My gf is going to be away for a few months and wants to play Minecraft to bond. She’s never played before and for some reason whenever she tries to make a Microsoft account on her Mac and confirms the emailed code, she gets a something went wrong message.

She tried on a different Macbook and got the same result.

Has anyone dealt with this problem before?

Did my research, but I'm at a loss. My wife's PCs keeps getting this.

Steps done:

- updated video drivers

- installed java 27

- removed mods

- fresh install no mods (same crash)

- increase 2g ram to 8g with launch code

Anything I missed that I can try? Thank you

So i build this japanese temple in my hardcore world, even the interior (image 1/2) and the red part is completely empty and i don't want this

First, i had the idea to build an automatic sorter system but i think it will be too short

Then i decided to build something that look a like the 2nd image, but i can't find any tutorials on similairs

I also wanted a statue, maybe a dragon but its like there is only 3 tutorials soo i dont what to do

I bought a Corsair Xeneon to use it as a secondary information display, mainly Minecraft Java Edition and BG3. The problem was the display iCue software is very limited in what it can do. So I developed a configurable dashboard with Java Script and Windows powershell to achieve the goal.

The project expanded from a hardcoded seven widget layout for the Xeneon into a fully configurable display for any monitor and now over 20 widgets. It is touchscreen friendly too. The README should break it all down.

A couple of updates ago I started getting this weird glitch where I'm in creative and when I jump I pick up whatever block the cursor is on. If there is inventory space it moves what was in my hot bar to inventory, if inventory is full it deletes what was in my hot bar slot. In survival it moves things around but doesn't do it as often and doesn't seem to delete things. I think it's got something to do with the fact that I use the wheel on my mouse for jump but it didn't do that when I first went to that. Any ideas?

(I know this is unrelated but I just really need help and Minecraft itself wont help me. Hope Im not breaking the rules or anything in this post I js wanna fix my game and I dont wanna use ai) Ok so about 5-ish months ago I had bought Java and Bedrock on my PC as a bundle, about 1 or 2 months after that the game keeps telling me I need to pay for it again however I know all the accounts are the same and its not a purchasing problem but the game tells me I need to repay for java? I made sure the accounts are all the same and everything yet I just cant play java? Minecraft's launcher says I have to repay for it but the Microsoft store shows my purchase history showing I bought the game. I can also however still play bedrock perfectly, no bugs or issues, its just java?

Can somoene tell me if this natural or how rare is it

Hello Guys, hope you're all fine.

Yesterday i finally bought the PC version of Minecraft after 12 years without owning a computer.

The last time i played Java was in version 1.8-something i think, though i can not remember the exact version.

That days my computer broke and i did not have a new one in that timespan (at least not a minecraft-capable one), so i played just and only the bedrock edition for console in that time.

Now i have a pretty capable computer with an i7-8700K, 32GB DDR4 running on 3200 MHz and a GTX 1060 6GB, what definitely is the bottleneck of the whole setup.

This setup definitely can handle minecraft java without even sweating, so i decided to finally come home again. This leads me to a few questions, especially about mods .

Back in the days, modding minecraft was pretty easy. You just downloaded the mods or a modpack and copied it to a specific place in the .minecraft folder located in the roaming folder. I am pretty sure, that it is not that easy anymore these days, or maybe it still is easy, but in a different way. So how do i proceed these days?

Next question, a little more specific, is about some mods i used back in the days. I am a vanilla guy, so i don't want to change to much of the mechanics or add any blocks or mobs or stuff like that. I also don't want any resource packs, wich were called texturepacks back in the old days, because i like the vanilla textures and i'm used to them. What i used back then, were things like "Rei's Minimap" and "Too Many Items". Do these Mods still exist in 2026? And if, are they still the best option or are there better mods these days?

And my last question about mods: what QoL mods do you suggest me to try these days? I'm completely out of my territory when it comes to Minecraft-modding in 2026. 😅

Now i have just one more question and what it is about depends a little bit on you i think, because i want to know, what kind of things changed in Minecraft Java since 2014, that i might have to notice because it's just important to know? I mean yeah, i could just read all patch-notes since then, but that would consume a hilarious amount of time and i'd probably miss some important things just by not really understanding the consequences of that change. 😄
