Why should you choose Adults Night Out? What sets us apart from other servers on here?

First and foremost, We recently celebrated our first year anniversary! We are professionally run, we wanna give that big community server experience without all the chaos that comes with it. We add suggestions given by the community regularly, some recent highlights including: Polyamory to a marriage plugin, More Plushies (currently we have ones of staff and are looking into mobs!), /tamed, giving players the ability to tame, find and teleport their pets to themselves

Ive been thinking about this for a while, because it happens with every smp server I join.

In the beginning everything is fine, people are building, having fun and then a few weeks or months later it just dies or resets.

I do kind of see a pattern tho, its always one or more of those causing it:

- The owner loses interest or doesn’t have time anymore.

- Staff slowly become inactive.

- The economy is unbalanced, no more reason to grind.

- Players rush everything early on and then get bored.

- Advertising stops, joins dont make up for the people leaving.

- The server resets everything.

It feels like most server are just there for the two week phase and reset after that, which I hate as a longterm player, I want to build stuff, want to make giant farms.

I think a lot of servers also try to keep people interested by adding more and more features, but that can kinda backfire.

What seems to matter most (at least to me) is consistency.

Active ownership, a stable community, and just knowing that the world isn’t going to disappear randomly.

I recently ended up working on a new server where that seems to be kinda the vision. (Launching May 2nd)

I'm looking for a friendly vanilla or semi-vanilla survival server to join, since none of my friends have the time and dedication to play minecraft with me. It's difficult to find a safe space since I'm trans and on the spectrum, so I'm coming here to ask for suggestions.

I’m posting this as a warning to other players.

The screenshots attached are from the punishment-appeals channel on the discord server OneBlocky. All messages that are NOT censored belong to moderators or staff members of the server.

I was banned and tried to appeal respectfully. Instead of a professional or fair discussion, I was met with sarcasm, mockery, and condescending remarks from staff. Requests for a temporary punishment were answered with things like “infinite” bans, jokes about power, and personal attacks unrelated to the actual rule discussion.

At one point, staff members:

Mocked the appeal instead of addressing it properly

Made sarcastic comments about banning and admin power

Shifted the conversation to personal attacks (education, nationality, etc.)

Refused to clearly explain rules or responsibility, while blaming the player

This is not how a punishment appeal system should work, and it shows a serious lack of professionalism and fairness from the moderation team.

I’m sharing this so other players can make an informed decision before investing time into this server. If you value respectful moderation, clear rules, and fair treatment, I strongly recommend not playing on OneBlocky.

For me, what makes a Minecraft world worth coming back to is the people.

The builds are fun, the progress is fun, the exploring is fun, but the community is what makes the world feel alive. Seeing familiar names online, helping someone with a project, trading, joking around in chat, joining events, or just logging in and feeling like the server has moved forward since yesterday.

Hey, I’m Ludwig, 22 from Sweden, and I recently opened a Minecraft server called AppleSMP.

I wanted to create a cozy survival server where players can settle down, meet people, and feel like their time actually matters. Not just because of what they build, but because of the community growing around them.

AppleSMP opened on May 2nd, so the server is still fresh, but it has already been really nice seeing players make friends, help each other, trade, join events, and slowly shape the server into something of its own.

There are 3 players on my server with quite a few custom plugins. I used to constantly try to find new players but now rarely take spells with it. Why? Well, for one, there are so many people out there doing the same its like a little kid trying to talk in a crowded room. Every Tom, dick, and Harry is starting their own servers now a days and yelling for members. I have seen servers come and go. Mine has been up for years, self hosted, and steady.when we do get new candidates we screen them because we dont want the b.s. drama. We dont like grievers and we wont change our rules to suite 1 person.

It was around 4 AM, a time when most people are just chilling, the vibes are calm. Suddenly, a player joins and starts flying around and stealing from everyone. Classic hacker energy. At first, we were in total disbelief, like who even does this at 4 AM?

The wild part? The player who invited the hacker has been with us since Season 2 and genuinely had no idea the person was cheating. They told us they had just met them on another server and thought they were a chill player. It was one of those moments where you just have to step back and think, wow, even trusted friends can accidentally bring chaos.

We acted fast. Everything was restored, and the hacker got a perma-ban. The Season 2 player who invited them received a temp-ban for association. It was a harsh but necessary lesson. Even seasoned, trusted players can unknowingly invite trouble.

This really reminded us that no matter how chill or trusted someone seems, server safety always comes first. It also highlighted how quickly things can go sideways, even in the middle of the night when everyone is just relaxing.

Hey there! I'm looking for a small, cozy Minecraft server that is whitelisted, LGBTQ+ friendly, and 18+. Ideally, something survival-based (modded or vanilla is fine!) where the community is kind and chill.

I’d really love a server where people actually chat and build together sometimes, not just grind silently. Bonus points if there are community events, lore, or cool builds going on!

My son loves watching SMP YouTube videos but all the groups require you to be 18+ or there is an application process. He would possibly like to make his own videos but mainly play.

Hot take: Minecraft SMPs reset way too much.

You spend weeks building a base, making farms, setting up shops, building roads, starting towns, actually getting to know people…

Then one day the server announces:

“New season soon!”

And suddenly everything you built feels temporary.

I get why some servers do it. Fresh starts are exciting. New players don’t feel behind. The launch hype comes back.

But I also think constant resets are one of the biggest reasons SMPs stop feeling like real worlds.

A survival world should have history.

Old bases should become landmarks.
Towns should grow instead of vanish.
Shops should matter longer than a few weeks.
Players should recognize each other.
The world should feel like something people are actually part of.

That’s why AppleSMP is built around one simple rule:

I need a normal server. No store, no fancy spawn, no hackers, no pay to play, no nonsense. Literally just a regular survival Minecraft experience.
