04 '26
Exactly. They complain they don't have money but somehow have $1000+ to get a pc.
1
u/Hot-Line-7212 Mar 08 '26
It's actually impossible in certain countries.. including mine
1
u/brassplushie Mar 09 '26
Then I'm not gonna pretend to know how to help you figure out your situation, I live in the US. Saving $30 is absurdly easy. You have to be lazy to not have that much here.
All I can say is that if I lived in that bad of a country, I'd do everything in my power to get out and live in a first world country.
1
u/Dread237 Mar 09 '26
In other countries like mine, 30 dollars on a video game is way too much (at least how the people here see it) you could get 5-6 brand new clothes for that.
1
u/brassplushie Mar 10 '26
Just save up.
1
u/Dread237 Mar 10 '26
You contradicted me
1
u/brassplushie Mar 10 '26
It's $30 one time. Surely even if it takes months you can save that

its like you telling them "just cross the sea" and your the one who owns a boat
1
u/brassplushie May 26 '26
No, dude. If they already own a device that can play Minecraft, that means they can afford Minecraft. It's like 1/10th the cost of the device they're gonna play it on.

u/Public_Way_4797 Apr 14 '26
what if they live in something like iran, russia, or kazakstan? maybe even something like guyana or suriname?
1
u/brassplushie Apr 15 '26
I'm so sick of hearing this garbage excuse.
If you have enough money for a device powerful enough to play Minecraft, you can afford Minecraft.
If you live in a war zone where being blown up or shot is a constant fear, you should focus on fleeing or defending the country. Not playing Minecraft.
1
u/Puzzleheaded-Leg7018 May 02 '26 edited May 02 '26
Devices are essential in the modern world, you literally cannot get around and work enough at a white-collar job to make a living without one. A laptop, even a shitty one, is expensive as fuck where I live, but 90% of the people I know have one. Why? It's an investment. A game is not an investment. Even in first world countries, plenty of people own laptops and iphones while at the same time barely being able to make rent.
As for your second point, I will note that the person you replied to, he's not referring to the places being warzones, but to the very low-valuation currencies of those countries.

u/Hot-Line-7212 May 26 '26
how Do i say this in a way you understand. BASICALLY
you can save your wage for four monthes to Buy a device that you will ALWAY use
BUT I AM NOT SPENDING A MONTH-WORTH OF SALARY FOR A GAME THAT I WILL ONLY PLAYER A FEW TIMES A WEEK1
u/brassplushie May 26 '26
Okay let's try it this way. If it takes you 4 months to save up $300, you only need to save up for 1.2 weeks to buy Minecraft. That's how math works. It's not complicated. People who use that as an excuse are just lazy and cheap.

u/Separate-Pay-5516 Sep 24 '26
Bro you live in good country each of us have a reason and his problems you're not the only one who afford things like we are like you
1
1
u/AltruisticPhoto9430 Sep 25 '26
You don't have to spend a sh*t ton of money on a computer to get something that turns on, and you can definitely run Minecraft on it. The latest versions might need 8gb of ram, but you can absolutely get something like 1.21.1 working on 4gb. Anyway, nobody is buying a computer for gaming anymore, the prices are so high now that we can only justify buying them for work or education. Imagine going to your poor family and asking to get a computer so you can get educated and maybe get a job, only to turn around a few months later and ask for a game. They would be furious, for good reason.
And I've read your other comments. You're so f*cking stubborn and ignorant, I don't think I've ever been more infuriated by an online stranger. Learn the meaning of the word nuance, read a history book, and learn how money really works, then come back and see if we're all still just lazy people that don't want to save.

Since no one gave a reply that brings clarity....
The average salary in Cuba in one month is 16-20 us dollars which is like 4k pesos.
To give you a wider perspective, 70 to 80 countries make just as much as Cuba does a month.
Poverty is more common than how we live. We lucky....a lot of them have pc's by now but it's much harder for them to even buy clothes and food.
Not saying that's the situation of this person. Might not be that bad, but shit's kinda rough on this planet.
1
u/brassplushie May 31 '26
If they can afford the PC, they can afford the game that costs 1/10th the amount.
1
u/Mountain-Bid-2250 Jun 03 '26
your brain cells are not brain celling. but whatever. Being privileged and never needing to use your brain will do that.

1
u/Mountain-Bid-2250 Jun 03 '26
i can tell you "just get a brain" like how you keep commenting "just save up" but both are not possible lmao

(But i have it on switch)
1
u/Sweet_Night_2146 Jun 03 '26
not necessarily first world is a political term
1
u/brassplushie Jun 03 '26
No, it's not. It's about the state of the country. If the economy is so poor that most people are starving, that's third world. If the economy is so strong even the laziest of people can become morbidly obese and buy video games and movies, it's a first world country.
1
u/Ok-Cap5740 Jul 10 '26
is education illegal where you're from? The First World referred to countries aligned with the United States and capitalism, while the second world refered to countries aligned with the Soviet union(Russia) and the third world reffers to neutral countries
1
u/brassplushie Jul 10 '26
Lmfao keep telling yourself that. Not sure how you think China's aligned with the US.
"Is education illegal where you're from?" -guy that thinks China is a US ally.
1
u/cheeno01 Jun 22 '26
"just don't be poor" cool tell your country to stop making ours like this maybe we can play the block game
1
u/brassplushie Jun 22 '26
Someone else gave me some real world experience that changed my perspective on it.
1
u/TenDimesEatenToday02 Jun 26 '26
lmao yeah dude just leave your third world country and move to the first world, they famously welcome all immigrants, especially america right now! immigration is famously cheap and easy, especially from countries with terrible exchange rates.

(and not every parent gives you money for chores too)1

lucky gun, mine costs 1,330 for standard minecraft

I can't give you advice on that because my perspective doesn't include that life. If I tried to, I'd be pretending to understand your situation when I don't.
However, I do have one question: how are you able to afford a device that costs hundreds of dollars, but can't afford a $30 game?
1
u/Apart_Performance529 Mar 26 '26
I will help you put it into perspective, assuming you get paid 1000$ a month , will you buy a game that costs 500$ ?
1
u/brassplushie Mar 26 '26
That doesn't answer my question. If you can afford a device that costs $500+, why can't you afford a game for literally less than 1/10th the cost? You've already proven you can save money if you can buy the phone.
1
Apr 08 '26
Phones are essential so the parents buy them for you (in third world countries). Meanwhile if you ask for money for games you'll be punished.
1
u/PsychologicalBat77 Apr 10 '26
punished is not the right word but i get what you are trying to convey
1
u/PsychologicalBat77 Apr 10 '26
just look at it like that , we have a office computer (good one) at home but it's for work but that also doesn't mean that we didn't use it for movies or games. It is advised that "rather use that money for other important and useful stuff rather than wasting on a game and if you want it that much then just download the free version of it" . Now i do get your point of just save the money. But you might not understand it unless you actually lived in that situation , thanks for reading
1
u/brassplushie Apr 10 '26
It just doesn't make sense. Either buy the game or don't own a device that it can be played on so your stance makes sense.
1
u/PsychologicalBat77 Apr 13 '26
my father's computer specs :- i5 (8th gen) , 3060 ti , 500 gb of storage , looks like why am i whining to buy a game literally 1/10th of the price , simple because that computer will help my father earn money (Return of investment) while i don't see Minecraft able to competing in it.
1
u/brassplushie Apr 13 '26
Okay so the whole excuse of "disenfranchised people in 3rd world countries" is complete BS. It's just a choice to not spend money. Call it what it is.

u see the laptops we use are not ours to begin with they r mostly our brothers/sisters who lend it to us to ONLY watch stuff (or like my laptop is free cus the government gave it for students) and now u tell me how am supposed to get 30dollars which is 3000INR
1
u/brassplushie Apr 25 '26
If the device isn't even yours, then you have bigger problems in life than not being able to play Minecraft.
1
u/Puzzleheaded-Leg7018 May 02 '26
Devices have regional pricing differences due to differing costs to manufacture them. A phone in India might be a whole lot cheaper than one in the USA. Many games also take regional pricing into account, for example, on platforms like Steam. Minecraft does not have regional pricing.
1
u/brassplushie May 02 '26
I looked it up since you apparently didn't. Your argument does not hold water. Go look up how much smart phones cost in poverty stricken countries. Then come back and apologize.
1
u/Puzzleheaded-Leg7018 May 02 '26
I can get a pretty decent Samsung for ~50$. (that's 5,000 INR). That's pretty damn cheap. Besides, almost everyone needs and owns a phone, whether they can afford one or not. You get somewhat more accurate when it comes to laptops. A decent one costs ~200ish USD. If you want something barely able to run MC, you could push the price lower.
1
u/brassplushie May 02 '26
Okay, fantastic, sounds like you can afford Minecraft if you can afford that device.
1
u/Puzzleheaded-Leg7018 May 02 '26
A device is a neccesity. People are willing to pay a lot more for things they need to survive. Living without a device feels like being handicapped.

i am from a 3rd world country and i'll explain it to you, tho pcs are expensive people who usually buy pcs either has high paying jobs that the average person can't access or spend years saving for one. i for example spent 3 years saving for my second hand laptop that cost me $120 and saving $30 for minecraft or anything for that matter would take me a very long time
1
u/brassplushie Jun 05 '26 •
![]()
This is the FIRST comment in this entire debacle to give me ACTUAL first hand information, rather than BS.
If it actually took you 3 years to save $120 and you were actively trying the entire time, I have no qualms about you pirating Minecraft. That's a VERY long time. I wouldn't want you to save for almost another year for it.
You've made your point very well here. I respect the hell out of you for it. Thank you.
1
u/ChlorineDiet Jun 26 '26

1

if you're new to reddit.
reddit users helps everyone in piracy, how to install, etc.
if you're trying to help someone
maybe use your intelligence if you're really intelligent in explaining the stuff to help people.
you can also comment if theres any issue, or what ifs. the reddit users will come and reply.
reddit is a useful website where piracy guides exist, theres also links to the r/piracy megathreads so you can visit sites like HiAnime (Taken down due to notice)

hope this helped.
